- acevoncash, on 07/09/2009, -12/+227I think this falls under the 'no *****' category.
- homercles337, on 07/09/2009, -8/+17655%?! 55 percent?! What are the other 45% thinking? There will always be those completely blind 22 percenters, but that still leaves another 23% that think she *is* fit to be president? Now that is insanity.
- krakkinem, on 07/10/2009, -10/+110I wouldn't trust her with sharp scissors. The presidency? Um, yeah.
- Bowd99, on 07/10/2009, -8/+92For a country that constantly brags about being the greatest country in the world, you sure have a sizeable demographic with incredibly low standards.
- Sagags, on 07/10/2009, -10/+78Did they really need to take a poll to find this out?
- yocouchdigga, on 07/10/2009, -8/+7237% thought she would be fit.
100% of them are out of their god damn minds. - MiddleAmerica, on 07/09/2009, -19/+66
Key Reason For Palin's Resignation Appears To Be False
http://theplumline.whorunsgov.com/republican-party ... - sugarazor, on 07/10/2009, -3/+49"She couldn't be worse than W"
Oh I beg to differ. Say what you will about W, but "quitter" certainly wouldn't enter the discussion. After all the memos that have been released, I honestly have a bit of sympathy for Bush. Sure, he's still the worst president ever, but he just seems so gullible and naive, there's almost this innocent quality about him. I feel like W was a decent human being who thought he was doing good, but was surrounded by truly evil and manipulative cretins like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, etc.
Palin, on the other hand, is all of Bush's worst qualities, mixed with the political ambition of a Karl Rove. She's dumb as a rock (although that's an insult to rocks), a Jesus™ freak, and someone who thinks with her gut rather than her pea-sized brained like Bush; but then she's also a master manipulator, vindictive and just plain nasty like ol' Turd Blossom. Palin's possibly the worst thing to enter national politics in the history of this nation. - tomarocco, on 07/10/2009, -2/+43Palin/Hilton 2012
- Firstdaughter, on 07/09/2009, -2/+42I was just thinking the same thing homer... That 23% that think she *is* fit to be president aren't fit enough to vote IMO... :D
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -18/+50She couldn't be worse than W., Rather, I think she'd be fun to watch on TV, and it would give SNL some great material.
Seriously, she shouldn't be in charge of anything, especially in an office where she determines when to put people in harm's way.
In other news, she got another message on her answering machine I heard: "Hey, Palin, it's Putin, look out your window, I'm still mooning you!!!!" - Bowie, on 07/10/2009, -2/+30Well, in any poll, you're going to have the usual 15% "functionally retarded" voter block. And no, i'm not kidding. Demographically, 15% of the population is "functionally retarded", i.e. they're able to get through life, but they're dumber than a bag of hammers, easily misled, and often don't posess critical thinking skills.
Watch CNN's webpage polls if you don't believe me. They can ask something completely ***** moronic like "Carbon dioxide causes global warming! Should exhaling carbon dioxide be made illegal?" ..The morons will come rushing in to pee in the gene pool, and answer yes to questions like that. - captspaulding, on 07/10/2009, -6/+28Yes, she is really that scary.
- goldstandard88, on 07/10/2009, -5/+27Sean Hannity says she is qualified to be president.
- ThatsNotPoetry, on 07/10/2009, -8/+30The fact that it doesn't say "Everyone ever says Palin unfit to be president" is why we need another good plague.
- Bowie, on 07/10/2009, -13/+34In other news, water wet, sky blue. Coming up next -- Is ice cold? We'll find out.
I'm still waiting to hear her explanation as to her supposed "son" Trig. She claims she was pregnant, yet, all the photos of her in the press prior to her announcement that she was pregnant show her stomach to be completely flat, and when her water supposedly broke in Texas (*cough* shefoundoutBristolwasgoingintolaborbackinWasila*cough*), she didn't go to the hospital... Nope. She went to the airport. And took a flight to Seattle. Did she stop and go to a hospital there? Nope. She hopped on another flight to Anchorage. Did she stop at a hospital there? Nope. 10 hours later, she drove to Wasila, to go to the MatSu Reigonal Hospital, to supposedly give birth to a child under the supervision of a doctor who happens to be a political appointee of hers. There's no record of a Trig Palin being born at MatSu that day. Or any day. I wonder why.
Oh wait, I know, she's a manipulative two-faced Jekyll & Hyde *****, and a terrible liar to boot. Protecting your children from the scrutiny of the press is one thing. Lying during a time when the public absolutely needs to have clear information to vote from, that's quite another.
