Religous freedom was proclaimed to protect the minority from excessive moral regulation of the majority. Perhaps they were thinking only of different views of Christianity but it applies across the board. Getting a view of one's character and ethical beliefs are one thing but specific policy views regarding a religious preference or necessity goes over the line. Relgion should have to do with the principles you choose to live by not those you want to require others to live by. It has already been crossed way too much and in fact churches manipulate the environment to their preference in every community in the country. If a majority ever is established that is Mormon or Catholic or Islamic or whatever then, that is a precedent that could be used to govern your behavior by law in lots of ways you might not like.
