- Nosferotu, on 11/20/2008, -11/+232This just in: Sarah Palin is an idiot.
We don't have to care anymore - can we please just let her fade into history as a black splotch? - see3D, on 11/20/2008, -8/+193Palin: "Whats a Rovey Wade?"
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -10/+122Please, maker her go away.
I don't want to hear Sarah Palin's name for the next few years. - amerikindream, on 11/20/2008, -2/+111what was hysterical is that Tina Fey mainly used direct quotes from the Katie Couric interview.
"It's gotta be all about job creation, y'know." - SkullPizza, on 11/20/2008, -4/+102Wow, yeah... uhh, god damn. That's really gross.
- cyrusuncc, on 11/20/2008, -4/+73"As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border."
- alperea, on 11/20/2008, -5/+69Hahaha you people make me laugh. Conservatives were bashing Obama left and right for not having enough experience. Now lack of experience is a good thing, but only for your candidate? This is why these types of arguments are a joke and no one is listening to you anymore.
- kd420, on 11/20/2008, -17/+80I can't believe it! Maybe they edited the footage down, but Sarah seemed smart, knowledgeable about world issues, and genuinely capable of leading the country.
/s - iamtenninjas, on 11/20/2008, -7/+69Why are people still talking about her? She was a joke. The punchline was them losing the election. Let it go. Move on.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -1/+58Palin was mayor of a city of 5,500. That's pretty small peanuts. She was governor for a state with a population less than half the size of the city of Detroit for less than 18 months, and in that short time has managed to have multiple ongoing ethics investigations against her. There is no comparison.
- Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -2/+55She'll be around a while longer like Dan Quayle was. When you get a person as clueless as Palin that close to the White House it's going to take a while for America to get the "WTF almost happened" out of their system. In about 10 years she'll start to fade away into obscurity. Until then her name will be synonymous with stupid.
- maj0rm0j0, on 11/20/2008, -1/+48It's still amazing the number of diggers that don't know what "/s" means.
- lukemit, on 11/20/2008, -0/+35Don't worry if you get them confused. They're pretty much the same.
- these3remain, on 11/20/2008, -9/+40This is refreshing, an honest post.
- FENWAYFREAK, on 11/20/2008, -5/+36Just let her go back into the obscurity she came from, please.
- oldhick, on 11/20/2008, -0/+30This guy is NOT a Conservative. At best he's simply a member of the GOP. Real conservatives saw Palin for what she was, a stooge of another neocon candidate.
True conservatives believe in fiscal responsibility, smaller government and limited government, and personal liberty. Palin has exhibited none of these traits as governor nor a VP candidate.
Conservatives get a bad name when people like MadOgre try to claim to be one and then praise Palin.
Maybe you're a neocon or a social conservative, but you are not a conservative if you support Palin. - ligyron, on 11/20/2008, -1/+32That's one ***** up first comment
- THETEH, on 11/20/2008, -9/+38I still can't believe she came so close to being in the white house. I guess I can sort of see why McCain picked her--he wanted to shake things up with an unconventional choice. Unfortunately for McCain (and fortunately for Obama supporters such as myself), "unconventional" meant "freakin' stupid" in this case.
- doobiebrother, on 11/20/2008, -1/+28Seriously, why are we still talking about her.
- AZSanMan, on 11/20/2008, -6/+33Buried for not giving a ***** about Palin anymore.
- IphtashuFitz, on 11/20/2008, -3/+29I don't even want to hear it a few years from now.
- sockpuppets, on 11/20/2008, -1/+25Dad?
- UNL1M1T3D, on 11/20/2008, -0/+20/s is for sarcasm, it's good enough for me.
- JenniferInMO, on 11/20/2008, -3/+22There are not a large number of intercepts and Palin has absolutely no authority over them. In fact, unless it was really serious she probably wouldn't even know what was going on.
- gnomead, on 11/20/2008, -1/+20Few Americans would call Couric 'useless' after the incredible service she did by exposing Palin's colossal incompetence to the public.
- Jwoey, on 11/20/2008, -0/+19that /s at the end...
notice it. - Cadicus, on 11/20/2008, -3/+21Meaning what? You see Katie being as ignorant and oblivious as Sarah?
- beesaretasty, on 11/20/2008, -1/+19Exactly. Imagine being bested by her. How embarrassing.
- StupotAce, on 11/20/2008, -1/+18Dugg. Not for Sarah Palin, for David Letterman.
- clankster, on 11/20/2008, -4/+20Which makes Palin's performance all the more depressing. When a VP candidate can be intellectually outflanked by Katie Couric, it's time to pack it in.
- KeithLM, on 11/20/2008, -1/+17No, it's not true. They don't come into American air space. That is where she is dead wrong. If they did, they'd probably be escorted to an airbase in the US where the military would proceed to "inspect" the plane before they left. Either that or they'd shoot them down.
What is true is that they approach our air space and we send fighters from Alaska to escort them. However the state of Alaska has nothing to do with it. That's a national defense issue. Even if the Alaska Air Guard is involved, it's by orders from the Pentagon, not from the governor. - wolfing, on 11/20/2008, -0/+14And that seems to be the problem with republicans in the last years. I remember arguing with someone in 2003 about how could he even think on re-electing Bush, he said "oh, he's not afraid of making strong decisions", yeah, except that all the 'strong decisions' he'd made had been the *wrong* decisions. A bad decision, no matter how strong it is, is still a bad decision (or even worse)
- sponeil, on 11/21/2008, -0/+14I like the post-Katrina Bush joke better. When asked about Roe vs. Wade, he said "I don't care how they get out of New Orleans."
- oldhick, on 11/20/2008, -0/+14And Palin was blown away by her... Doesn't say much for Palin does it?
- Zenham, on 11/20/2008, -0/+13Not really, so many of them don't know what "qualified" means either... they kept pushing McCain/Palin.
- Gndoab, on 11/20/2008, -4/+17it's true, but also largely irrelevant.
- xutopia, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12You say left-wing as if everyone left of right wing extremists in the US is wrong. I don't mind being left of Bush and his cronies.
- andykt, on 11/20/2008, -5/+18Why are we STILL talking about Sarah Palin?
- JenniferInMO, on 11/20/2008, -0/+13@MadOgre: I can understand that, but for me I want my President and VP smart as hell and their heads slammed full of facts, concepts and understanding of history (so that we don't repeat it) and our Constitution (so that it is preserved). I also think it is important to have leaders who are capable of complex thinking and problem solving. I also prefer a leader who unites rather than divides.
I don't think Sarah Palin is dumb, but she is terribly uninformed and doesn't seem to have the desire to learn. I don't want a leader who has to "study up" on the biggest issues facing our country. - ElGubrush, on 11/20/2008, -2/+14Katie Couric is very diplomatic in this interview... and I get the feeling she's a little uncomfortable, especially ones David starts talking about being aroused by Sarah Palin...
- junkwheel, on 11/20/2008, -3/+15Palin 2096
- leerayIG88, on 11/20/2008, -0/+11Palin 4096
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -5/+17Most right wing GOP, anti-American secessionist have a hard time with basic life questions.
- Zenham, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12@lukemit:
Well, one of them was *intentionally* funny. - Icetype, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12She'll be almost as old as McCain by 2096.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 11/20/2008, -0/+11And you've been flagged as that kind of digger.
- mablung, on 11/20/2008, -0/+11just in case you still don't get it... /s = /sarcasm
- oldhick, on 11/20/2008, -0/+10you left off the "/s", let me fix that for you:
