It's Time to Soak the Poor
conservatismtoday.com — We've tried soaking the rich, we've seen how poorly that works. Time for a radical departure from the politics of the past, and I've found the candidate to do it.

I went to read your blog, and even so you and I couldn't be more opposite on the political spectrum I did enjoy the humor of it. Of course, it's provocative but ultimately ludicrous. What we are witnessing right now is a collapse of the brutal capitalist free market notion that has prevailed in America since....Ronald Reagan. I think down the line, the next administration will have to put back social safety nets similar to the one in Canada and Europe.- fulibs, on 07/18/2008, -2/+7Please, social safety nets are what got us in this situation in the first place. Let these corporations fail, stop bailing them out with taxpayer money, and let them learn that the government is not going to be here to pick you up when you fall.
If you want a system like Canada and/or Europe, move there! This is America, we didn't become the greatest country in the world by being like the other guys.
The only reason we are witnessing the collapse of the free market is because of all the government regulation and intervention. Let the free market do its job without government intervention and you will be amazed at its ability to adapt and succeed. If you can't deal with the brutal reality of living in a free market, free country then GTFO!- elleigh2, on 07/18/2008, -1/+4Very well said,,,I concur!
- giantkicks, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1The safety nets you refer to are not "social" safety nets. They are corporate safety nets.
