- fixty, on 10/11/2007, -19/+48mmmm... peach mints on table...
wait... what? - coodies4ever, on 10/11/2007, -16/+39i would love for the republican posters to actually try to defend the bush administration rather than just attack liberals
oh wait you can't because bush's administration is disastrously incompetent and corrupt, and you know that too - fearlessfx, on 10/11/2007, -10/+24Almost as many posts on Digg about impeachment as there was a certain hex key a while back.
it was 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 btw - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -9/+23That's all they can do, man. They just resort to using ***** names like "libs" and "moonbats" and focus all of their energy toward putting others down instead of supporting their arguments. They don't have a leg to stand on, and by now I'm conviced that the only people left supporting him are bitter that they voted for him twice.
Bush and Cheney may have many defenders, but they have no defense. - atheinostic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15Whoa Deja Vu
"Bring up some fact-based impeachable offenses and we'd be glad to defend. Good luck."
Dude, you guys haven't been paying very much attention during the past few years, have you?
I'd bring some up for you, but last time I answered a question like this I was lambasted for "copying and pasting from a website" or something like that, for pointing out what laws Bush had been breaking.
Instead of pretending the emperor has clothes on and howling at "zomg lib moonbat crazies who hate bush", why not try rational discussion? You might just like it. - Noctem, on 10/11/2007, -5/+17Again with the false statements, this comes up on every impeachment thread. Clinton did not get impeached for getting a BJ in the oval office, he was impeached for PERJURY. AKA lying under oath.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10"That is PERJURY, which is what he was impeached for."
And found "not guilty," remember? No perjury was committed.
Now, let's have some trials over warrant-less, illegal wiretaps, obstruction of justice, torture, and war crimes. Let's let a jury decide whether Bush and Cheney are guilty. - MrKrinkleDude, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13I'd say go for it, if the entire Congress was on the impeachment hit-list as well. After all, they are doing far worse in public opinion than the President. Short of that, people need to take other actions.
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9All you ***** complaining about the number of impeachment topics ... get a freakin' life. You can FILTER YOUR TOPICS on Digg. Even if you choose to include politics as a general topic for your own version of Digg, there is no law saying that you can't PERSONALLY FILTER and just NOT READ the articles you don't like. Coming here to post your complaint is about the most salient display of your own stupidity that you can get. You hate wasting your time so much that you ... waste more of it complaining on the very threads you hate.
- indiggent, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10Wow, the intelligence level here is beyond words, where to start? Starting a sentence without a capital? I would have thought you would have capitalized the f in *****, at least for a more dramatic effect. Then, first typing the complete word 'you', and then abbreviating it two words later as 'u'. Brilliant, as those long words are so hard to type and even harder for a reader to digest. Oh, and by the way, it's not YOUR website. I can tell that you are not in ownership of DIGG merely by analyzing your grammar.
PS. It's not spelled 'websight', it's spelled 'website'. You can find the correct spelling in context above. - Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10come on, admit it, they jumped on a scandal as an excuse to impeach him. the legal excuse they used mattered not. he was impeached over a scandal.
- facttech, on 10/11/2007, -8/+14Over 80,000 people have participated in a poll/letter-writing campaign concerning whether or not to impeach Vice President Cheney. The 25 most recent comments can be seen at:

Comments both for and against are sought, and they can be sent to elected representatives and local newspapers at your option. The participation page is at:
http://www.usalone.com/cheney_impeachment.php - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+16Boy, if you right wingers are unhappy about there being calls on Digg for impeachment, you're probably going to have a miserable next 10 years. These headlines aren't Digg's problem they're yours. The extreme right is going to be out in the cold for a long while after this last round of corruption, malfeasance and incompetence. Hell the right wing is falling apart, with half of you kissing George Bush's ass and the other half kissing Ron Paul's.
- fixty, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8I knew it was a lot to expect that folks would actually *read* the evidence presented on impeachforpeace.org... *sigh*
- andregriffin, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12I read your comment thee times and couldn't find a point.
