That's kind of the whole point of sections. Those that _want_ to see videos, go browse the videos section.
Why have sections at all if people just post stories in the most viewed ones, regardless of the content?
Nonetheless, I am still waiting for the day all the lame HDR images and Flickr sets get dumped in their own abandoned section... - d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20"Why have sections at all if people just post stories in the most viewed ones, regardless of the content?"
It is not without regard to content. The content, political opinion, is accurate. It is a question of medium not content. Where is the 'political opinion' category in the Video section. That's right. There is none. - tendonut, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20So where do I go when I want to see political opinions, even if it is in video form? I don't really want to browse 2 sections to find similar posts.
There ARE such things as posts that fall under multiple categories.
What if it was an article about Hillary Clinton bitching about video games? Wouldn't that be both political opinion AND video games? - spyrochaete, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18The message is more important than the medium. Otherwise there would be a Web Site section.
- Slybri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6John Hodgman is hilarious. The audio version of his "Areas of my Expertise" was the funniest thing I've listened to in years.
- NJank, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6gmail figured out the whole Label thing a while ago, and the ability to apply multiple labels. hmmmmm.... if only we could come up with a similar idea...
- CoheedRock, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@ troelsbay: This clip is from March 29th. Give or take a day.
The Daily Show honestly has the best writers who just don't ***** the public on policies. - appetite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5wow you're ***** nuts.
- Speck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Where html tags aren't allowed, underscores are the text equivalent of _italics_. Does it "make you cool" to bitch about something you obviously know nothing about?
- troelsbay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2confirmed, 28th march episode.
- zenmouse, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I don't know about you guys, but I was LOL'ing.
- troelsbay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Anybody who know what date of the daily show this was taken from?

- TonyLocNE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it aired sometime this week.. i think probably Wednesday or so...
- benggg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, I think he should have his own spin off show, like the colbert report.
- judsond, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@njank
Yes please! I never go to the video section, but I like occasional videos about cool things, I just don't like *any* video. Tags would be great. It would also solve the "picture" issue. - BigFoot48, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Look for that to stop in two years when Hillary/Obama are in the WH.
- discochew, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Welcome to the news page, video. You look lost.
- deflective, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1any chance of allowing articles to be flagged for multiple sections (eg, video and news) and allowing people to set personal filters (eg, no video in news)?
- cerealrat, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Quicktime video via Coral cache:
http://movies.crooksandliars.com.nyud.net:8080/TDS-Executive-Privilege.mov - judsond, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2And that's why we should have tags rather than hierarchical organization :)
- discochew, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Yeah, him and his opinion are ***** nuts. ***** him.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0i say colbert nation helps crash this server.
- ACrazyGerman, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4@tendonut
Well if a news story that comes with a video no one gives too *****. But if its just a damned video by its self then it goes to video section. - Wailord, on 10/12/2007, -16/+7Buried under "Wrong Topic"...
- FizixMan, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Racist murdering terrorists wear red ties. WATCH OUT!
At least, that's what Bush would want us to believe. - Mandeep, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5Does it make you cool if you use underscores like _this_? _Do_ _you_ _see_ how annoying it _is_??!??
- oskite, on 10/12/2007, -33/+23If this had been in the video section, I wouldn't have seen it. Why? Because no one looks at the video section. It's understood that it's a failure and changes are coming ( http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/263/picture1xy0.png ). Therefore I'm actually glad it was submitted to the news section. Seriously, dude. Shut up. No one likes people like you. You're gonna get dugg down to hell if this makes the front page.
- h0stile17, on 10/12/2007, -11/+0I can almost remember when the Daily Show was extremely funny. Now its damn near depressing to watch. Bring back Craig Kilborn and Beth Littleford and run John Stewart and Lizz Winstead up a flag pole.
- buckwheat12n, on 10/12/2007, -16/+1I'm personally getting tired of Jon Stewart spouting off on political issues. It's becoming annoying. Is this the only material he can try to be entertaining with? I don't know who is becoming more annoying Jon Stewart or Rosie O'donnell. Maybe its the way he tries to come across with his material, you know like he is just so much more intelligent than everyone else. No diggity.
- dracheflieger, on 10/12/2007, -20/+1John Stewart...isn't he a comedian? and not a very good one at that ;-)
- ACrazyGerman, on 10/12/2007, -26/+4And the winner of the dumbest comment ever made on digg goes to... *Drum roll* ...oskite! Congrats your shear stupidity and lack of thought earns you a ***** ass award!
- MahWah, on 10/12/2007, -27/+1I thought this was the Colbert story?
- JonDee, on 10/12/2007, -50/+20Q: How long has there been a video section on digg?
A: Long enough for you to realize that, that is where this goes.

What is Digg?
