- dforty3, on 10/10/2007, -48/+237Listeners that support Limbaugh are traitors to the US Constitution.
- phnx0221, on 10/10/2007, -32/+131Oh Rush! How is that cyst on your rear end treating you?
You know, the one that got you out of Vietnam? - physphd, on 10/10/2007, -21/+92How anyone can take that bloated racist drug addict seriously is beyond me. I'm an old school conservative and can see that he is a sycophantic administration suckling turd trying desperately to stay relevant. He's never kept a position for any length of time.
I'd like to close with a few words from Bill Hicks: "Speaking of Satan, I was watching Rush Limbaugh the other day... Doesn't Rush Limbaugh remind you of one of those guys who likes to lay in a tub while other men pee on him?" - Battleloser, on 10/10/2007, -7/+62He's insulting the soldiers! Quick, pass a non binding congressional resolution condemning him!
- katie212, on 10/10/2007, -25/+76Rush needs to get his fat ass over in Iraq/Afghanistan to fight instead of spewing his GWB senseless rhetoric. I am a conservative and am unable to listen to this peabrained pundit for 15 seconds muchless 15 minutes. Give me chinese water torture anytime over Limbaugh.
- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -27/+74Rush is a ***** hypocrite, liar, and an *****.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -13/+54"Anyone who doesn't like him probably hasn't listened to him for even 15 minutes."
Great. Another baseless assumption from the goofy right wing. - derforseti, on 10/10/2007, -6/+44If they're phoney soldiers, then they should all be sent home.
- DirkBelig, on 10/10/2007, -8/+45I know it's a waste of time to try and speak the inconvenient truths to the rabidly partisan and disinterested in contrary reality Diggers, but perhaps a few still capable of independent thought will take a moment to see how Media Matters is lying to them and how easy the Truth is to find if you're willing to take two minutes to look for it.
Note that the MM piece cobbles together their claims by quoting a few of Limbaugh's words at a time and gluing them together with THEIR interpolating phrases to give the appearance he is smearing the troops. At the bottom of the article, they quote a huge chunk of Limbaugh's broadcast, BUT they don't provide the link (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_092607 ... to the page where people could go and read THE WHOLE THING WHICH HAS SIX MORE PARAGRAPHS of exchanges, including these two:

Here is a Morning Update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. They have their celebrities and one of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. Now, he was a "corporal." I say in quotes. Twenty-three years old. What made Jesse Macbeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn't his Purple Heart; it wasn't his being affiliated with post-traumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. No. What made Jesse Macbeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage, in their view, off the battlefield, without regard to consequences. He told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq, American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account, translated into Arabic and spread widely across the Internet, Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth describes the horrors this way: "We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque."
Now, recently, Jesse Macbeth, poster boy for the anti-war left, had his day in court. And you know what? He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs claim and his Army discharge record. He was in the Army. Jesse Macbeth was in the Army, folks, briefly. Forty-four days before he washed out of boot camp. Jesse Macbeth isn't an Army Ranger, never was. He isn't a corporal, never was. He never won the Purple Heart, and he was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen. You probably haven't even heard about this. And, if you have, you haven't heard much about it. This doesn't fit the narrative and the template in the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party as to who is a genuine war hero. Don't look for any retractions, by the way. Not from the anti-war left, the anti-military Drive-By Media, or the Arabic websites that spread Jesse Macbeth's lies about our troops, because the truth for the left is fiction that serves their purpose. They have to lie about such atrocities because they can't find any that fit the template of the way they see the US military. In other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience they face is the truth.
===================
As you can NOW see, Limbaugh was referring to a genuinely fake soldier and provides the links to the stories backing his point. There have been several of these fake soldiers getting fawning coverage in the Treason Media, only to have to be disowned, but to Media Matters (But Truth Doesn't), Limbaugh is just making stuff up and the rabid unhinged herds of Diggers who vomit canned anti-war, anti-Fox News, anti-Rush, anti-O'Reilly, anti-anything that's not Ron Paul, Can'tMoveOn.Argh talking points or propaganda from the usual handful of George Soros-funded sites don't care because facts don't matter to them, just Digging their ignorant prejudices.
What's most pitiful is that Diggers are constantly posting hyperbolic stories that claim to prove that there is a cover-up of the Truth, but their "proof" of the cover-ups is almost always based on lies and fantasies that are easily debunked by the REAL TRUTH. Ever notice how smart these useful idiots are? I mean, they can't STFU for a moment about how on top of things they are when sensible, sane and actually-interested-in-Truth folks know they're hopelessly ignorant and duped. - BTrey, on 10/10/2007, -9/+43I'm no fan of Limbaughs - I haven't even heard, much less agreed with, one of his broadcasts in years. However, this story is sensationalist and wildly off base. The story says that Limbaugh said that any soldier who supported withdrawal was a phony soldier. That's incorrect. What he said was that most of the people who claim to be soldiers in support of withdrawal actually aren't soldiers. They're phony soldiers in that they aren't really enlisted in the armed services. They come on the radio or write a letter to the editor and claim to be enlisted because they think that will make their opinion more persuasive. Limbaugh's statement may or may not be true (and I suspect that it IS true in some but certainly not all, and probably not a majority, of cases) but it's distinctly different from disparaging the authenticity of soldiers who support withdrawal due to their political views.
