- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -4/+42A November surprise?
A crook and liar! - MindyB, on 11/02/2008, -2/+37Go figure, McCain has shown he is just as or more dishonest and deceitful than Bush and Cheney. McCain's true colors coming out these past few months shows what a dirty and dishonorable person he really is. His "honor" mantra has been totally bogus.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -0/+25Investigatos!! My favorite snack. Try the new Cool Ranch flavor.
- Renegade98, on 11/02/2008, -2/+26McCain is hiding a lot more than we will ever know.
- syrynus, on 11/02/2008, -3/+21Yes. She would become the President.
Why do you think some people were so reluctant to impeach Bush? Because the only thing worse than Bush would be Cheney as president! - 10snut, on 11/02/2008, -2/+20Just a hypothetical question...let's say McCain is impeached and expelled or resigns from the office of President in the wake of revelations about his lies in the Keating 5 scandal. Does Palin as his (hypothetical if they win - argh) VP become President of the US?
- mtnmusicman, on 11/02/2008, -2/+20Wow, now that's a surprise!
- iDragonFly, on 11/02/2008, -2/+18How much are you paid to troll?
Or are you just hopelessly ignorant!
My apologies to everyone else for what may sound like a mean response, but I just can't stomach this regurgitated B.S. anymore. - Wryly, on 11/02/2008, -2/+15Long story short... he would entrust the country to a woman he met only once.
Mavericky, yes. Semper fi, no. - cmp1966, on 11/02/2008, -2/+15I've lived in AZ for over 20 years. I'm sorry to say this isn't a surprise.

- flexhose, on 11/02/2008, -0/+11Aeeeeiiii! Los investigatos! No es bueno!
- luvmyworld, on 11/02/2008, -4/+14poprocksandsodapoprocksandsoda .....I think you are the one doing the spinning on the Keating 5(gate).
1989 Phoenix New Times-Tom Fitzpatrick...
Obviously, Keating thought you could make it to the White House, too.
He poured $112,000 into your political campaigns. He became your friend. He threw fund raisers in your honor. He even made a sweet shopping-center investment deal for your wife, Cindy. Your father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was cut in on the deal, too.
So he flew you and your family around the country in his private jets. Time after time, he put you up for serene, private vacations at his vast, palatial spa in the Bahamas......
The money was never really Keating's to give. But he never would have got his hands on it if you and the rest of the Keating Five didn't halt the government takeover for two long years while Keating's people continued their looting......And, of course, that's the way it is with the Keating Five. You are all battling to save your own hides. So you, McCain, leak to reporters about who did Keating's bidding in pressuring federal regulators to change the rules for Lincoln Savings and Loan. When the reporters fail to print your tips quickly enough--as in the case of your tip on Michigan Senator Donald Riegle--you call them back and remind them how important it is to get that information in the newspapers......The story of "the Keating Five" has become a scandal rivaling Teapot Dome and Watergate.
And now, the tab for the Savings and Loan heist must be paid from taxpayer pockets...SOUND FAMILIAR?
and who the hell goes to wikkipedia for the NEWS???????? - inactive, on 11/02/2008, -2/+12He was born in Hawaii, which is part of the states. And nothing wrong with Muslims. Thanks :)

- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -2/+11Obama needs to win.
- akchrs, on 11/02/2008, -1/+10"in all likelihood" LOL!! I guess cause it's a likelihood it must be true.
- RodBorn, on 11/02/2008, -0/+9I have to say that McCain has gotten out of debating and defending this issue pretty clean this year. It says a lot about the man that Barack Obama is. He has had plenty of chances to use this as a follow-up or a major talking point but instead has focused on the issues while the McCain camp has focused on any little nugget of lies or semi-truth to throw out the front door of their glass house.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -0/+9Oh come on, if you really thought he would screw up so bad, you'd just let him win. It's a small sacrifice, but think about it - it would crush any future hopes of the Democrats having any say in politics anymore, if he is as dangerous a choice as you make it sound.
- scrtyfrk, on 11/02/2008, -3/+12Why would you link to the huffingtonpost.com story and not to the original one? If I wanted distilled news with a slant, I would watch FOX News!!! Buried!!!
Here's link to original story.

