- LexX69, on 08/11/2008, -3/+33The comments made by Barr in this piece could easily be mapped to a majority of the people inside our government. We could easily swap John's name with the first name of many of our elected officials.
Wake up!!! We don't need 'CHANGE' what we need is 'LIBERTY' !!! - whytheam, on 08/11/2008, -2/+27He needs to do one of these for Obama.
We need to stop saying, "Yes we can" and start saying, "Yes we will". The only way to do that is through Bob Barr. - andrewschweiger, on 08/11/2008, -2/+17Break the lock of the corrupt Dems and Republicans...it's time for real change.

http://campaignforliberty.com - jdwebster52, on 08/11/2008, -1/+14John McCain isn't a Maverick - he's more of a steer. You cannot be a Yes Man for 20 years and suddenly be a Leader. All J Mc has ever done is oppose the stupidity that would affect his electability; even Tip O'Neill and Sam Rayburn did the same.
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+14Bob is our only chance to elect a third party candidate. He has principles. He has made mistakes, yes. But, how many of us might have been drawn into even more Constitution-killing issues had we been in office? How many of us would have the integrity to admit we were wrong on an issue? How many of us would allow ourselves to be maligned by so many, for the sake of our country? It's easy enough to cast stones while remaining hidden behind a DIGG identity. What if we had to put our family out there, to be excoriated by the MSM, and the two parties whom we are all railing against?
I only ask you to stop and think a minute or two. Consider what this man is trying to do. Could you do it? Would you do it? Have you run for city council? Mayor? City or county commissioner? State legislative office? SOMEBODY has to do it if we are to regain our Constitutional Republic! Jesus isn't here...yet! WHEN He comes, we will have the PERFECT candidate!
Until then...WE have to fight for our freedom! - TheRhinoceros, on 08/11/2008, -3/+15Ok, America, repeat after me.
"MAVERICK, MY ASS!!!"
My Name is Vox Populi and I approve this message!
http://election-coverage.com - michecox, on 08/11/2008, -1/+12This is so true- and my husband and I are seeing more members of the military that are tired of the 2 parties infighting while the real issues lie untouched.
- ThaTaj, on 08/11/2008, -1/+10McCain may have a hero status as a veteran and that is comendable but that doesn't mean he as a person speaks the whole truth and that he would be the right man for the preservation of our country's sovereignty. Sorry but McCain is just as bad for America as is Obama of the communist party. I steer you to http://vote-itz-ur-right.com and http://an-american-for-sovereignty.com to get more information that may help to understand the need to defeat the two leading candidates for our country's future is clearly at stake and WE need to move to action in the area of voting in those good for the country and voting out those who have been and are detremental to the country and it's future.
- psychspy, on 08/11/2008, -1/+10The best thing we can do is support Bob by being active in the media somehow, whether it's through Digg or whatever media source-- he needs to be part of the debates. Awareness helps. Make sure to talk about Bob Barr and the fact that a two-party system is not a real choice whenever talking to people, it's the best grassroots way I can think of supporting him and to convince people that the focus on the two-party system is what removes our choices. Our Constitution is being desecrated, and yes, it must be repeated because it seems like the media is telling us it's not. We need to be heard.
- harrisbradley, on 08/11/2008, -4/+10I know a maverick named Ron
- obubison2010, on 08/11/2008, -0/+5personalj,
McCain is in step with Barr? I don't think so. McCain wants to invade Iran. I quote "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" - Senator John McCain. And McCain wants to continue spying on American citizens, unconstitutionally, as evidenced by his recent vote on FISA provisions. Neither McCain nor Obama share the values of liberty, neither of them want to return to the Constitution. And I don't think we're attacking McCain or Obama themselves, we're attacking their positions. Attacking a position that you know or believe is wrong isn't a bad thing. - jfkdem, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5John Mccain is a hero for the time he spent as a prisoner of war.
However, we should not confuse his service with his ability to lead our nation in the complex times.
He has not kept pace with the myriad of issues facing this nation at home and abroad.
His campaign to date has been a series of campaign ads and speeches that have little to do with the problems facing the American people.
Americans do want change - but not the change the Democrats are offering either.
We have 3 months to get behind Bob Barr to break the stranglehold of the two Party system.
Let's get behind Bob for smaller government, an end to the IRS as we know it, adherence to the Consitution, respect for the Bill of Rights and an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that are bankrupting our nation.

Visit Bob's website/learn more about his positions/chat with other supporters and make a donation to assure Bob ballot access in every state come Nov.
The action you take today may be the best thing you ever do for your country and your future. - KyleVarner, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5I tell my McCain supporting friends that McCain is going to hurt them with his policies...maybe this video will help convince them of this.
- exclamationaire, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Barr is a sensible libertarian. We can do this.
- arlie2, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Wake up America !
Vote for what our forefathers would, not for the two opiate candidates!!!
Obama- hope we will have some change left if this joker bluffs his way in....
McCain-War hero thats a big zero......
Bob Barr seems to have seen the light, and is the only choice to get us back on the path to what America was meant to be. - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -1/+5Wait a minute, where is that sportsfan dude? This doesn't feel like a Barr thread without him trolling around in it.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3I want Bob Barr to win win but if he does I'll give you all the money i make for the rest of my life, because it's not gonna happen. Yes the government is corrupt, and the elections are all wrong. Thing is American's are ***** stupid. Probably about 60% of voters (that's 25% of Americans) can't even name one of the main points of their candidates platform.
- btschul, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3one timer isn't here, either.
- btschul, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3That is what we are trying to change. That is what the "paulites" are trying to change. But when we spread the word, everyone buries it as spam.
- smokedgoldeye, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4I stopped giving money to the RNC about 2 years ago. Now EVERY DAY I get "Emergency" mailings from John McCain or Cindy. I ignore them all. He's no conservative: against the tax cuts, against controlling illegal immigration, against freedom of speech, against private property and capitalism (ie. pro global warming zealot). I left the Republican party today and registered Libertarian. If enough of us do that and vote Barr in November, the two-party system will start to crumble. Let's do it. Go Bob!
- whytheam, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Ok?
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1What percent of American voters do you think visit digg?
- GoneBerserk, on 08/12/2008, -2/+3I'm insulted that McCain thinks he can fool all Americans into thinking of him as a man with any bit of integrity. Youre not foolin' anyone.
- rocket1g, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Thank goodness there is a candidate in the race that actually wants to reduce the size and scope of government on both the social and economic issues of the day.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2I'm here..do I count?

http://www.myspace.com/bobbarrforpresident - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -3/+4True conservatives believe in smaller government and fiscal conservatism, yet the Republican party hasn't been that way for years. Hence Barr going after VOTES he can win instead of Obama's base, which is the "tax us to death for government" populace.
- a23y1, on 08/12/2008, -1/+1Where's Goose?
- personalj, on 08/11/2008, -3/+1Why am I being dugg down? The vast majority of Barr's issues are what the GOP stands for, fiscal conservatism, 2nd amendment rights, etc.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -5/+1Bob Barr won't win, it doesn't matter if the government is corrupt and *****. NOT HEPPENING
- personalj, on 08/11/2008, -13/+1Barr, you need to stop bashing McCain and start bashing Obama, I'm getting tired of seeing McCain hit jobs coming out of the Barr camp, McCain is much more in step with Barr's Ideology than Obama.

What is Digg?