- jumbalia, on 10/10/2007, -13/+43perhaps he can go over to Iraq and show everyone how to be a "real" soldier
- franklymister, on 10/10/2007, -13/+42Rush isn't right on everything. And the Sahara desert isn't very wet. And Rosie O'Donnell isn't that skinny.
I'm sure if you're filled with hate for the roughly 50% of Americans that vote Democratic, then yeah, Rush is probably your bag. For the rest of us, who don't hate half of America and would rather have civil discourse than emotional, angry arguments, he's just a douchebag. - cheviot, on 10/10/2007, -9/+30How high was he when he started attacking serving soldiers?
- chase001, on 10/10/2007, -11/+30Rush is a salesman for the neocon agenda.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+25That's the point, isn't it. Here is a guy who calls Americans "traitors" and "terrorists" every freaking day and the right wing Congress doesn't make a peep.
- Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23A genius? Hardly. Popular - certainly. However, popular doesn't equal good - nor does it mean he is right. I have listened to him before, watched him on TV and have both his books. I simply think he has turned, as most talk radio and debate in general has turned, into a loud mouth obnoxious prick that merely incites dislike with absurd claims - then when someone calls him on it he claims "he is demonstrating absurdity, but being absurd".... Yet when someone else does the exact same thing, he goes off on how "Words mean things"...
Essentially - he talks out of both sides of his mouth, and his listeners/viewers just don't have the memory or interest to catch on so they puppet his mantra.
- dyonak, on 10/10/2007, -10/+27I would love for him to say that to my face.
- Blisshead, on 10/10/2007, -9/+26Last I checked you were allowed your own opinion as an American. Rush is a bloated asshat.
- Verchiel77, on 10/10/2007, -12/+29I'm sure Congress will be excoriating him any day now.
yep, any day...
Probably right about the same time the GOP presidential front runners are called upon to repudiate his statements or be presumed to agree with them. - JohnInMT, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18So when it's someone smoking weed, or a poor person doing drugs they should be 'sent up the river' (as Rush said about anyone who uses drugs) yet when it's a rich white neo-con, it becomes a disability. I see.... So that's how it works...
- way2muchsense, on 10/15/2007, -2/+18My DD 214 says otherwise. Anyway, to those of you who are currently wearing the green suit to work, do you realize you are fighting for Rush Limbaugh's right to spew ***** on the public airwaves? Sends a chill down your spine, doesn't it?
- ichbinladen, on 10/15/2007, -8/+23A drug addicted draft dodger accusing others of being phony? Pathetic.
- JigoroKano, on 10/10/2007, -12/+26That proves ***** all about him not being a living pile of *****.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17I care what Rush says about as much as I care what the bearded schizophrenics shouting at traffic say.
- nihilite, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16I didn't know "fat and hateful" was a disability. my bad.
Rush is not a choir boy. in this life you get what you give - and rush talks nothing but hate and intolerance. don't expect us to treat him with respect. he doesn't deserve to be treated with dignity. - GamingTrend, on 10/15/2007, -8/+22As a soldier myself, let me be the first to say...
***** you, you tubby pasty-white sack of blow-hard *****. Get off your ass and pick up a weapon for a while, then we can talk about who is a phony soldier. - uselessexpert, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14As a concern citizen that has a brother on a Special Forces unit with 2 tours to the middle east already, I can tell you this: IT SUCKS BEING OUT THERE! I can't blame a soldier, no matter how patriotic he/she may be if they want to get the hell out and come home. Yes it is their duty to go and fight a war regardless of the reason or why it started. That's what they signed up for, to be soldiers and to take orders!!! And from my brother's description, most of those people out there don't understand our way of life, all they have always known is war, fighting against different religious sects. So we just have to let them be. And if a soldier wants to come home, or feels that their job over there is futile, then fine, it is their opinion, but like Rush and President Bush point out (eventhough I don't agree), it is not that simple to pull out now! All I can do is sit and just hope and pray that that stupid war is done and over soon, and that our "leadership" finds a fast and somewhat easy way of bringing our troops home. Remember, just because you don't support the war, doesn't mean you can't support our troops. So ***** the war! Support our soldiers!
- Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -8/+20 You don't expect real people to fight along side phoney soldiers do you?