The good thing is, people like Palin are fundamentally unaware of the capability of the Internet. They'll continue to blanket their lives with lie after lie, thinking it will go unnoticed or unchallenged. My, how times have changed. - govtdoesnotwork, on 07/10/2009, -3/+22Actually, the Palin-worshippers are the same ones who do the majority of the mindless bragging.

Only Three Palin Ethics Complaints Were Still Pending
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/07/ ... - smacksaw, on 07/10/2009, -3/+21Wow, so she doesn't understand how budgets work, either.
I should stop being amazed, but for some reason I get lulled into the whole "she can't be that dumb and dishonest" thing. - Leo55, on 07/10/2009, -8/+26never knew people would consider her at all. it is like considering Britney Spears to be president. Will. Not. Happen.
- lanemik, on 07/10/2009, -1/+18Good jesus man. I'm as big of a Palin hater as anyone (yeah, I said I hate Sarah Palin) but this whole "Trig isn't her baby" ***** died a long time ago.
1) Who the ***** cares? Nobody.
2) Harping on it makes you look worse than a Birfer. Drop it, you're making other sane Palin haters look stupid.
3) There are so many other real & rational problems with this bone head that taking a trip down nut job lane isn't required.
The birfers are after Obama about this whole nonsense birth certificate non-issue because they don't have any real reason to go after him. They're trying to score points based off of lies and misinformation. Palin is such a complete idiot that we don't have to resort to that kind of crap. Let the snowbillies live their weird Jerry Springer lives and focus on Palin's demonstrated inability as a leader and her bizarre actions instead. - yehaww, on 07/10/2009, -6/+21Because the Liberals know all the Hannity lovers might be just crazy enough to support someone like Palin for President. It's like watching a train wreck.
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -3/+17YOU BETCHA!
- ThatsNotPoetry, on 07/10/2009, -3/+17"She couldn't be worse than W"
She could be SO much worse. Your eagerness to make Bush the root of all the earth's problems makes you say silly things. I hate the guy, too, but I'm also a logical, realistic person. - lanemik, on 07/10/2009, -3/+17Everyone gather around. I think zebraz needs a group hug because his favorite girl is getting picked on. Chin up buckaroo.
- MikeRiley, on 07/10/2009, -2/+15It's a pity thing. People like her personality and are upset she gets bashed by the media so much. Unfortunately they equate that with her being a good choice for president.

Seriously? This is the "poll" we're talking about.
I mean, I think Sarah Palin is exactly what the Republican party needs: another closed minded leader the likes of Rush, Glenn, and Mr. O'Reilly. With these misguided people in charge, the GOP will eventually dissolve. I want nothing more.
But you gotta admit that this isn't much of a poll. It really shouldn't be on the first page. Except maybe on seattledigg.com.
923 voters? There are more people than that living in my crappy apartment complex! - frankdozier, on 08/10/2009, -1/+13My op-ed proceeds go to a center for single mothers. Does that count? These girls couldn't use birth control, so now their lives are changed forever. I try to teach them life skills. . . .
Anyways. . .I digress. So let me know if that counts, OK? After all, somebody has to look after these babies here in this country, where -- again -- birth control is not allowed. - Lunarsight, on 07/10/2009, -2/+14Krakk - I wouldn't even trust her with a pair of dull, left-handed scissors.
- acknotSW, on 07/10/2009, -1/+12True, bush wasn't evil, he was just hopelessly unqualified to be president.
- Mujokan, on 07/10/2009, -1/+12Two thirds of the costs that the State has outlined relate to the ethics complaint Palin filed *against herself*. http://www.juneauempire.com/stories/070109/sta_457 ...
She chose to use a private law firm to defend herself against herself -- this is where much of her debt comes from.
The next biggest cost to the State was a case which ended up with a staff member getting ethics training, and it has been referred to the Department of Law and is still pending.
The rest were low-cost or even no-cost. - snarkastic, on 07/10/2009, -4/+15@zebraz
No, he is driving the country left out of the toilet. - hutch619, on 07/10/2009, -4/+15What I want to know is why 48% of Republicans feel MORE LIKELY to support her in a run for President now? I didn't realize that "cutting and running" from responsibilities was something they admired. Looks like Bristol should have gotten that abortion after all!
- cmotdibbler, on 07/10/2009, -3/+13touche, well played sir!
- Suricou, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1037% think she is fit to be president, not 45%.
the difference is probably made up of the 'not sure' answer. - kawaiirobo, on 07/10/2009, -7/+17 Of course she's not fit to be president, she's a woman.
- cmotdibbler, on 07/10/2009, -2/+11*Ring Ring* The 1950s are calling.... they want their Cold War mentality back.
- SweetDaddyD, on 07/10/2009, -0/+9Why couldn't Helen Keller drive a car?
