Many thought that he would take it much further than he did. As a result, there was a tremendous demand for semi-automatic pistols and rifles. Everyone wanted to get one while they still could. Go into any gunstore now and talk with some of the people working there. They will say that the same thing is happening right now. I was in one the other day and the guy behind the counter told me that AR-15's were flying off the shelves about as fast as they could stock them. Between the stimulus checks and an impending Obama presidency, the people are buying.