- Socolco, on 10/15/2007, -6/+18My obligatory comment regarding this *****:
*****
Signed,
Combat Veteran - Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16I would love for someone to drop his ass off in Baghdad for a month and see what its like broadcasting a show with mortars going off in the background.
- amprather, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16I wonder if Rush thinks those soldiers that wrote that NYT Op-Ed are phoneys. Especially the three that are now dead from serving in Iraq.
- databyss, on 10/10/2007, -6/+18I think he meant that since limbaugh supports the war, limbaugh also supports bush, who fights against the constitution.
So supporters of limbaugh are one link further down the same chain.
Of course that's just my interpretation... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16This is coming from a guy who used an anal disease as an excuse to avoid being sent to Vietnam during the Vietnam War, the same guy who was doctor shopping to get extra prescription for Oxycontin, and the same guy who got caught with a Viagra prescription that wasn't under his name.
Fake soldier. Fake prescription. Fake boner. - JMellissa, on 10/15/2007, -5/+16Hey I know, let's send Rush Limbaugh to the front!
- dupswapdrop, on 10/10/2007, -5/+15Why is drug addicted fat ass still on the air? Call his sponsors and tell them your boycotting them till he's off the air!
- alacrity2005, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Dude, you really, really need to get your news from someone other than Rush. He had his ear surgery AFTER his oxycontin addiction. In fact the hearing loss was CAUSED by the oxy addiction. Look it up. Sudden onset hearing loss is a distinct side affect of protracted overuse of Oxycontin. He is a drug addict and went to rehab. End of story.
- GiggleStick, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Plus this was an intro to just such a story about a man claiming to have witnessed atrocities in Iraq, but who ended up having washed out of Boot Camp and never being oversees at all. He claimed to be CPL in the Rangers. Now he's being charged for falsifying his military records. Of course liberals just latched on to him without checking his story, because it fit their template.
Same thing happened recently with Scott Beauchamp writing for New Republic. Turned out to be made up, and NP tried to ignore it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Thomas_Beaucham ... - postaldave, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9screw you and the truth. this is mob rule digging at it's best. /sarcasm
"Listeners that support Limbaugh are traitors to the US Constitution." see, we don't need facts or reason. just something that sounds good. - sugarhigh4242, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Your sarcasm is misguided. Everything is as it should be.
The hateful communist democrats must constantly prove their non-partisanship, and the pious, godfearing right has license to play their politics as nasty as possible. It is God's will.
Besides, Rush Limbaugh is above reproach, not even the evil Democrats would dare go against him. Next, you'll be telling me that Sean Hannity isn't a brilliant military strategist!
Hannity/Limbaugh 2008! - Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Then Ann ***** must be his show girl.
- vat0r, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11While we're at it let's just drop all the neocons in Baghdad and be done with it.
- elvisjulep, on 10/10/2007, -18/+26Not one person who has commented here actually heard this statement on air or in its entirety. Rush was specifically referencing Jesse MacBeth who claimed to be an Army Ranger and accused the US military of egregious war crimes. In reality, MacBeth spent less than 45 days in the Army, never completing basic training, yet he represented himself as a decorated Iraq veteran, having received a purple heart, and was held up by the alternative media as a incontrovertible evidence that the military was engaging in genocidal behavior. He was eventually exposed and found guilty of forging his military records. He was sentenced to 5 months in jail. Much as I hate to reference Wikipedia, the details are there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Macbeth
By anyone's definition, that is a phony soldier. If you people would actually do your research, rather than just take whatever is spoonfed you by people with obvious agendas (like media matters), then you might be able to comment intelligently. Instead, you just look foolish. Utterly foolish. - guinnessstout, on 10/10/2007, -7/+15Complete ***** bag. Rush, can you remind us all of how much time you spent serving the country? Rush is an asstunnel.
- nihilite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8wow... meta-sarcasm.... you, sir, are working on an entirely different level than the rest of us.
- vat0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Considering most of America is obese and how little our actual opinions matter there is sadly a little truth in that statement.
- gernblansted, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Actually, he should worry about those coming back from Iraq and showing HIM what a REAL soldier is. Seriously, it's not a good idea to tell people who've been killing other people and watching their friends die around them for years on end, and watching their families dissolve without being able to do anything about it, that they are 'phony'. It's proof this guy doesn't think very much.
- dagnabbit, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Who said he doesn't have the right to his opinion? The point is, he's a giant douchebag hypocrite.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13I don't care if he won Best Haitian ManLove of 2000 Award. To assume that people who don't like him haven't "listened to him for even 15 minutes" is baseless. It's a STUPID assumption. How is it you can't see that point?
- Pilot85, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10uh, we heard the transcript. it was on the web site.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Also ...... Here's what actually happened. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_092807 ...
