Bill Kristol talking with Terry Gross (Fresh Air/April 1, 2003):
"And on this issue of the Shia in Iraq, I think there's been a certain amount of, frankly, Terry, a kind of pop sociology in America that, you know, somehow the Shia can't get along with the Sunni and the Shia in Iraq just want to establish some kind of Islamic fundamentalist regime. There's almost no evidence of that at all. Iraq's always been very secular."

What a joke he's become. - UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Marge, may I play Devil's Advocate?
I think Kristol has a point and it's this: if the Democrats (in congress) aren't going to do anything about Bush's 21k escalation then really what is the purpose of talking about it? Either take action or don't.
I still don't agree with him but I can understand where he's coming from. I'd like to see more action and fewer words from the Democrats.
