- IrishJoe, on 10/23/2007, -2/+11Couldn't they just get Cheney's hunting buddies on the Supreme Court to take Al Gore's Peace Prize from him and give it to Bush/Cheney like last time?
- iching, on 10/23/2007, -1/+6If that is the case then Hitler should be nominated for his outstanding contribution to Birth Control and Family Planning. The National Review on line should be called The Nationalistic Revisionist on line but was earlier known as the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei on line. Footnote in 1984 with the help of RR it was changed to Ingsoc but then later changed its name to the National Review online.
- SheilaNoya, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3Bush & Cheney surounded themselves with 3 groups of people and made them all happy:
- OIL COMPANIES got their high prices, record breaking profits, more drilling contracts in the Gulf of Mexico, and a $22 Billion Tax Break.
- WAR PROFITEERS have stuffed their pockets, globalized their corporations to avoid U.S. taxes, and became immune to all laws.
- RELIGIOUS NUTS are getting their Armageddon, so they can fulfill their stupid bible prophecy and try to bring Jesus back.
This "Holy Trinity of Terror" has destabilized the Middle East even further, created more hatred and terrorism around the world, ruined our image abroad, and bankrupted America.
Whoever stops this evil trio will get the Nobel Peace Prize in the future, not Bush or Cheney. - hawkeye17, on 10/23/2007, -1/+4Is Tom Gross stupid or just evil? It's sure hard to tell with Republicans these days.
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -3/+6The Rightards seem to have a tough time grasping this whole "peace" thing.
- natedouglas, on 10/23/2007, -3/+4You know, I really resent this "peacenik" *****. I'm a veteran, I'm pro-gun rights, I strongly favor deposing and whacking fascist *****, and I don't believe war is inherently wrong. It's rarely anything but the worst option, and I'm sick of being lied to, and I sort of dislike wars that polarize the entire world against us and destabilize an already-volatile region of the country, and I'm not really a fan of profiteering or torture or collateral damage or destroyed infrastructure or robotic machine guns going haywire or substandard helicopters and tanks and missiles with an unacceptable failure rate or...
hmm... maybe I am a "peacenik." I still don't see me saying a prayer over a Bush/Cheney shrine, though... - LastVisibleDog, on 10/23/2007, -3/+2With intellect like yours - the Republican party does not stand a chance
- Insightful, on 10/23/2007, -4/+3Right wingers were probably thinking about peas - as Bush and Cheney surely would win the pea-brained prizes.
