- voicce, on 09/04/2008, -0/+13I'l support and vote for the most liberty-minded candidate who can put together a strong strategy.
- muckemuck, on 09/04/2008, -0/+14I thought Gary Johnson gave a better speech at the rally and I'd vote for him if he runs as a Republican in 2012.
Jesse's book exposed some things about him that I would have a hard time supporting, BUT if the GOP runs another neo-conservative in 2012 then I would vote for Jesse or some other third party candidate. - Minarchian, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14My biggest concern with Ventura would be his stance on 9/11
As long as he keeps with questions, rather than accusations, I think he'll have a chance. But if he gets into the "inside job" rhetoric the press will denigrate him and eat him alive.
Other than that I would not only vote for him but donate and volunteer for him as well. - CurtisLow101, on 09/04/2008, -0/+7He has my vote!
- kemp34, on 09/04/2008, -1/+7By 2012 I project vast differences in the balance of influence in terms of media effects.
- umbrellapun, on 09/04/2008, -1/+7He wants us to show him we want it, so lets show him!
- Minarchian, on 09/04/2008, -1/+6Venture/Paul ? (Rand Paul, that is)
- DFF777, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5I wasn't sure about ol' Jesse...but after listening to him speak at Ron Paul's RFTR, I'm sold. "To hell with Patriot Act!" lol Ventura 2012!
- V3n0M, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3I agree, but if his speech at the rally is an indication of a forming relationship with Ron Paul, he's got a few years to learn a thing or two about humility and true Patriotism. I'm optimistic RP can rub off on him for a truly exciting 2012!
- LoveableNerd, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3I disagree. The more he talks about 9/11 being an inside job and the media attack him on it, the more people will begin thoroughly researching the issues to prove him wrong and find out how right he is. The facts are ALL ON HIS SIDE. And once they realize 9/11 was an inside job and that both major parties have been lying to them all this time, he will win by a landside. They try to portray him as a loon, but he ends up exposing them as liars and frauds. So we get an honest president and an extinct corporate media. Talk about win/win! So go ahead MSM, keep talking about his 9/11 views. I dare ya!
- brad3378, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4This was BY FAR the most divisive issue discussed at the Campaign for Liberty rally in Minneapolis.
I'd estimate that there was about 1/4 to 1/3 of the crowd that cheered the 9/11 rant while the rest of us crossed our arms and rolled our eyes.
Otherwise, I'd say that our crowd was mostly united......Especially when shouting "End the Fed" - bushfocker, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Jesse isnt afraid to speak his mind, he will have my full support in 2012 if he runs
- kemp34, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3Having reasonable questions about 9/11 will get you eaten alive? How exactly?
Only tools like you think rational questions are ground for derision. - LoveableNerd, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2I realize it is difficult for many people to wrap their head around. It involves a serious loss. Loss of trust in their leaders who are supposed to keep them safe. Loss of their entire paradigm. It opens up the pandora's box of if they lied about this, what else have they lied about? This is a complete shock to their system. The human psyche always deals with loss first with denial, then with anger and bargaining, before they come to acceptance. So I understand where the truth deniers are coming from. But facts are facts and science is science and once you scratch the surface even slightly the whole fairy tale official story collapses like a house of cards.
Start with Jesse's questions from the C4L rally: a simple visit to the FBI's web site proves his claim: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorists/terbinladen.h ...
Let the unraveling begin. - freemenow, on 09/16/2008, -0/+1I'd consider Jesse, if he finishes his transformation. I'm not too worried about his questions about 9/11, questions are good, questions should be asked. If he started turning them into statements, then I'd ditch him. It doesn't matter if it's true or not ... it's not useful. Most people will never believe it.
He's pretty close to my criteria: http://radical-centrist.blogspot.com/2008/09/pauls ... - Hortnon, on 09/05/2008, -1/+2Reasonable questions are more like
"Why weren't more people held accountable for the poor response?"
"Why was blind patriotism acceptable even then?"
etc
Not
'OMG THE EVIDENCE IS CLEARLY AN INSIDE JOB'
Which is not a question at all. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -3/+4In 2008 you predicted that Ron Paul would win easily.
- xrayecho, on 09/04/2008, -7/+6Jesse made a good start with that speech, but he's got a little growing to do before he convinces me.
- Hortnon, on 09/05/2008, -3/+3He's gone on some radio shows and made accusations.
- Minarchian, on 09/05/2008, -3/+3"In 2008 you predicted that Ron Paul would win easily"
In 2007 and 2008 you predicted he wouldn't get a single delegate. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -2/+2Not happening
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -3/+2He doesn't have any now, does he?
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -6/+4Now there's a guaranteed losing ticket. Combined they might pull 2% of the vote.
- reed311, on 09/04/2008, -8/+3Whether Ventura will make a good President is not going to matter because his comments about 9/11 will make sure that he only receives a fringe amount of support. He would be eaten alive by the media and pundits for his past comments.
