- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+129Clueless Joe regularly demonstrates he has NO connection with the real world, and zero connection with the American people.
This ignorant little warmonger has been a pathetic enabler of the Bush administration and his lack of critical thinking about the Bush policies and actions has harmed his constituents. This guy ***** sucks.
The worst part? Back in the day (back in CT) I voted for this piece of *****. - understudy, on 10/11/2007, -11/+94You can't spell Lieberman without a 'Lie'
_ - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -15/+96The (I) next to Lieberman's name doesn't stand for Independent. It stands for "I give blow jobs to neocons."
- AndyO3000, on 10/11/2007, -12/+92Lieberman seems very motivated by his hatred for Democrats today. He's all about sticking it to Democrats.
- GlobalistShill, on 10/11/2007, -10/+65Honest historians will sadly deem W to be the puppet clown he is,... the man who sold the dumbed-down American public a ridiculous, savage occupation which has ZERO to do with average American's interests, and which is needlessly killing countless men and women while stirring up international hatred.
- ClosedCaption, on 10/11/2007, -9/+54Lieberman and other reight wing tools now have to rely on nameless, faceless "historians" in the future to justify their support for Bush's failures. "Sure they hate me, but wait until the next generation hears about us...They'll love us!!" Bush said the other day "Everyone wants to be loved". So when they arent being loved (or respected) they create that love in some future historian. If Love-the-warbamen had any self respect he'd STFU and stop doing those cut and paste op-eds every year that says we're JUST STARTING to clear and hold.
Sidenote: Does anyone expect Petraus to come back in September and say anything other than we're making "progress"? - MouseyTung, on 10/11/2007, -5/+41And lying, that to.
- reed311, on 10/11/2007, -2/+31No, it was actually because he lost in the primary and didn't want to lose his seat. He's a scumbag politician.
- blaze4metal, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29Well Republicans got him in office, he's just rewarding them with the crap they want to hear.
- fnaqzna, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Gotta give the man credit for being able to talk while there's a dick in his throat.
- converge, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20Hell, I even pronounce it "Lie-Berman".
- TrueXtremeIcon, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21There is something wrong with being an Israeli when you're supposed to be AMERICAN. Be a jew all you want, but don't ever put the agenda of another country above the agenda of the constituents who elected you. That is what Lieberman has done for years now, serving Israel more than American citizens. There is nothing anti-semitic about that.
- mikelieman, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17Since he lies about being Shabbos Observant, then goes into the Senate and casts ballots on Saturday, what WON'T he lie about?
I'm surprised more people don't call him out on this. - allaboutdatiki, on 10/11/2007, -7/+22Is this delusional or what?
- satx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17"Sidenote: Does anyone expect Petraus to come back in September and say anything other than we're making "progress"?"
Of course we are. Last month, the number of Iraqis who agreed with the statement "I despise the US military with the whole of my being" dropped to an all-time low of 99.3% - nakani, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13Annnnnnd I will no longer take anything this man says seriously
- Bercebu48, on 10/11/2007, -9/+19Worst president in U.S. History.
- bagold51, on 10/11/2007, -9/+19Who the hell is he kidding and did he smoke crack before making this assertion? Besides, Lieberman is what as known as a pawn for the GOP and is commonly referred to as an "ASS CLOWN."
- SheilaNoya, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1081% of historians already rated Bush a FAILURE over 19 months ago. Bush has only gotten much worse since then.
http://hnn.us/articles/5019.html - nakani, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Don't forget the unconstitutional 'war on drugs'. Ever hear of 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness'? Not to mention this war on drugs has created a HUGE underground market. Which leads to other problems like gangs...
- zenzizi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Bingo.
- dirtyfratboy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Wait, so he's saying that the majority of America is ignoring Bush's greatness? That's just a slap to the face.
- jedikd, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10I'm definitely no bush fan, but the OP has misquoted the article: "ratings among the historians will be greater than his ratings in the polls today." is what was actually said vs the title of the article : "‘Ratings Among Historians Will Be Great". It's a subtle difference but makes a huge difference in the meaning of the quote. Greater than his current ratings => still not that great
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+13It is hard to believe that anyone still thinks George Bush is competent. I question whether Senator Lieberman is capable of making serious decisions based on these comments of his. Are there procedures for psychological evaluations for elected officials?
- conmulligan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Agreed. Jesus, just join the GOP already, what's he waiting for?
- dcmjzero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8lieberman will be right because bush has changed the course of our country to an autocracy that will re-write history to make it say he was the "glorious leader." all who disagree will be sent to haliburton constructed re-education camps.
