Damn, this is good. Too bad it didn't get more diggs. I love the dark cynicism and sarcasm of it. Nothing like a little nihilistic, cynical, bitter outlook to brighten up your rotten day in your Pollyanish paradise.
This elucidates just how much respect government deserves or rather lack thereof. Not only should government be fisted for it has been ass raping us, but we primitive human beings have been fisting each other all along. This is the reality of our existence with such a disgraceful species we are in spite of our great potential on the other hand. The dark side in us, that vicious, controlling, animalistic side that tries to take advantage of each other, rat each other out, rape each other through government as if we're nothing but vicious animals on the Serengeti plains is the reality of our dominant nature that in all likelihood will forever doom us to "hell on Earth" with slavery and eventual extinction. In all likelihood, the rosy, cheery outlook of a world of peace, civility, liberty, empathy, charity, intelligent critical thinking, ever lasting love and friendship of an innocent child like world in which people aren't jerks towards each other, will forever be doomed to the metaphorical receding water and the hanging fruit just out of Tantalus's reach in Hades.
The nature of the universe is volatile and so too we human beings in the Darwinian animal kingdom are also just a part of this sick nihilistic, existential cosmic game. It's every man for himself in a great power struggle and everything turns to ***** and it's all just dust to dust, startdust to stardust as our bodies go rigid and the breath leaves us as we take the eternal sleep in our exit from this hell and pointless existence. Worms in, worms out. Wasn't it Nietzsche who said something about the choice in life is between suffering and boredom? Yeah, I guess this is suffering or nothingness as there probably is nothing upon death. Wonderful huh? What do I care what I say? In the spirit of the late George Carlin, we all should give a big ***** you to government. Men like George Carlin, H.L. Mencken, and Ambrose Bierce were such great witty, cynical bastards who took pride in offending. Yeah, let's carry on that torch I say. This probably is a pointless existence and the world will just turn to *****. We all go through the motions and then we die. In the interim just enjoy the headache of a ride on this obnoxious merry go round as we suffer each others neurotic control freak hysteria and whining. Human beings are pricks to each other. Life's a bitch huh? Much like the vast part of the empty universe, it's a cold, cold, lonely, quiet, isolated, dark expanse of an existence as we all die alone in our own arms and become just a part of the rest of the fabric of matter in this lonely universe.
Oh yippee! We'll get a fresh new start in Nov. and will "vote all the bastards out" and the world will be right! *Rolls eyes* Right, and some day I can dream about ***** Emmanuel Chriqui and Jamie Lynn Sigler of "Sopranos" fame. Get me some hemlock already. Religion and government really are the opiate of the masses.
So boys and girls, this July 4th, put on your happy faces, go out and get drunk and watch some pretty colors in the sky and drool like Pavlovian dogs! Celebrate your dead holiday! Much like this article, let's all just fist each other! - JDenigma, on 06/28/2008, -1/+3lol I notice someone buried me for posting this.
- synarchy, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1The truth of the piece is that government unbound is among the most evil of terrors, as it slowly devours everything good and decent to feeds its insatiable growth. Men are not all bad, but are turned bad in large numbers when the coercive power of government is used for anything but to secure liberty.
If you believe in existentialism, then life is what you make of it. You don't have to be a prick to survive in a world of them, you just have to be smarter than they are. If you allow yourself to become cynical, they have not won, but you have lost.
