- inactive, on 09/17/2009, -35/+89YO GLENN, I KNOW YOU LIKE BEING BAD FOR AMERICA. I'M GONNA LET YOU FINISH, BUT GEORGE W. BUSH WAS ONE OF THE WORSE OF ALL TIME!
- boecho, on 09/17/2009, -23/+63he validates them and makes them feel like they aren't crazy. It's like a cult. A charismatic leader assures them that they are the sane ones, and the people around them are crazy. This isolates them and makes them more controllable.
- cport1, on 09/17/2009, -27/+67Fox is bad for America.
- Crimeodial, on 09/17/2009, -17/+54I heard he may have been involved in some...unpleasantness in the 90's. Anyone know anything about that?
- cport1, on 09/17/2009, -14/+40you're joking right?
- Crimeodial, on 09/17/2009, -12/+38He''s not a newsman. He's a commentator and he does that poorly, with little to no research into his subjects, and yet people still believe him.
- ennuisquared, on 09/17/2009, -6/+29GLENN BECK DOES NOT CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE! WHY? ... BECAUSE MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD!
- inactive, on 09/17/2009, -3/+26Are you saying that he didn't? Prove it. Why won't he deny it? Why has he been silent on this? What is he hiding?
- Neurath, on 09/17/2009, -3/+23David, not to put too fine a point on it, but he was clearly trying to illustrate the sort of innuendo and fanciful logic employed by Mr. Beck. Such tactics are shameful, no matter who employs them, but this instance was clearly satire.
- Crimeodial, on 09/17/2009, -5/+24I didn't say it was true. I just said I heard it. Though I do wish he would come out and deny it.
- Teke616, on 09/17/2009, -11/+30Beck isn't a libertarian as he claims. I see him as more of a quasi-neoconservative who was vehemently for the bailouts, Patriot Act, imperialist foreign policy before he was against them. Thus, Beck's credibility is highly questionable. He denigrated the Ron Paul campaign, as well as, supporters of Bob Barr's 2008 presidential bid for the Libertarian Party (official party members get a capital 'L' while political followers of libertarianism {opposite of statism} get a lowercase).
You know what's decidedly more dangerous than the mainstream media outlets, which posses no credibility in my opinion, is that of a news outlet which deliberately tries to deceive people into thinking that it's not part of the mainstream media outlets. Fox News is the epitome of this. I see so many comments on O'Reilly and Beck suggesting that Fox News isn't part of the MSM that it's scary. Beck is currently using propaganda concerning the mainstream media to suggest that Fox itself isn't subject to the rest of the hypocrisy.
It is my conclusion that people like Glenn Beck are purposely picked up by Fox and used as a poster boy to actually disenfranchise the conservative (paleoconservative) and libertarian movements at the behest of neocon Rupert Murdoch. And Beck's eccentric antics are sure to give the liberals (media included) enough ammo in their stockpile to disenfranchise our movement.
Beware of Glenn Beck... he's a faker and a legitimate nutcase.
In liberty,
Teke - inactive, on 09/17/2009, -4/+21you're bad for grammar
- Haptick, on 09/17/2009, -6/+22It's best to ignore the troll.
- mkrygeri, on 09/17/2009, -2/+16I heard that he may have raped and murdered a young girl in the 90's.. it's all over the place, and he won't deny it. It's understandable because he is an admitted alcoholic. It could be he doesn't remember right?
I'm not saying that's what happened. I am just concerned is all. - Jordo82, on 09/17/2009, -9/+23I appreciated the depth at which this article explained how partisanship and fear have become big business. Reagdrless of the talking head, whether it's Beck, Rush, Olberman, etc, there's lots of money to be had just by getting a very small portion of the population riled up. As the article suggests, this may be a great exercise in capitalism but when it supplants traditional news reporting, we all lose.
- inactive, on 09/17/2009, -5/+19Yeah we know. The same Glenn Beck that raped and murdered a girl in 1990.
- inactive, on 09/17/2009, -18/+31yes, his rhetoric is dangerous. also, didn't he rape and murder a young girl in 1990? who knows when it will happen again.
- bullcutter, on 09/17/2009, -10/+22That's funny, I always thought Glenn Beck was what was wrong with America.
Seriously, he makes people stupider for a living, feeding off the idea that its every American's God-given right to be an ignorant, dumb *****.
In terms of who he appeals to culturally, he really does get to the bottom. - boecho, on 09/17/2009, -7/+18nice try ***** nugget.
- ftc08, on 09/17/2009, -31/+42Yes.
Glenn Beck is a dangerous man who should not see the light of day. He's a damn lunatic, and has a deranged and violent following. His very existence on Fox proves that they are a brainwashing propaganda machine. - ftc08, on 09/17/2009, -5/+16You're right. I should get my facts from places other than blogs.
So, I get them from reality. Not like your Fox News Free Republic *****. - QueensGuy, on 09/17/2009, -34/+44Glenn Beck is insane and bad, bad for the society.
- amoirae, on 09/17/2009, -0/+10like in the backseat of a Volkswagen?
- seraph1982, on 09/17/2009, -1/+11Actually, they said a two-party system would be the end of our country. They're pretty much correct. We're too busy calling the OTHER pile of ***** worse than our own to realize we've really only got a couple piles of ***** for policy makers.
- Batfishy, on 09/17/2009, -4/+14"It takes both a left wing and right wing for america not to be flying around in circles" lol at you mikers!
What are we doing right now? And why? - Dustin00, on 09/17/2009, -0/+9If he likes it, that kinda negates it being uncomfortable.
- algaeturd, on 09/17/2009, -7/+15Gleen Beck is an uneducated alcoholic...what better person to lead a bunch of other uneducated, irrational folks from the south?
