- Insightful, on 10/23/2007, -1/+10If he righteously believe it, why not veto it with a flourish? It is because Bush is a coward who wants $190B funding for war and oil but cannot spare any for American children. Compassionate conservatism indeed.
- hawkeye17, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9His Veto of this bi-partisan legislation will just show how morally bankrupt Bush really is.
- yakimushi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7To suggest Bush is morally bankrupt is to suggest he had morals in the first place...
- toddcat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5You've answered your own question. Like Karl Rove saying "bring me one of those faith-based motherf*ckers" in order to assuage the religious right, while Rove himself is an atheist, Bush in interested in the political benefit, nothing else. Not one other damn thing. He's disgraceful, and he's our President. Poor reflection on us.
- reeder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Oh, there's going ceremony, you self-righteous idiot bastard.
- Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Well if it is any help - at least it isn't like America voted for him.
- EntropyMan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Bush has done so many corrupt signing statements, I'm halfway surprised he doesn't just cross out every clause, write a big "No. ***** the Children!" on the cover, and then sign it, just so he can say he did.
You know Congress is going to override this mofo. It's too good an opportunity. Even the Democrats aren't _that_ stupid. - ruminate, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Somewhere a village is looking for their idiot. It is absurd that he would say it is too expensive while asking for so much for the freakin' war. ugh
