    If you have read investment books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, you'll get an idea what he is talking about. A house is a liability, if you are living in it. It is an investment when you own it and not live in it. (And make income by renting it or whatever)

    The aspect of home ownership tying workers geographically is very true.