- freedomjoe, on 11/03/2008, -2/+10Just like when he was a POW. Some things never change. character? Judgment? Integrity? Not so much.
mcCain/Palin- both cheaters, both ethics violators, both not fit to lead - barblibrarian, on 11/03/2008, -0/+7If he was not born in the United States he would not legally be able to run for President of the United States. People a lot smarter than you have figured out a long time ago that he was in fact born in the US. And, yes, he went to a Muslim school. What does that matter? And, sorry, but everything about Obama has been put right out in front of the public. It truly is only the people with substantial brain damage that continue to believe there is something "sinister" there that has not been hashed over a thousand times. I would suggest you go take your medication and get some rest.
- MLGLies, on 11/02/2008, -1/+8Is an Investigato a Spanish Investigator?
- napk, on 11/02/2008, -1/+8And this is surprising because...?
- k3rfuffl3, on 11/02/2008, -5/+12If we can dig up things from when Obama was 8 years old we can dig up things from when McCain was 49.
- Obamacan99, on 11/03/2008, -4/+10This is all covered in the real McCain, READ THE BOOK. Please vote for Obama.
- erkokite, on 11/02/2008, -1/+7Oh, it's just you, Bill.
- aleceiffel87, on 11/02/2008, -1/+7How explosive.
- profoundimagery, on 11/03/2008, -0/+6What took this so long to come out?
- sathias, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5Additionally, isn't Pelosi next in line after Bush and Cheney, if you impeached both? It would look like a coup if that situation eventuated.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6Honestly, when the right-wingers post stuff like this my response is that it's a distractor and we should stick to issues. Really I feel the same way about this.
- k3rfuffl3, on 11/02/2008, -2/+7I think I speak on behalf of all intelligent people: Kindly kill yourself.
- barblibrarian, on 11/03/2008, -3/+8Just one more of John McCain's attempts to take the easy way out. Rather than work for a living, he prefers to have others do it for him, pay it for him, take the blame for him, etc. Sad man.
- JenniferInMO, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6Your knee-jerk response to a HuffPo article is unfounded. Had you read the article you would see that it is based on several other recent pieces. There are also links to pdfs of docs, etc. This article and the sources it cites to makes a pretty convincing case ... if you read it.
- bitsculptor, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6No honor amongst thieves when McCain is involved it would seem.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5Yeah, that's why he issued a formal apology and paid some ethics fines.
- bbjohnnyt, on 11/03/2008, -2/+6Yup, McCain's full involvement with the Keating scandal needs to be revealed. Here is a brief radio interview with Bob Bennett. He was the Dem lead prosecutor on the investigation (and Bill Clinton's personal attorney), so this is about as "straight from the source" as you will get anywhere.

- CheckPlease, on 11/03/2008, -2/+6I hope the lobbyist he's banging on the side doesn't hear about this.
- barblibrarian, on 11/03/2008, -4/+8Since when is Wikipedia a reliable source? If I recall, Wikipedia is written by the general public and can be edited by anyone. There is no one who has a reputation riding on the information on Wikipedia. However, the Huffington Post, etal, have actual human beings who place their names on their columns in order to take any flack and to stand behind what they have written. Sorry - your case does not hold water.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3I think they're Mexican cats who investigate things.
- patpl22391, on 11/02/2008, -3/+6So have I. There's a reason John McCain wins re-elections here with 75% of the vote. Because he's popular. Some polls claim the race is tight in AZ, LOL, we'll see come Tuesday how big McCain's win in Arizona is.
- JenniferInMO, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3Calm down, do you really believe that hype? McCain doesn't. McCain was on Saturday night joking about the William Ayers angle. Do you really think he would joke about something like that if it was true?
- RuffBong, on 11/03/2008, -1/+4Told ya.
- Neiby, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3No. It's a very curious cat.
- Phearce, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3In general I agree with you (less distractions, more issues), but this does go a long way to illustrate McCain's character. He knew these were shady business dealings but he engaged in them anyways. In short, if either candidate had questionable business dealings I'd like to see them brought to light.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -0/+3crackerass! We've been wondering where you've been! Good to know you're still lurking about!
