- eliot2000, on 04/11/2008, -7/+387From a Fox clip in the piece:
"From the beginning George Bush has been frequently ridiculed for his speaking style, now, seven years later he is credited with some of the most eloquent and visionary speeches an American president has ever delivered."
I do believe that is the wrongest statement I have ever heard. - rvandy, on 04/11/2008, -20/+351People who watch Fox News don't care about its intellectual dishonesty - they enjoy being told that they are right and they enjoy watching people who disagree with them be bullied. Fox is just another (big) tumor that's part of the greater cancer called the Republican Party.
- extratwice, on 04/11/2008, -7/+285". . .ludicrous amount of flags." So good.
- rufusdog, on 04/11/2008, -9/+206One episode of "The Daily Show" contains more news content than an entire day of Fox News broadcasts.
- rvandy, on 04/11/2008, -9/+202I also love the quote from Murdoch about "the American people are smart enough to distinguish news from opinion, etc..." Unfortunately they're not, and this is what Fox preys upon, and why people STILL believe Saddam was linked to Al Qaeda
- mochaman, on 04/11/2008, -11/+187Go Fox Yourself.
Brilliant! - superduperguy, on 04/11/2008, -33/+145I think you meant to say “Faux News.”
- Ytse, on 04/11/2008, -4/+102"What do you think of that? ...SHUT UP!"
Hilarious.
In other news, I wish Viacom didn't take all of their stuff off YouTube... - pintomp3, on 04/11/2008, -0/+67i love how the flags changed to china and russian red when the liberal was speaking.
- hipnerd, on 04/11/2008, -3/+66"Most wrongest".
Get it right... - inactive, on 04/11/2008, -2/+59I would've gone with the cancer of the mainstream media, but that works, too.
- Changa, on 04/11/2008, -0/+55Yeah, they misunderestimated him.
- Sushiman, on 04/11/2008, -0/+51The Daily Show is NOT a news program and shouldn't be held to the same standards. It's a comedy show. Bias doesn't matter in comedy. Fox News claims to be a news show and therefore needs to not be biased or use these cheap tactics.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+50If that were truly the case, Rupert Murdoch would be out of a job. His entire career is based on exploiting the fact that people are stupid.
- pintomp3, on 04/11/2008, -1/+50the staff at the daily show does a great job of digging up contradictory statements and exposing hypocrisy. bravo.
- way2muchsense, on 04/11/2008, -3/+48And they'll flip back in January '09. No shame. None at all.
- golfguy2788, on 04/11/2008, -0/+41Fox is about as fair and balanced as my left and right nuts.
not very... - trollick, on 04/11/2008, -1/+39SHUT UP!
- Jeepy, on 04/11/2008, -0/+36You do know the Colbert Report is satire right? He's just making fun of yo- oh never mind....
- dafragsta, on 04/11/2008, -2/+37Yes, but they don't attribute ***** Bush with some of the "most eloquent speeches in US history." If anyone believes that, they should drink bleach. It's the most eloquent of all the beverages.
- ligyron, on 04/11/2008, -3/+37Youtube mirror for those not in US: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh-VEAYnIOA
- homah, on 04/11/2008, -1/+34Liberal and Ron Paul tend not to be used in the same sentence.
- sophia137, on 04/11/2008, -10/+42Fox neutered.
- CaptObvious, on 04/11/2008, -1/+33When I was watching it last night, I was sitting there stunned at the amount of bitch-slapping Oliver did to Fox. It was incredible to see Bill O'Reilly do exactly what he does best, so "unsure about how he should react" in 1999, and now he's confident and behind his President. It was amazing, shocking, and hilarious all at the same time.
- ScoobyG, on 04/11/2008, -1/+33The juxtaposition of the criticism of Clinton by Hannity and O'Reilly, and then the defending of Bush FOR THE EXACT SAME ACTIONS (going to war, going over the executive branch) was both hilarious and infuriating.
- rpark, on 04/11/2008, -0/+32Thanks for correctafying that statement.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -8/+38gotta remember white trash conservative bible thumping Americans don't care about honesty and integrity, that's why they vote republican and watch Fox News.
- x0epyon0x, on 04/11/2008, -0/+28It's also why people still think that Obama is a Muslim.
- leeluyu, on 04/11/2008, -5/+32supreme flagalaciousness !! yum.
- sickrubik, on 04/11/2008, -1/+27one conservative leaning news channel? I thought the were fair and balances and not biased? I... see.
- jaydbell, on 04/11/2008, -7/+33Fixed Noise!
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -8/+32Yes, finally you say something that makes sense. I bet that hurt.
Or at lease clearly mark Fox as "Republican entertainment" rather than "news". - zephyr42, on 04/11/2008, -4/+28Both parties are retarded.
- Sushiman, on 04/11/2008, -0/+22Reporting? It's not reporting, it's a comedy show. Why are you people so retarded??
- Defuser, on 04/11/2008, -20/+41Oh, gee. That's INCREDIBLY witty. And original too. *sigh* I know this is a lost cause, but do you have any idea WHY normal people look at you as a juvenile douchebag? Here's a hint: it's the fact that you still think "Faux News" is hilarious, searing wit.
- degree, on 04/11/2008, -7/+26Eviscerate doesn't need a buff when it hits this hard
god i suck....... - LBobRife, on 04/11/2008, -1/+20I hope you're joking about that last line.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -7/+26Tonto, did anyone call for Faux News to be shut down? We defend their right to be idiots and shills, and we defend the right of the bleating sheep to view Faux tripe. Now put your American accent back on, your Nazi accent was just too damn convincing and was kinda scary.
- solistus, on 04/11/2008, -2/+211. Nobody said FOX shouldn't be on TV. Pointing out their immense hypocrisy is not censorship. They're allowed to say stupid *****, and other networks are allowed to produce scathing critiques.
2. The media is not 90% liberal. That's just stupid. When was the last time you heard any other outlet saying anything half as nasty about McCain as FOX says about Hillary and Obama? It's not even close. - mikusjay, on 04/11/2008, -1/+19Go fox yourself!
- tdmand, on 04/11/2008, -1/+19I read somewhere about a test given to viewers of Faux News and viewers of "The Daily Show" (and Colbert Report, etc). The test contained questions concerning recent events and world knowledge. The average 'grade' for a Faux News viewer was failing, while I believe "Daily Show" viewers had a 'B' average.
- divrekku, on 04/11/2008, -2/+20You realize fascists are right-wingers, right? The lefties are commies. Get your insults right, asshat.
- dood, on 04/11/2008, -0/+17And yet Fox does exactly that. Weird, huh?
- nblsavage, on 04/11/2008, -4/+21I'm liberal, and an athiest, never smoked pot in my life and detest Ron Paul. Where do I fit in to your grand scheme?
- Railz, on 04/11/2008, -0/+16Just because you say sorry doesn't mean its okay.
- lovek, on 04/11/2008, -0/+15It's as if The Daily Show were more focused on making us laugh than reporting the news.
Weird.
Of course, I can see how one might think the same thing about Fox News, so the confusion is understandable. - treed, on 04/11/2008, -1/+16Wait, what does Iraq have to do with 9/11?
- staffa, on 04/11/2008, -1/+15Its called satirically and he was intentionally doing it.
3 fox quotes on the 3 leading Candide's for president, they found the 2 most insulting short quotes about the Democrats and the most positive one about the Republican to air in the report. The same method fox uses, satire at it's best. - Tenbatsu404, on 04/11/2008, -0/+14I would like to believe that the hate for fox news transcends political barriers.