Impeach 'em both! - diggbaddy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8so explain it, tough guy. Explain how our GIANT FIST of a military can go in and do precision take-downs of terrorists. Explain how its ok to round up innocent Iraqis and hold them indefinitely, torture them, humiliate them, or kill them, and, subsequently, turn them (or their family or friends) into a new generation of American-hating terrorists that actually used to like us BEFORE we invaded. Explain how we are bringing them democracy by driving down an Iraqi road and firing a machine gun at random cars, with no concern for the damage those bullets might be doing. Explain how this "War on Terror" has lasted longer than our involvement in World War II! Explain how if anyone came and invaded our country because of lame excuse, we wouldn't turn into a giant nation of terrorists ourselves, all dedicated to the defeat of the invaders. Explain it. If my "liberal pea brain" can't take it, i'll let you know. I dare you... convert me. Educate me. I want to know what you know. What you think. Or, what is more likely, what you THINK YOU KNOW.
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6You've read Coulter's book on "How to Deal with Liberals, if you Have To" ... haven't you?
I could tell by your excellent use of diplomatic language and your willingness to compromise. - terminal157, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5This might be hard for you to understand, but some people don't like Clinton and, AT THE VERY SAME TIME, don't like Bush.
- UberNick, on 10/11/2007, -13/+17***** you
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Really? When did digg go public? Oh wait, or is Digg like a town park paid for with taxes?
Since you're an idiot, I'll explain what it means to "go public".
A company can "go public" by making it's stock purchasable on the open market. Buy a share for x dollars and you own a piece of the "websight". Right now Digg is a PRIVATE company meaning, it's privately owned by the OWNERS, and NOT the public, and definitely NOT YOU. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6A) This isn't about Bill Clinton
B) Who was Richard Armitage working for at the time? The Bush administration.
C) Hillary Clinton isn't a liberal. Neither she nor her husband have ever been liberals. - andregriffin, on 10/11/2007, -9/+13Talk about America finally waking up, no?
- zelig, on 10/11/2007, -9/+13They bitch but don't bother to vote!
- clyde2801, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Typical Republican, talking out of both sides of their mouth. Weren't you the guys who tried to impeach the President for lying about a blowjob?
- clyde2801, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Umm...IMPEACH THE iPHONE!!!
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4It is different and only you clods continue to blithely bark along as if it wasn't.
EVERY President cleans out the AG when coming into office. NO President cleans out the AG members HE HAS HIMSELF APPOINTED, simply because they aren't behaving the way he wants them to. Using the AG as your own personal legal attack dogs and then ***** the ones who refuse is NOTHING like Reno's housecleaning. You know it, too. - Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Why are you here posting if you dislike The five seconds you wasted reading the header turned into a couple of minutes with your post, so you just cost yourself MORE time.
- fixty, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Thewisenoob, in his wisdom, has castigated, albeit confusingly, my lame Homer Simpson impression. In doing so he has made us wiser. Like he is. Thewisenoob.
- kageki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4How does any of this justify Bush's action?
Here how about this. Lets say we can retroactively impeach Clinton then I would be all for impeaching both Clinton and Bush. Can you agree to that? - mousebite, on 10/11/2007, -12/+15Impeachment? Yawn.....How was the weather for everyones 4th?
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8Why did you click on it, then?
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Correction: Berger COPIED documents, leaving the original digital versions in the library. That's some cover up operation. Either Berger was an idiot or it wasn't a cover up to begin with.
Secondly ... shouldn't you wait until Bush heads out the door to see what his parting gifts will be before opening your yap with a comparison? Lots of time left for Bush to be adding to his total. - kageki, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Then please explain it to me.
How do you ever win a War on Terror when the terrorists seem to just keep on recruiting? - bshock, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Impeach Bush! Impeach Cheney! Impeach them now!
- Gaki, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Oh, the Liberals understand there is a War on Terrorism, all right. They just want to fight it a different way. Do you honestly think you can blow the ignorance, frustration and fanaticism out of a population with force of arms? You would do more with teachers, diplomats and trade in 50 years than you will EVER accomplish with a military solution. The only solution on the table, though, is the military option and it seems to be the only option anyone on the right seems to consider. Lots of closet Rambos in that camp, it seems.
- kageki, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yes the world is full of crooks even in the US government and in Saudia Arabia and anywhere else. How do you possibly make up such a lie that the world doesn't care? US actions have tremendous global effects and especially war. Off course everyone cares.
Resources to do what exactly? Fight terrorists? Lets see Osama attacks the US because he doesn't like us being over there so then we proceed to go back there with even more people? There's really no logic at all. It's not like Saddam actually had anything to do with 9/11. Why don't we just go kill Fidel Castro or Kim Jong II now by this logic?
