- PongGod, on 12/14/2007, -2/+23Oh, boy, he's toast now. With all this dirt, the neocons are really gonna bury him!
- Shaggy63, on 12/14/2007, -2/+17This guy is more honest and hard working that me and anyone I know put together. Seems like he works hard and is very intelligent. Funny how no one has been able to dig up any real dirt on him. I'm voting this election..
- PAtravler57, on 12/14/2007, -1/+14Dear Mrs. Paul, I just have ONE word of Advice.
COOKBOOK!
In the past you shared you cookbook with Ron's constituents to help raise campaign funds. Now please share your cookbook with a grateful nation and raise Millions!
I am praying for you and the man God gave you. - CAFarmGirl, on 12/14/2007, -3/+13These people are my new heroes. Dr. Paul has my vote!
- lsherris, on 12/14/2007, -2/+12A 9.8 100 is pretty fast now. This is the kind of man who should be president.
- JDenigma, on 12/14/2007, -1/+9It's also amazing given this guys integrity and belief system that he became a politician of all things. He's like an anomaly. I guess that's indicative that he's only in politics for the purposes of attempting the futile task of fighting the beast from within unlike all other politicians who go into government because 1.) They want power 2.)They're busybody idealists who think the role of government is to help people.... or 3.)They go into politics because they don't want to do real work for a living.
- blorc, on 12/14/2007, -2/+10"Ron delivered newspapers in grade school early in the morning. He had to put the newspapers inside the screen doors and not just throw them in the yard. And speaking of yards, he mowed a lot of lawns, and he didn't have a self-propelled lawnmower. He paid for his first year of college with newspaper and lawn-mowing money.
During high school, Ron worked in a drug store – his brothers said he worked there so he could eat ice cream whenever he wanted it – but he learned a lot about business and pharmacy that helped in years to come. He also had a part-time job painting the school in the summer and delivering furniture for a local store. In college, he delivered laundry, and he even delivered mail during the Christmas holidays."
It's sad how good most of us have it nowadays and we don't even realize it. Be thankful for everything you have everyday, and make the most out of your life. Even though I won't be remembered by millions of people as Ron Paul will be, I hope I'm able to live my life as well as Ron has and that the people I know/love will remember me the same way. - inactive, on 12/14/2007, -2/+9It doesn't sound like he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. I guess that disqualifies him as presidential material to those in "power". A man of principle scares the hell out of them.
- ThunderLady, on 12/15/2007, -2/+8Ron Paul is the best thing that has happened to politics in my lifetime. I pray that he wins ~ I am happy that he has been blessed with a wonderful family.
- skingw, on 12/14/2007, -1/+73 different Ron Paul cookbooks are sold here:
http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com/html/orderonline ...
I am not sure why they don't sell them on the Ron Paul for President page as well! - inactive, on 12/15/2007, -1/+6Ron Paul = states·man n. 1. A man who is a leader in national or international affairs. 2. A male political leader regarded as a disinterested promoter of the public good. 3. A man who is a respected leader in a given field: “ a mature statesman of American letters ”
Given the proper support he will be one for America. - booyaman1, on 12/14/2007, -1/+5I saw one interview with him where he talked about this. He said he reached a point early in his adult life where he had a decision to make - fight against the system itself through civil disobedience and actions like tax-protesting, or try and work his way within the system and change it from the inside. I imagine lots of politicians get started for the same reason - the difference with Paul is that he did not let Washington and the common practices on the hill change his principles or his goal in pursuing a political career. In other words, he never sold out, to anyone!
- Jimmyb207, on 12/18/2007, -2/+4Man oh man......Ron's voting record and Constitutional stance alone had me hooked. Then I watched all the footage of his speeches and interviews and I was amazed and warmed by his honesty, intelligence and that good feeling I had just listening to him. Now this.....I just had to go read it. Now my heart will truly be broken if he doesn't get what he absolutely deserves, to be President of The United States. Damn it....I just had to go and read this........
- geddon, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2How many times have you read a biography from those in "power" which read: "John was raised by a young subservient European woman who also served as a sex toy once he began to hit puberty. As he grew older, John learned the value of colored people by laying them down in a row and walking across them to get to his limo. These days, John regrets that slavery was abolished, but admits that the low wages also means that he doesn't have to pay for their housing and health care, and that he can simply replace them without having to go to the human market!"
- banmaster, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2Thats nothing. I heard that George W Bush ran twice that fast trying to dodge the Vietnam Draft!
- lannij, on 12/23/2007, -0/+0Give him your money and your time. It's the only power we have.
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -3/+3I knew he was too good to be true. After reading this revealing exposé, I can no longer support him.
- geddon, on 12/18/2007, -2/+2Some of the story was omitted from the site:
We've raised a family of five children, and they have given us eighteen beautiful grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Whenever they come for a visit, Ron reminds them "We don't give handouts to any lay-abouts. You come here to eat you better come here to work!" Most of the grandchildren are frightened of Ron as he doesn't believe in giving free candy to anyone. In fact, it's a Christmas tradition in the Paul household to line everyone up and gift them according to their debt-to-income ratio. As Ron always says, "Let God judge the freeloaders!" - MassiveTaTas, on 12/14/2007, -13/+1She makes the best fish sticks!
