- MegaJimmy8, on 09/30/2008, -6/+804Wow, if the clips I saw were pre-screened for incompetence, I can't wait to see what they cut out...
- sockpuppets, on 10/01/2008, -4/+387I hope Thursday she answers a question with "I like turtles."
- Brabus, on 10/01/2008, -1/+384While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose
hand was caught in a gate while trying to rescue his cattle after Ike
hit his ranch, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a
heartbeat away from being President .
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Sarah Palin is a post turtle.'
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post
turtle was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you
come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post
turtle.' The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he
continued to explain. 'You know she didn't get up there by herself,
she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up
there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to
begin with.' - miamidolfan13, on 09/30/2008, -5/+244The only supreme court case she could name was roe v wade. That was one question and answers that CBS deleted.
- sunsetprojects, on 09/30/2008, -11/+238Shes a moron.
- JaDeGirL01, on 09/30/2008, -7/+178Gosh, Katie will do anything for an interview, huh?
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -4/+154This is the same network that edited an interview with John McCain replacing an incorrect answer with the answer to an entirely different question. If there's any doubt that CBS is in the tank for McCain, let it end now.
- sullivanst, on 09/30/2008, -7/+146It's not like McCain's about to run away and appear on NBC.
Fox is a joke, McCain knows he can't win by appearing there.
He needs CBS far more than they need him. Make him beg, Katie, not the other way round. - apastafarian, on 09/30/2008, -10/+127If Dan Rather was thrown under the bus for his (non) transgressions, who's getting fired over this?
Oh, and to all you right wing nut jobs bitching about the leftist media while accusing Obama of being the communist gun hating gangster Muslim terrorist Antichrist, who should be complaining about the "MSM" now? - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+108"My cat's breath smells like cat food"
- nick1971, on 10/01/2008, -2/+91The problem is if you remove all incohrent, anserine and vacuous answers from the whole tape then you end up with no interview.
If you watch carefully the material released so far you can see Katie Couric gradualy give up hope.
I really like CNN's Jack Cafferty review of the CBS Interview with Palin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ9bP_AqHPg I really like the way he almost looses it at the end. - toonworld, on 10/01/2008, -11/+90............................................________

You're telling me you need to be prepped to answer a question like that? - Napiertt, on 10/01/2008, -0/+60Hilarious!
- THETEH, on 10/01/2008, -7/+63Damn. Someone send me a shout when the censored parts get leaked.
Incidentally, "katie couric and cbs" did not censor the clips. CBS did. Couric just did the interview. - Adrian540, on 10/01/2008, -5/+55Does it honestly matter? She'll be finished this time Thursday.
- KSUdesigner, on 10/01/2008, -0/+49Any candidate for Vice President of the United States shouldn't need to be prepped, especially on questions like, "What publications do you read?" Nobody should need to be prepped to give names of publications that they read.
- redcolumbine, on 10/01/2008, -5/+54I wonder what else Palin would do for a good edit job.
- algaeturd, on 10/01/2008, -4/+51Oh, these will leak. There's no doubt about that. There's too much at stake for these to not surface.
- bear90039, on 10/01/2008, -3/+46I doubt she remembers any speeches Biden gave in 1972. It would be good to quiz her on them. Most 2nd graders don't watch them. Especially ignorant ones.
- Surferess, on 09/30/2008, -0/+43Me too! You would think McCain's camp would have prepped her better. It is simply a matter of time before we see these I am sure.
- Gizmort, on 10/01/2008, -4/+45Palin can't name a newspaper's she reads.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRkWebP2Q0Y
Yikes. - mbonzo531, on 10/01/2008, -4/+45Oh my god that video of her explaining why she thought Biden being old was funny made me throw up. She can't handle this and its obvious that she buckles under the pressure of every interview. You can just see the gears turning as she rambles and tries to remember wtf the question is and how to end her comment.
- chrissku, on 10/01/2008, -2/+39Isn't it unfair to the public if CBS "holds back" any part of the whole interview? We're voting for the President and Vice President of the United States. I'd say everything she said is relevant.
- Peko, on 10/01/2008, -1/+38Moderator: Sarah, education is critical to our country. Recent studies have indicated that the educational level of children in the United States is dropping relative to other industrialized nations. Can you describe how you plan to improve the education of our children?
Palin: I read news from a lot of sources. Wide ranging sources which provided experience in leadership being a governor of Alaska. That's the beauty of American elections, of course, and democracy, is with new leadership comes opportunity to do things better. But it is that we have to be all about job creation too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the war on terror. And I believe that America has to be accepted and then it leads us to a Cold War, but economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, again, counting on our allies to keep an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state.
I like turtles. - breckinshire, on 10/01/2008, -4/+39I tried to shes a moron once, and let me tell you, they just don't shes easily.