- whataboutdave, on 10/11/2007, -6/+12Oh Joe. I remember when you were just an unassuming Connecticut Yankee looking out for your state and Republic.
- SammyJr, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8No one liked Lieberman in 2000 and just about everyone I knew thought that he was a joke. Lieberman probably hurt Gore's chances have a decisive win and avoid the Supreme Court appointee we have today.
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10WITH him liberals don't have the majority in congress.
He votes with Bush; it seems pretty obvious he really, truly, deeply has a man-crush on Bush. - insomniac8400, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8So is Lieberman not running for reelection? Sure he won the general election as an independent and has a good amount of years to go, but siding with Bush on anything is an action that is going to stick with him.
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/11/2007, -14/+20No, it stands for "Israeli."
- tac0flicker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6This guy is a Republican enabler and a mouthpiece for the Israeli lobby.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10You know, I hope to God he's right. If we can look back, and it turns out that Bush did the right thing, well I'd be just peachy, 'cause Lord knows things seem like a great big pile of ***** from here. Seriously, if history vindicates him, and it turns out that those thousands of U.S. soldiers and God knows how many Iraqis didn't die for nothing, I would be so relieved. As it stands, though, I seriously doubt that's going to happen, and we're just gonna have to live with the ***** Bush created.
- johnn11238, on 10/11/2007, -6/+11Buried for innacurate title. He did not say it would be "great", he said it would be "greater than they are today". And he's right. America always forgives former presidents just a little bit. (Nixon, et al)
I mean, don't you think ol Dubya's ratings might creep into the lower 30's someday after some people forget how evil and ***** he is in the present? - yableo, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8i think theres a huge difference between 'great' and 'greater'
- Nephilym, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Well said. Israel may be the most viscious, rascist, genocidal regime on the planet, but criticizing them is no more anti-Jewish than criticizing the US foreign policy is anti-Christian. I'm sure that g30ff showing his ignorance and full indocrination will make certain people very happy though.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I'm trying to think of ANY leader who was favorably remembered for leading his/her country into an unpopular war. Help?
- emiles, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I like how Bush and Cheney were the conservative nominees, and now they really are actually evil bastards.
- ccrook, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Lay off the drugs. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness..." is in the Declaration, not the Constitution.
- qubesquare, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9When did "stick to it" not mean stubbornness? And since when is a president seen as noble for defying his people that he represents? What kind of ass backwards world do we live in? One douche has brought this democracy to its knees. Impeach already.
- txdigg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4He's an Israeli agent more than a US senator.
- fnaqzna, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8...but if Lieberman is smoking pot, that would make him a terrorist.
I'm confused. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10I don't understand what's keeping Lieberman from coming out of the "political closet". His views are more closely related to the Republican Party than they are with the Democratic Party, so why doesn't he just admit that he's a closet Republican?
- macslut, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I'll take the last question, "Appart from the fact you vote (vote is only used as a suggestion to the electoral college), how does your form of government differ from a fascist government?"
First, it's not a suggestion. Each state is allowed to make rules governing what the electoral college reps from the state can do. Some states do require the electoral college rep to abide by what they committed to when voted for...meaning it's not a suggestion, it's a requirement. Even in those states where it's not required, VERY few times in history has this happened. And at any point, the states could pass a bill requiring this like the other states.
Read up on why we have the electoral college and you'll realize that the reasons are more true than ever today and it helps prevent the very things you seem to fear.
Just curious, but how do you explain Clinton defeating Bush and then Dole? How do you explain Democrats taking back control of Congress? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8Yeah, and I've got a magic rock that keeps tigers away.
As for the Dems, I've always thought that lack of unity was their biggest problem, not intolerance. Not that I'm saying that I think unity is a good thing, mob mentality can be very dangerous, but it is good for elections.
What do I know, though? I seem to have fallen out of the entire political loop, because it doesn't seem there are any politicians out there who represent my views. Not that I'm going to do something like give up voting, mind you, it's just I always feel like I'm choosing between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. - defektiv, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7looks like someone is looking for some loyalist love.. wave goodbye to your career lieberman!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10buried as inaccurate?
- Chunken, on 10/11/2007, -7/+11I think over time more lies will be explosed and he will go down as the worst US president ever. I think they will also look down on congress and the American people of our time and say "Why didn't anybody do anything to stop him?"
Hopefully this will be a valueable lesson learned for future Americans. - krnldmp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Clearly exemplifies part of the problem with dual citizenship.
- TherealObadiah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Sorry, Clinton takes second place.
