- fkr3, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12It's not the LA Times fault - they don't use Digg so they haven't heard of him.
Maybe if his fans spent a little time marketing him in "the real world" instead of just "on digg" he'd have been included? - mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6I used to.. now I'm just tired of the spam.
- danakin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6...on Digg. Where all Americans get their news...
See fkr3's comment above. - gltskline, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Thomas Jefferson said, “Our citizens may be deceived for awhile, and have been deceived; but as long as the presses can be protected, we may trust to them for light.”
Thank goodness there is still a place we can get our news -the internet! The mainstream media outlets have the real news locked out. - 1ncontrol, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10I think Ron Paul's is somewhere in the middle between online polls and MSM polls.
In this online poll, for example, he got 72%:

In MSM polls, he gets around 1%. In reality, he is somewhere in between.
Too bad most Diggers who support Ron Paul are liberals...and thus won't vote in the Republican primary! - gerbil20, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4What you need to realize is that a majority of supporters only "support" Pon Raul on the intarners. In reality they are going to vote for the other guy.At LGF, Pon Raul is a smashing success ever since CJ introduced him in every poll instead of "I don't care" option.
- JHB800, on 10/11/2007, -7/+10I know I'll get dugg down, but really, who cares about Ron Paul?
Buried as SPAM. - AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Wow, considering how short this story was was on the front page before being buried (< 1 min), things aren't looking so swell for Paul on digg either!
- AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yep, looks like the latest polls still have him at 1-2%.
Things aren't looking too good for Paul...

- EternalNite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Thank you.
- EternalNite, on 10/11/2007, -11/+12@ pseudorious
Is that true? From what I could tell (and I could be wrong) he is in most of the national polls but he just gets really bad results. - corevette, on 10/11/2007, -7/+8This has made me angry enough to decide to write an e-mail to the LA Times at timespoll@latimes.com. I encourage you all to do the same. Mine was as follows:
Dear Editor, Pollster, or whomever it may concern,
I recently saw your Republican Primary poll and noticed a glaring omission: Ron Paul was not one of the choices. You listed Fred Thompson (who is not even officially running) but you decide to omit Dr. Paul? You also listed Huckabee who, according to the FEC, has raised less money than Paul in the first quarter of 2007. I have a simple question for you: Why did you do this? Was it just a mistake? If you can give me a satisfactory answer and launch another poll with Paul’s name then I will be content. Otherwise, I am prepared to boycott your newspaper because of your unfair coverage of the election. Thank you and have a nice day. - EternalNite, on 10/11/2007, -9/+10Right... "spammers"
- mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Who knows.. maybe the LA times readers would see the poll and his
edit: digg cut off the rest of my (sarcastic) comment somehow. thanks digg. now I'm too tired to rewrite it. goodnight. - Scopitone, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5Oh no. Now he'll NEVER win!
- bightchee, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2First they digg you, then they ignore you, then they bury you, then you.... don't stop spamming?
How dare you compare the struggle for India's independence with your efforts to get Ron Paul's name in front of everyone for good or bad. - gerbil20, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3Not everybody voting for Pon Raul is liberal. I vote for him in every online poll to skew the numbers. I only wish I could see the faces of poor morons supporting him for real when they realize that his "popularity" doesn't go beyond online polls.
- laserjobs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Why would anyone bury this story?
- sureuhhuh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." Mahatma Gandhi
Just because the LA Times/Bloomberg polls ignored Ron Paul, I've donated another $25 to his campaign. Hee! - jorazzle, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3I hope people can get over "I see too many Ron Paul stories" and really understand what something like this means to our country - whether you are a RP supporter or not. The media, more specifically the few producers and executives, are literally deciding for you who you are interested in. You may think it's just a poll, but exposure and recognition as a front runner is what drives a campaign. Like it or not, RP has a ton of support... and for a major media outlet to just ignore him is borderline fascist and embodies what is wrong with this country.
Don't let a handful of individuals whos only interest is their own to take your choices away from you. - Grivako, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1What makes you think people on digg only talk about Ron Paul on Digg? Maybe they are also posting elsewhere and doing other things, I try and be optimistic.
- gerbil20, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2No idea. I digg every story exposing Ponpon and his supporters as utter and hopeless losers. Such as this one.
I mean if someone wants to make an ass of him/herself, who am I to intervene??? - elleanee, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2eternalnite, your brilliance is astounding!
- Pseudorious, on 10/11/2007, -13/+7He's left out of every national poll. This isn't news.
- bightchee, on 10/11/2007, -22/+12Only because spammers couldn't write him in.