- Makoonse, on 10/01/2008, -3/+37Come ON, people... it is NOT okay for the media to continue to censor what we get 'fed'. We are just pawns in this huge game - we get whatever they choose to show us. This just proves again that we are led around by our noses. It's not reporting the news, it's setting a stage for a specific play.
- gmacnay, on 10/01/2008, -3/+36You're watching C B S, the next generation of FOX News.
- dmadip, on 10/01/2008, -0/+33anything?
- gregdogum, on 10/01/2008, -2/+35This woman is a disaster. IF there ever was a definition of a 'post turtle' she is it.
-- eh, looks like Brabus beat me to it. Point still stands.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Pos ... - protogenxl, on 10/01/2008, -3/+34I was wondering when this anecdote would show up on digg
- miamidolfan13, on 09/30/2008, -0/+31I saw that they did release one of them. I want to see the Supreme Court one.
- DryCat, on 10/01/2008, -2/+32Couric suddenly looks like a genius when you put her next to Sarah Palin.
- WiretapStudios, on 10/01/2008, -1/+30"You choo choo choose me"
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+28http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/censor
Censor (n): an official who examines books, plays, NEWS REPORTS, motion pictures, radio and television programs, letters, cablegrams, etc., for the purpose of SUPPRESSING PARTS deemed objectionable on moral, POLITICAL, military, or other grounds.
"No officer, I haven't been drinking - my buddies and I were just doing shots; that's TOTALLY not the same thing." - Shady77, on 10/01/2008, -2/+30Ok, second time I've seen this anecdote in the comments of a Palin article. Fair warning - I'll only digg it 6 or 7 more times, tops.
Now I gotta go fill my quota of digging motivational posters, and comments about go-carts and two best friends dying. - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -1/+29Palin clearly does not have a PhD in anything.
- beyeg, on 10/01/2008, -2/+30Someone at CBS has to leak that stuff....it's only a matter of time.
- bblande, on 10/01/2008, -2/+29Typical liberal media......oops.
- NJank, on 10/01/2008, -0/+26hey, Math is HARD!
- protogenxl, on 10/01/2008, -4/+29Barbie has already served her 2 terms as President. Also Barbie has an IQ of over 250. Her pattern in life is She gets a job, works until the job is boring, then goes back to college gets a new degree and starts another job.
Job's Barbie has had.

They’re falling over themselves to showcase the maverick’s latest stunts in the positive light. Spinning 24/7. Shame on them.
- rednip, on 10/01/2008, -1/+25The reason why the 'blame the media' has worked so well for the Republican party in the past, oddly isn't so much to fire up the base, but to cow the MSM into submission. By getting a number of angry right wingers to complain about the media being unfair, they are allowed to move the middle. Acting like they don't get a fair shake in the media allows them to any extreme position and have it presented as a logical rational option. You see, many people when presented with two opposing views will tend to believe that the truth is in the middle, and if one is allowed to take an extreme position, it effectively moves the middle. For a while it meant that 'conservative voices' (I use that term loosely) where given time to respond to many stories. More complains of media bias, have grown into being expected to have two guest for each 'spinable' story, one 'liberal', and one 'conservative', and no matter how silly a position would seem to a rational intelligent person, they each take their side. However this has opened up a whole new way to view the news.
Let's call it the 'Daily show factor', which has opened up mockery of such activities. It has along with cable shows, and web sites of various flavors, have mitigated the Republican's ability to control the news cycle using ridiculous statements (like 'The Speaker's speech caused me to change my view on the Bailout bill') - Wryly, on 10/01/2008, -3/+26She couldn't name a newspaper she reads. Is CBS gonna play the tape backwards to see if it makes sense?
- cgruber, on 10/01/2008, -1/+23Masturbate fiercely while leveling a 49 Shaman?
- KicktheDonkey, on 10/01/2008, -0/+22Me fail english? That unpossible!
- bitORlogic, on 10/01/2008, -0/+22They want a close race, in order to improve ratings. Since Obama has such a strong lead, they're currently trying to boost McCain. If McCain were in the lead, they'd try to boost Obama. The last thing the media wants is for the populace at large to accept that one candidate is almost certainly going to win. If that happens, they watch less election coverage because, well, what's the point if so-and-so is going to win anyway?
- grinsy, on 10/01/2008, -9/+30So now Katie's in bed with McStain too? A VPILF and a RILF, this guy must be getting his meds from Bob Dole.
- collution, on 10/01/2008, -3/+24It's horrible when you still crash and burn even after you've had your clips edited. That's sad. I feel sorry for her, she alone is single-handidly dragging the Republicans through the floor. I'm ideally Republican but I can't seem to vote for McCain or Palin this year, not on ideals.... but because they come off like idiots and liars. I can't even look into their stances when they can't even communicate well. This is devastating and embarrassing.
She should resign her place... Immediately. (Not saying i'd still vote for McCain, Digg is like a Democrat sea, hear me out lol.) -