If this CIA agent leak case was not so secret and not a big deal as you like to imply then why is there an actual case? How does being a publicity whore of a husband have anything to do with it? This leak came right out of the Bush administration. Armitage, Libby, Cheney it doesn't matter. They are part of the same gang. How is that not significant? - kageki, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Iraq war - a senate vote does not mean its an accurate representation of the will of the people. We did remove a terrible person from power but were we justified to do so? Were we justified to claim a PREEMPTIVE war on Iraq? That is the basic core issue of the Iraq war that you seem to utterly fail to grasp. It is also one of legality. Mind you most of the world didn't agree with the war.
Scooter Libby - Explain to me the case that he is involved in. Maybe then you will see what the fuss is about.
The Firings - It may not have been illegal but it was certainly of very questionable nature. It was damn right inappropriate.
These right wing mantras lack any and all context and makes absolutely no sense. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7Again, and found "not guilty."
- IbnDigg, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"I admit it …I was slow to join the impeachment bandwagon"
Bloody hell, what took you so long??? Or is it that you thought hold on, this will get me a frontpage digg article, let em join the gang.
Sorry for being so sceptic, but it's because of my frustration at seeing America being turned into a monster by the Bush regime and those that support it directly and indirectly. - kageki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Republicans did in fact waste tremendous amounts of money and time trying to impeach Clinton over something stupid as a blowjob. You had your time in the sun back then.
Democrats cry for impeachment over far more serious matters and its petty? It's our time in the sun now. Get over it.
I would've actually agreed to impeach Clinton based on those pardons he gave then and I also agree to impeach Bush now. See I'm not partisan. I say impeach all dirty scumbags. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4B-b-b-b-but ... CLINTON!!!!
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Then there is that magical time between graduating high school and buying a house where they get to vote for all sorts of idealistic nonsense... then they wake up as to how the real world works, and see their taxes being wasted and suddenly conservativism (fiscally at least) starts looking like it makes sense.
- johnbellone, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I'd rather have this on the page than endless iPhone stories.
- thatsmyaibo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+7I've been a digg user for a long time (reading since day one and I created an account later on). I was friends with Kevin Rose while he was developing the site (I worked at g4 with him). It used to be a great site that had a ton of tech issues and would create good discussions and now it's all left wing propaganda blogs and flavor of the week tech items while everything that goes against the grain, no matter how true, gets buried. From people who hate censorship, there is sure a lot of it on digg.
- fixty, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6http://www.impeachforpeace.org/evidence/
Sorry about the all-caps - was a quick cut and paste, but here are the things that seem to me to be impeachable offenses. (the url has supporting evidence and lots of it - way more than could fit in a comment)
ILLEGAL WAR
ILLEGAL SPYING
GENEVA CONVENTION VIOLATIONS
ILLEGAL DETENTION
ILLEGAL RELEASE OF CLASSIFIED INFORMATION
ILLEGAL FREEZING OF ACCOUNTS AND RESTRICTION TO FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY
ILLEGAL USE OF SIGNING STATEMENTS - twinklyJesus, on 10/11/2007, -6/+8This is the reason we don't try to defend Bush, your point and reality went separate ways a long time ago. Clinton was impeached NOT for a bj, but for lying under oath in a Congressional hearing regarding charges filed against him for sexual harrassment of three women OTHER than Monica Lewinsky. That is PERJURY, which is what he was impeached for.
idiot - maskidat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dennis Kucinich was right all along, with the guts to speak out, not only against this insane war but also against the local good ol' boy network in Ohio. He saved Muny Light for the people at great personal cost to himself, but he made a comeback and deserves our support. To this day, their neighboring cities who gave in are still paying through the proverbial nose [whatever that means?] for their morning juice. He is for people, not corporations. Readers, which are you?
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -7/+9Yeah, me too.
- TDR25, on 10/11/2007, -6/+8I was all for impeachment the start of his second term, but now I think that it's utterly useless considering the great idiotic dictator has already put this country back about 200 years. Science, ***** it. Abortion, no way, fighting senseless wars, he's all for it. I could name a lot(A LOT!) of other things this president has done to screw this country over, but I'll let his record speak for itself.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+10@ thatsmyaibo: right on. hope digg.com doesn't slip into the muck. I'm getting a very good sense of the readership demographic on here.
