- satanatnmtedu, on 10/10/2007, -7/+290John Gibson is a tool.
- madcow11, on 10/10/2007, -8/+180As I posted earlier:
I do not believe in suppressing Free Speech, but I do believe in suppressing stupidity. We need another 9/11??!?! To unite America?!?!
How about we unite America through peace, intellect, compassion, education and tolerance? I know it's a stretch for people who love to hate, but give it a good think over.
I know that's a stretch for Gibson and this asshat producer, but wow, a blanket statement like we need another 9/11 is so dumb, so far beyond reproach kind of dumb, it just utterly lacks any kind of rationalizing or critical thinking. I'm stunned nobody slapped him for even saying it. - oakapple, on 10/10/2007, -6/+169So, John Gibson believes we need to kill another 3,000 innocent Americans because he wants to what...bring the country together? Of course, when the country does come together, when the most cynical amongst us (i.e. Jon Stewart) do put all partisanship aside, and do profess their love of country, does Gibson applaud? Does Gibson do the same, putting all his partisanship aside and embracing Stewart in their mutual love of country, despite their differences? Why, NOOOOOO, Gibson mocks it. John Gibson, and all like minded individuals, have a problem. They don't love this country. They don't love Americans. They loathe this country and despise Americans. What they love and take pride in is only those few in the minority that share their views. They don't want to make this country great, to fulfill it's promise, they want to warp it into their own twisted ideals, and if they need to mock those that genuinely let the curtain down and show their love of country, or kill 3,000 or so innocent Americans to do it, they will. Why, in God's name, does ANYONE listen to these people?
- obliviousfool, on 10/10/2007, -6/+132Olbermann gave Gibson the "worst person in the world" award for this. Gibson is indeed a tool.
- onemanfilmcrew, on 10/10/2007, -4/+102In that short audio clip, John Gibson proved that there are indeed worse things facing this country than terrorism. People like him has done more damage to this country than any terrorist attack every could.
- urbannomad23, on 10/10/2007, -4/+83as i said earlier:
that's disgusting. if you ever saw the video, he was hurt, really hurt. 3000 americans actually died, and he mocks a fellow americans remarks?
Jon actually does his job. His job is to satirize what's wrong with this world, and he is the best at it.
who actually gives a damn about their country? john or this gibson fellow? Americans should be appalled by this "gibsons" statements. - optamystic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+73Let's see which of them is utterly forgotten in 10 years. Hint: It won't be Stewart.
- jermo, on 10/10/2007, -6/+73I'm going to throw my bong at him
- nofrak1, on 10/10/2007, -22/+82I'm a conservative. I voted for Bush. I don't mind Fox News at all. And I think you're absolutely right.
- crazymonkey1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+60I believe the message he means to convey is, "we need another 9/11 to further enslave this country"
- luther70, on 10/10/2007, -1/+55Well consider the source this is the same guy who said that white people need to breed more because there are to many minorities in the US. Oh and lets not forget the war on Christmas.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+54Jon Stewart's broadcast after 9/11 was one of the most genuine, authentic responses I saw in the media. The fact that I (and I'm sure many others) could instantly recall exactly WHAT "Jon Stewart's Emotional Reaction to [the] 9/11 Attacks" WAS is a testimony to how much of an impact he made. John Gibson is just being a complete jackass and mocking a man who was mourning the loss of 3,000 Americans.
- wiremonkeymommy, on 10/28/2007, -2/+46neocons... the only people that 9/11 benefited, and now they want another one.
- Jambi, on 10/10/2007, -11/+54Because liberals are evil...EVIL! They just want to reshape America in their own twisted image; to ransack corporations, burn down all the churches and force everyone to become vegetarian homosexuals that read John Updike and Gore Vidal! We must destroy the village in order to save it!
- RanIntoTheDevil, on 10/10/2007, -1/+42Wow, this John Gibson has to be one of the most ignorant, arrogant, cruel, and insensitive men I have ever heard speak.
- Jordan117, on 10/10/2007, -1/+41***** you, John Gibson.
- zKman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+39If 3000 innocent people have to die to get people to believe in your cause, there's something wrong with it.
- fuzed, on 10/10/2007, -22/+51Digging you down for being a prick. Just because you don't agree with someone elses political views doesn't mean you need to bash them. It's liberals like you who give the rest of us a bad name.
- the6thReplicant, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28I have noticed that there a lot of people on digg that have absolutely no sense of humour.
Bu well done for trying. - eliot2000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25The John Gibson Show

M-F, 6pm - 9pm ET - broohaha, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23I beg to differ on that. In many instances he exposes the hypocrisy of politicians by doing a better job at identifying those moments when a politician talks one thing and seemingly (lies?) contradicts his or herself weeks, months, or years later. Does it help the country? Of course it does!
Is it his job to? Absolutely not, and he's said so himself. His job is to make comedy. And if along the way he does a better job than the regular news to show how badly our government is being run, then so be it. - pulyx, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24Douchebag.
