- alapoet, on 07/10/2008, -1/+41There are a couple of things we can do, including joining organizations that fight to protect our freedoms and against domestic spying, such as the EFF and ACLU.
Also important is to remember and support the 28 Senators and all the Representatives who voted against the FISA bill which includes telecom immunity. - lucy22, on 07/10/2008, -2/+39This is scary. We are progressively losing our privacy and freedoms. How is this happening. Can't we stand up together and stop this?
- VKMO, on 07/11/2008, -1/+31I'm just glad that someone's sticking up for us (the EFF and the ACLU)...
We certainly can't count on most of our Congressmen! - silverleaves, on 07/11/2008, -2/+20I have a friend who no one can find. He lives beneath the radar but he gives up social security but then again he doesn't pay taxes. I still can't figure out how he does it. He's not homeless, not a druggie. Just lives his life sliding along. Cool.

The Vichy Whores in Congress aren't spineless, they're acomplices. They want telecom immunity, because they know it gives THEM immunity from the same crimes. Naturally, they're being paid by the telecoms for their assistance in this, so it's a double dip for them: no jail time and some extra cash. - WantToPlay, on 07/11/2008, -0/+11I'd might as well just leave all my windows open, with the curtains pulled back. So that way they can just see in and not have to sneak..

They're holding a mass exorcism in Nov to banish him forever. - greenfyre, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6Get a 360 webcam and leave it on, it's cheaper to monitor you from head office - have you no respect for the taxpayers?
- sconnor, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4You may view me as an optimist, but I've got more than a feeling that "The People's rEVOLution" will reign sovereignly when all is said & done.Perhaps it has had to come to this to "wake" people up & become involved as it is,afterall, our Constitutional duty!
- affordableweb, on 12/15/2008, -0/+3question is are you prepared to lead your own revolution? at this point we need more than talkers. we need fighters.
- sconnor, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3YES, we can! :~}
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2Yes, but I'm not a fan. Personally, I don't think that somebody that old can make as many about-faces in his beliefs, without there being a reason to question his motivation.
- elitesystem, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2sconner, way to go ;)

- uncleosbert, on 12/30/2008, -0/+1the right to anonymity is going to be the big one for our generation i think. will we press the expectation that corporations don't share our records without a warrant? this is a situation no human beings have confronted before in history.
- sconnor, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1NO,they don't give a hoot.
- spleeyah, on 12/29/2008, -0/+1dugg for Bush's speech-bubble.
- sconnor, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1I stand within the light along with countless others,& together we work to turn the darkness into day...which is inevitable.I believe that is the reason for the recent swell of activity because "They" are scared ********!!As they well should be as they run out of shadowroom to hide.
- andruslinda, on 07/12/2008, -2/+1It's sad to know thaat all our freedom are being slowly taken away. The goverment is suppose to be the people, us, we the people. Look at the state of affairs, and all around the world, Soon the anti-Christ will be here, and evil will be 100% everywhere . Where do you stand?
- Dauntless1, on 07/11/2008, -2/+1You should have had the /sarc tag on, now you got dugg down:)
- inactive, on 07/11/2008, -7/+3We should all show Obama our gratitude for recognizing the steps that needed to be taken to keep us safe, then voting to make sure those protections are put into place.
What a fine president he'll make!!
Seriously though, they ought to make a category titled "none of the above" on the ballot. At least that way, I'd actually be able to cast a vote in the Presidential election this year.