He tells you what you want to hear because he's the only one on TV dumb enough to do it in the name of fame and profits.
If this country was full of educated people who could rationally discuss and debate topics like health care, there would never, ever be an audience for this idiot. Period. - xutopia, on 09/17/2009, -1/+9He never denied it. All we want to know is if it is true.
- Crimeodial, on 09/17/2009, -2/+10Who said I was democrat?
- finalcloud33, on 09/17/2009, -1/+9Fox is bad for everything...
- gridbread, on 09/17/2009, -2/+9"It takes both a left wing and right wing for america not to be flying around in circles."
No, I'm sick of this fallacy, you're wrong.
The Republican party can fall off the face of the earth, just as other parties have, America will still function, likely better.
If the Republican party does crash and burn (it's current path) it will be replaced by the Democratic party, the Democratic party will become the "conservative" party.
The 3rd party -independent, green, etc... which some consider to be too left leaning/extreme will become more moderate and fill the position that the Democratic party previously held.
Our current democratic party in most other civilized functioning democracies, would be considered very conservative.
It's not simply a two party system, it's whatever the country is actually leaning toward and focusing on, on a spectrum of the most extreme liberal, to the most extreme conservative, we're leaning more toward liberal now, conservative is dangling over the cliff into obscurity. - inactive, on 09/17/2009, -11/+18By raping and murdering young women in 1990?
- Batfishy, on 09/17/2009, -2/+9"he has said over and over that he would love to be proven wrong on the things he reports on"
That's part of his Beck's shtick, and it's not a new tactic. - belthize, on 09/17/2009, -5/+11
Your argument is that 1% of the populous watches Beck and only a fraction of 1% of the populous watches 4 other shows picked at random and therefore Beck is sane and liberals are ignorant.
Wow, good use of logic there sparky.
It is possible to think that Beck, Olbermann, Hannity, Mathews, Oreilly etc etc are all ***** stupid but that Beck is dangerously stupid. - iamandyb, on 09/17/2009, -11/+17he makes people question their government... last time i checked, that is what America was founded on.
- Batfishy, on 09/17/2009, -10/+16That's what his minions are for. Beck was a no-show at his own tea party in DC.
- boecho, on 09/17/2009, -3/+9thanks for making my point for me. "liberals tend". See the segregation? That would be the isolation that I spoke of in my above post. It's not "we Americans" anymore, it's "we true Americans" (theoretically representing those you see as the same as yourself). I hear that the scientologists are looking for new recruits. Why don't you go apply your rhetoric with those guys. I do find it amusing that you call out John Stewart. I used to watch his stand up comedy. Last time I watched his show, he actually gave his opponent a chance to speak, unlike other "heroes" (Limbaugh/O'Reilly, etc)
- Batfishy, on 09/17/2009, -5/+11doug - It was Beck's 9/12 party. He may have disowned it later, I don't know. But it was his party and I fully expected tears.
I was there for a very different reason. The exact opposite, some would say. - gtoph, on 09/17/2009, -5/+11Just proves that stupid is as stupid does.
- mikersx02, on 09/17/2009, -4/+10They really didnt rip him apart- The writer obviously has listened to the show and has a somewhat favorable impression of him. I read the entire 4 pages of the article and was expecting the usual leftist digg type rants- but was pleasantly surprised.
- Hetman, on 09/17/2009, -3/+9Who knows. He is a recovering alcoholic. He himself could have committed such acts in a drunken rage and forgot about the whole incident. Who knows. I do not claim to know the truth, I just think he is acting awfully suspicous lately.
- Kyzzyxx, on 09/17/2009, -0/+6Hey doughnut,
Beck is proven wrong all the time. Let's take one of his most recent, for example. He said there were 2 million people at his 9.12 *****. That's been proven to be only about 70-75,000. That's not just wrong, that is stupid wrong.
ANY of these so-called pundits lie all the time. To state otherwise only shows your gullibility and stupidity. Here's your sign, now go join the other lemmings. - WraTH017, on 09/17/2009, -3/+9I don't remember a liberal ever burning a book, or bashing science to promote religion.
- WraTH017, on 09/17/2009, -0/+5Dougpro:

And here is he lying about what the conversation on the first video was about
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l4kXFvLu-M
Google half the ***** he says, and find out for yourself whether he's telling the truth or not. Half the time... he's not.
You believe he wants a private army? You believe in FEMA concentration camps? You believe he is both socialists and fascist? Come on. - vitaminz1990, on 09/17/2009, -4/+9Some people only see what they want to see.
- akchrs, on 09/17/2009, -10/+15Just keep doing your goofy little boycotts and his ratings will immediately drop...... oh wait. "Glenn Beck - 3,421,000 viewers"
- gwaggy12, on 09/17/2009, -5/+10This was posted on Drudge Report, as "TIMEWARNER [CNN] UNLEASHES ON FOXNEWS BECK..." which i think is pretty funny, since the article is largely complimentary of Beck.
- bullcutter, on 09/17/2009, -1/+6Glenn Beck viciously raped and murdered several young girls in 1990?
- algaeturd, on 09/17/2009, -0/+5They are nothing but a lunatic fringe band playing to the most uneducated audience in America and laughing all the way to the bank.
1. Identify the most uneducated (and therefor susceptible) audience in America.
2. Figure out what they like (other than Wal Mart and fast food...those are already taken...)
3. Give it to them on level 10, telling them exactly what they want to hear so they feel their irrational thoughts and hatred are justified and sane.
4. Give them people to worship and look up to as 'scholars' and 'educated proof' of how they're all right and everyone else is wrong.
5. Laugh all the way to the bank as you sell the ***** out of commercials and air time for ***** like Rascal Scooters. - xs650, on 09/17/2009, -2/+7Doubtful, I heard he prefers young boys.
