My worry is that those on both sides who feel that the bloggers are beginning to impact their own programs will spam the bloggs in order to shape the discussion. Blogs, like the papers, could become one more of many dis-information sources. WE have to carefully vet the data and move the discourse away from invective and ad-hominem attacks. It is up to US to exclude, ignore and ridicule where appropriate, any attempt on either side to resort to name calling and falsification of data.
