Mehlman Attacks Murtha With Report Retracted Six Weeks Ago

thinkprogress.org — In an effort to smear Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), RNC chairman Ken Mehlman claimed Murtha believes "America is more dangerous than Iran and North Korea." Six weeks ago, the Florida Sun Sentinel, who attributed that statement to Murtha, retracted their report. The Sun acknowledged Murtha was referring to an international poll, not his own views.

    The only defenders of John Murtha are ones who are for the corruption that Murtha put into EARMARKS, and the ones who hate America and blame America.
