There is, however, a very well known stereotype regarding African Americans being monkeys. Since words are symbolic representations of ideas, the associations that they invoke are dependent upon the ideas that they've been associated with in the past and their context. The same word spoken to two different people can often have a drastically different meaning.

So 86% of white victims were killed by white people - that leaves 14% who were killed by 'not white' people (notice that the study doesn't say blacks).

Some of my best friends are white and I hear stories all the time about how unfairly they are treated in this country due to the jokes of these comedians. They are overwhelmed by them in the media. Almost every time they tune in to BET between 1am and 2am they are bombarded with these jokes that remind them of their plight in the United States.

Blacks committed 1.067 times the amount of murders white people did
Whites killed 5.091 times the number of white people that black people did.
Here's the statistic you should've quoted:
Blacks killed 2.77 times the number of white people than white people killed black people - but I would've come back and told you that those numbers are negligible compared to the number of whites that whites killed...
