- clarencepaul, on 06/01/2008, -2/+6Shame on a church with such hypocrisy and falsehood, if I went one day there[which I wouldn't] after about sixty seconds, I would run for the door. Twice, Paul the apostle stated in Galatians 1:8:9 if any man preach any other gospel
than what we have preached, or even an angel from heaven; let him be accursed, I don't care how much good they have done for people, God is not impressed by our good deeds, but he looks and listens to what is being preached, and is anybody getting saved and using the holy bible, talking about Jesus and not about politics and hillary clinton.
Jesus also commanded us not to call any man father on this earth[spiritual father, not fleshly] . My church is made up
with black-white-yellow-red, but hearing our minister and choir, you know you have been to church and been in a holy
place. America is full of churches like this church[obama's] only this one is extremely loud and the other ones are
dead as hell itself. Jesus is coming for a sanctified church, holy, separated from the world system, praying, reading their bibles, doing those things that are right in his sight after they have been born again, not instead of, God did not send his son to spill his precious blood for sinners for us to try and earn our own way and bypass the cross. Sorry !
God expects us to live right and let our light shine and witness to the lost, and most of this world is lost, all that name the name of Christ does not know him. - sndesign, on 06/02/2008, -2/+5It is a sad commentary on contemporary America that a spiritual charlatan like Obama has ascended to preeminence. To me, this is looking more and more like God's judgement on our national wickedness. If he is elected, we will most certainly get the president we deserve. "Reverend" Wright's comment that America's chickens are coming home to roost is quite true, although not in the way he intended it. Pray for our nation... I fear dark days are ahead of us. May the Lord be merciful to His true church.
- clarencepaul, on 06/03/2008, -1/+3The bible does state: Judgement must first begin at the house of God, and if it first begin with
us, where does the sinner and un-godly stand ? That verse covers three different kinds of people, the obedient church, the sinner who has never confessed christ, and those who have
and have departed from the faith and living in will ful sin, the latter two I don't believe is going to make it, calvinst doctrine is: once in grace, always in grace, I know we are flesh and we do
sin, but if we turn our backs on him and live in blatent sin and continue therein, I don't believe
you have eternal salvation spoken of in the bible. Read John 6:66 and 2nd Peter 2:20 and Rev.3:10 and Hebrews 9:28 and course there are many, many more, I have actually heard people say: well I know he didn't live right and he was a drunkard, but he got saved when he was a teen and he is in heaven now, that is contrary to the word of God. - lookingforHim, on 06/01/2008, -1/+3Matthew 7:13-23, enough said.
- clarencepaul, on 06/04/2008, -0/+1Nannybell: I would rather believe you are right than myself because of my loved ones who no longer care about the gospel and God's house, but they are not alone, in my 29 years I have seen many preachers and laypersons fall into sin and alot of them I have not known them to repent and come back, one of the words the lord will say to us is well done thou good and faithful servant, how could he say that if it is not true of us ? I don't mean to be legalistic or holier than thou , but God holds us to a standard, Paul even said:
if we deny him, he will deny us, he was not talking about un-
repentent sinners, but dis-obedient, and I know we all sin more or less each and every day, but we should repent each time, I am aware we are none of us perfect, I am not taking our denomination's view of this, this is from my own
study of the bible, Idon't wait for a preacher to interpret for me, not even my own. I like what I heard an old preacher say
one time: if you make it , you will have three surprises, one,
the ones you thought would make it didn't, the ones you thought wouldn't did, and the last surprise, you made it. I
am not a religious nut like I have seen some people, we have
to live among people and not act like we have an halo above our head and God will give us the opportunity to share with
them when the time is right, if we are not careful we can drive them away from the cross instead of toward it.God saved my dad on his death bed,he is very merciful, more so than us,I am not judging, but concerned about people. Thanks for your input. - Nannybell, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1Amen, Clarence !
- Nannybell, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1I believe that those who are saved will finish the race. They may falter somewhere along the way, but they will cross the finish line. God will see to it. It may take a gentle nudge, or He may have to pull the person up by the collar and toss him back into the race; but back into the race he will go if he has been bought and paid for by the Savior. I believe the Bible supports that.