She's a woman. - greendalek, on 07/10/2009, -1/+10Could you kindly cite your assertion "endorsement of every major terrorist group in the world?" First off, who ARE these groups (something I'm sure the NSA would dearly love to know), and second, exactly when were these "endorsements" made? In the weeks leading up to election day? Don't really remember these being in the headlines. Did Osama bin Laden submit an editorial to the New York Times or something?
- ejeckert, on 07/10/2009, -1/+10Well Barrack is certainly doing a bang up job...did you really expect a 3 year junior senator who spend 2 year seeking a higher office to know what he was doing? Lets also take into consideration he came from the most corrupt state government probably in history. Honestly...if you think this guy is doing a good job your dreaming. Sure he inherited some stuff but when you campaign on promises of fixing and blame only to enter the office and make matter worse within 120 days...now I blame him! As for Sarah Palin...she wasnt running for president so these comparison I hear time and time again arent even apple to apples. Furthermore to do a far comparison let look at Joey B...do you think he is doing a good job? And enough with the blaming and finger pointing. Much of the additional deficit has been caused by all this spending...remember the campaign promise barrack made..."I'm gonna go through the budget line by line" apparently he did and managed to find 8000 spaces to add stuff. How does acorn get 3 billion?, How is that california get threaten by the feds not to give california its bail out because the union worker there dont want to take a pay cut when everyone else in the state has to?, what happened to the 100 billion that was to save GM? Or all the appointees that had to decline because of Tax problems, or indictment, bribery charges. I love the flight of air force one on earth day to Iowa for a one hour speech. I am done giving this guy chances. He has clearly made think far worse than what he inherited! It's about time he became our president and less of a celebrity. There wasn't much room for mistakes when he got into office now there is at least 3 times the amount of damage he has caused in the 1st 120 days since he took off!. The sad thing is it keeps piling up, less people working, people who are working are making less, and now with his spending he is going to take more from all. We haven't even begun to feel the mistake he has made and now he wants to tack another stimulus on...remember the first one...that promised unemployment wont go over 8%...suprise its at 9.5%...and growing. Once again if you honestly think he is doing a good job your drink the jim jones Kool-aid...for those stupid ass college kids who voted for "change" probably dont know who jim jones is good luck trying to find a job. And then there was Sarah...the media easily destroyed her. Yes it was easy but still with the exception of one channel Fox, barrack got worshiped by the media...and pretty much still is. Enjoy your new leader. At his current pace at the end of 4 years it will take us decade to recovery from his lack of governmental decisions and experience that put us in a much much bigger hole! To top it off...Stuart Smalldick just ruined our checks and balances. God Help Us!

Now you explain George W. Bush. - Zippo, on 07/10/2009, -7/+16Smart? You HAVE heard this woman talk, haven't you? Even Republicans were cringing.
- Suricou, on 07/10/2009, -1/+9If, hypothetically, Palin were to become president, I imagine half the executive branch would immediatly turn their attention to damage control - keeping her occupied, keeping her out the way, and distracting her with shiny and irrelivent matters and unimportant bills she can campaign for or against. Anything to keep her from actually trying to goven - or worse, realising that she is the Commander in Chief now, and she has the nuclear launch codes. She'd probably find a lot of people are 'forgetting' the orders she gives.

- darkciti2, on 07/10/2009, -0/+8Everyone knows that The President of the United States can't be confined to the kitchen.
- Closso, on 07/10/2009, -0/+8Yeah I heard about a poll that said the same thing a while ago... I think it was around the first week of November last year.
- algaeturd, on 07/10/2009, -7/+15I would have left the country if she was elected for at least two main reasons:
1. Get out while the getting is good and
2. To avoid the sheer destruction she would bring upon this nation. Do you remember how she would rile up the rednecks into chanting racist and offensive slogans?
I think that she's a true waste of a human. She's clearly next to uneducated and nobody seems to mind that she got really, really close to the White House as someone who seemingly has about the intelligence of the average 8th grader.
Gotcha questions? The most basic, inept softball lobs to ever be thrown by the 'press' and she lacks the simplest knowledge that should be standard (at the very least) for someone to be considered for even the veep position.
Just sad. So, so sad that she got as far as she did. And embarrassing. Very, very embarrassing that our country is that gullible and that dumb that they'd look at someone like her and think,'yeah, she'd do a good job.' She knows nothing about American history, foreign policy, no experience dealing with other nations, no knowledge of even the most basic government polices and processes that you learn in 6th grade civics class and Americans think she might make a good president at some point?
Yep, this country sometimes get what it deserves and people hate that. I hate it because I know better. They hate it because, well, when people are dumb and they get what they want, they're usually pretty bummed. Just human nature. Kind of like how some people will stick their finger in an electric socket just to make sure they don't want to do it again at some point. -
