Marriage is under attack! Man the ramparts!
populistamerica.com — The barbarians are at the gates! We must defend traditional marriage against so-called same-sex marriage. If we allow two men or two women to get married, "terrible" things will happen. Here's the "danger" ...

- moolaismyfriend, on 05/17/2008, -8/+2What always amazes me is the Republicans who hold themselves as holier than though in the marriage department say that a union between two people of the same sex will destroy the fabric of our society. Then they get on a plane and fly to wherever rent a hotel room and bang a hooker while their wife and kids sit in front of the TV watching FOX News tell them that a marriage between two men or two woman will lead to the destruction of the American family.
***** Republicans, they have been an impediment upon the advancement of our society and the freedom of the people who inhabit this country. - SheilaNoya, on 05/17/2008, -3/+3If Republicans want to use the bible as the basis for being against gay marriage, then they need to make divorce illegal too. The bible isn't a salad bar and they can't pick and choose what they like and/or don't like.
While we're at it, let's make it illegal for men to cut their beards too, or for people to wear clothing of mixed fibers. If the bible is the "undisputed word of God" then we have a hundred new things we'd better hurry up and make illegal. Otherwise, they need to STFU.- Snokage, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1way to ignore the New Testament.
- greytfriend, on 05/17/2008, -1/+2The emotional points are good and funny. The financials and legal parts are a bit weak. There is a lot more to it than social security. Health care, car insurance, tons of legal rights. Personally, believe in the separation of church and state. We should have one definition of marriage for legal purposes and anyone can qualify, and let the churches and religions do as they will.
- str3ama, on 05/17/2008, -2/+1Where's there god when they need him to defend the 'sanctity of marriage'? Absentee landlord.
- Angelix, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1I thought the purpose of marriage is to be with your love one forever. What's the problem if they can live happily ever after together? It's not like nowadays marriages always have a happy ending.
- Superperson, on 05/17/2008, -1/+1It might be my crazy liberal agenda talking, but I think that maybe multiple divorces are a bigger threat to marriage than two guys kissing. I'm looking at you, Rush "fourth-time's-the-charm" Limbaugh.
Hell, Newt Gingrich served his wife with divorce papers the day after she finished cancer treatment. I don't think these blowhards really have any right to talk about the sanctity of marriage. - protogenxl, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1The Gay Banditos Strike Again!!!!!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-id4GKsaQk - cg4et, on 05/17/2008, -1/+1I am glad we are making progress as a society on the issue of same-sex marriage.
I just wish we could outlaw no-sex marriage. - lifeteambuilder, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I totally don't get it either. I could care less whether my gay friends get married. It affects me in no way whatsoever. Sheesh! Good Dig!