- DoMifer, on 10/10/2007, -5/+25He bashed for an action, not a political view. And when your actions have an impact on others, then yes, they should be criticized. In this case, his vote was for the man behind the War on Terror. It played a part in the deaths of quite a few innocent people (both American and foreign). So why is this not worthy of being bashed? Or more importantly, why are you justified in bashing him?
- manicallday, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Is he actually advocating for another 9-11? Well then I'm officially advocating for another Lee Harvey Oswald.
- barryiggins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19the only thing he loves is money and power. I'm convinced most of these 'conservatives' are the same way. They're full of ***** and they know it.
- AndrewJC, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Jon Stewart holds the mirror up to society. It's society's job to look into that mirror and see the problems, and correspondingly act upon them.
Satirists such as Stewart, or Mark Twain, or Ben Franklin, or even MAD Magazine, do an absolutely VITAL job for freedom. - Falldog, on 10/10/2007, -8/+26Anyone who flys a plane into John Gibson will get a metal.
- fuzed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18That would be a waste of a perfectly good bong.
- salpairodice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17It looks like the Amazon review recounted in the link below is gone, but - if this is true - it's all you need to know about Gibson....
http://www.thepoorman.net/2005/12/23/a-very-wanker-christmas/ - manicallday, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17He really does give White people a bad name.
- jerbaker, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21The Religious Right have become more emboldened over the last 6 years, but they haven't changed. These people have always been liars, cheaters, thieves, and thugs. The only difference is that now they have a sympathetic news network and they are unafraid to speak their minds. They *WANT* another terrorist attack, as they themselves have said so many times. They dismiss the science behind just about everything and choose instead to legislate based on religious dogma. Abstinence in place of sex education anyone? Global warming is a communist conspiracy? Intelligent Design? These people are more insane than the Islamic fundamentalists they hate so much. They are actively seeking a global Armageddon to bring the return of their God to Earth. They are more dangerous to our society than Communists, China, Islamic terrorists, global warming, or anything else. They need to be eliminated immediately.
- obliviousfool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16No, Olbermann is decidedly human. He gushes over quite a few sports figures, most intellectuals, and (of all things) Harry Potter. You should watch his show once or twice.

- KarthVader, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Everyone call this prick and let him know that he is scum.
- zKman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15edit:
More specifically, advocating the death of 3000 innocent people. - turbopro, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Suppose we do get attacked again. I want to personally be there when this douche says this is for the best.
- luther70, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14That that all Americans weren't affected by 9/11 but obviously the people of NY and the surrounding area where affected more personaly. I think some members John Gibson listening yellow ribbon bumper sticker crowd are more likely to be phonies then Jon Stewart.
- boyasunder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Exactly. The only thing I specifically remember from the days immediately after the attack was Stewart's monologue on The Daily Show. The way he was able to show humanity and hope, on a stage usually reserved for mockery, was so very striking. That Gibson can't see that is more damning to him than all the other ***** that's spewed out of his mouth combined.
- ripple01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Cool, I'll take aluminum...
- neodorian, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16What he means is we need another 9/11 to bring people together under the Republican party. The only thing to be gained by a large scale terrorist attack is more death and more fear. Just what guys like Gibson eat up and make money from.
- Civilizationist, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Wikipedia says...
"He also enjoys raping puppies."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Gibson_%28media_host%29 - Genady, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Nothing unites like emotional appeals to lower brain functions. You know, fear, anger, those things that kick in in a 'Fight or Flight' situation. It's noble to think that we could ever be united by more altruistic ideals, but it's just not the case in the human animal. Threaten us in someway and we'll fall into lockstep to look out for our own interests. It's this appeal to the medulla oblongata that keeps the people scared and subserviant. Overcoming these feelings is the great challenge, one which, unfortunately, too few of us seem up to.
- kufu91, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14because the criticism in this case is unfunny, undeserved, and pure *****
- nakani, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13His righteous indignation would eat the resin away
- Afreyt, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15I for one am really ***** tired of people thinking that America needs to be saved from anything; because people aren't as afraid of terrorists as they should be, because we're all just too liberal, that we need more terrorists to convince us us that Daddy-State Conservatism is what we need.
Christ, he can say ***** like this, but the consequence of it is that right thinking, unafraid people think hes a moron. I for one don't want to spend my life living in fear, regardless of how many 'Islamofascists' want me dead. If I'm killed in 'another 9-11' my problems are over. But until then, I'm not going to cede my personal freedoms, or my ability to laugh at Jon Stewart, or start hating people that haven't personally done anything to me yet, because buttmunch here says I need to be attacked so I'll be more afraid of those same people and give his favorite rulers more power to defend me from them.
Honestly, I'd rather be killed by terrorists than live in his world. - VeganG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Is anyone else really creeped out by the more and more conservatives who keep saying that what we need is another 9/11? What the ***** is that all about?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Eh, you know what they say... The Internet is where humor goes to die. Well, maybe they don't say it, but I've certainly thought it.
- WasabiBomb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Find a single "liberal" who's forgotten 9/11- I dare you. I guarantee you that you can't. The only thing you'll find is a liberal who disagrees with the conservative method of letting fear determine policy.
