Opportunists and people who sell their souls for campaign contributions may well preside over our national collapse.”

Well...! “It will take a smart, sane and courageous person to get us out.” Really?
Since the consummation and institution of the U.S. Constitution, America has moved steadily downhill with respect to individual freedom and liberty. I reckon the day will come that you will need “permission” from the government to fart! (Environmental controls!) That wasn’t meant to be funny... Where have all the “smart” politicians been to ALLOW the country to degrade to its present condition? There are NO “smart” politicians capable of such Sisyphean feats, to extricate America from the grip of absolute “stupidity,” accompanied by its seemingly unclear understanding of a lamentable experiment gone very wrong! You think not? You are in “deep” denial if you think not! Get a load of this: You aren’t FREE and you don’t have REAL liberty in America! You will do as the government tells you to do OR—you will get your silly ass “slapped back into place!” For all of you that have “critical-thinking” capacity—chew on this: ONLY Sovereign Individuals stand any REAL chance of REAL freedom and liberty in this world as it is today! If you think some “smart” politician is in the wings to “change” the system, you are looking through a diaphanous veil of false understanding of history. Tenebrous clouds are gathering. To trust in the State and its government is a true prescription to “piss away your freedom and liberty.” However, as Gore Vidal so remarkably noted in an interview, “Americans will get exactly what they deserve, NOT what they want. I personally chose SI. There is NOTHING like it! For individuals that want REAL “free choice” not just “a choice” given by government: (Do you wish to be “shot or hung?”) Leave. Become a Sovereign Individual OR live your life as the “slave you already are.” ~ Capt. A., Monaco- Pitofdoom, on 12/13/2007, -0/+2I guess my "pitofdoom" has just been eclipsed !

Whom do you answer to: Christ or pharaoh, caesars, popes, kings, queens, governments or little allah's.- CaptA, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2Answer to yourself. Become a Sovereign Individual and live your life as you wish; not as the wish of others... Regards, Capt. A, Monaco
- JDenigma, on 12/14/2007, -0/+4Welcome to Big Brothers Orwellian world. It's "Idiocracy". We're living it. I support CaptA's choice of S.I. , but I don't think that's necessarily the only route one has to take to achieve the same goal that we want. I would probably be inclined to agree with Capt at this point that voting and trying to defeat the beast from within is pointless now. I think it's just too late now. We're too far gone now, beyond that event horizon. There's just no turning back. It's going to take a revolution from outside of government and a reeducation amongst the population. As much as I support Ron Paul, at the end of the day, I don't think it's really going to mean much in terms of changing things and I don't mean that as a criticism of Ron either. I just mean that he as one individual can only do so much and the population as a whole won't support his ideas anyway. The American people as a whole don't want liberty and they won't accept Ron's message. Maybe many of us liberty lovers here on Digg would, but we're not representative of the average American I'm afraid. Liberty just can't and won't come about from a top down approach through government. We can't count on some "leader" to save us and reeducate the sheeple. It has to happen at a grassroots level. There has to be an epiphany and a paradigm shift in the collective consciousness amongst people to change this world and right now most people don't understand what we do.
I think things are going to get really bad. Maybe there will be that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, but it is going to have to take things to get really dark first. There will have to be total tyranny and a collapse of civilization in order to potentially bring about the change that is needed unfortunately. I really don't even think Ron is going to be nominated. Look at how much the political system and the media is stacking things against us no matter how much we support him and get the word out. Too many people still don't know about him and when they do find out about him, many just aren't ready for his message of liberty. Liberty scares too many people still. Too many people are so dumbed down and brainwashed that they're easily manipulated by what the polls and the media tell them about the handpicked candidates. Sorry, I just don't see Ron getting nominated and I don't see things getting better. I hope to be proven wrong about that. I think there is going to have to be a revolution in this world in the future. Whether it is going to be a violent or a peaceful one, is another question.- CaptA, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Josh,
You have the Big Picture. To that, there's no doubt in this man's mind. NOW, the real question at your age should be: What am I going to do to live my life to be as free as I wish? To stay inside ANY system that treats you as a "resource," a subject, and not as a free person -- as a REAL free market would, doesn't deserve to have you in their ranks! If, however you, DEEP down inside merely wish to "rant" about things that are, or the way you wish things were, and you take no real ACTION to obtain your freedom and liberties, privacy etc., you deserve what you get and - YOU lose!! Don't wait and HOPE for thing to change: YOU change YOU! Then get on and live your life as YOU see fit! Follow no one. Otherwise, be content to live the life of a "slave" -- that you already are. No brag, just fact. Regards, Capt. A., currently in Monaco- JDenigma, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1That is if one believes taking the S.I. route you've taken, is the only answer, which I don't think is necessarily the case. Maybe in some cases you don't intend for it come across this way, but I know there are certain anarchists of your stripe who adopt an unfair elitist attitude in thinking that anyone who isn't an anarchist or simply anyone who isn't "apolitical" by not voting or somehow living outside of the jurisdiction like you, is a lesser person who doesn't care about liberty and is immoral.
You can also say that I'm ranting, but what's so wrong with that and you do it too on here particularly when you're on your high horse against anyone who isn't an S.I. which is so overly simplistic. What's to say that becoming a S.I. is the only activist thing to do? Would you have this attitude towards all liberty lovers and activists trying to do whatever they see fit to reclaim liberty even those part of the freestateproject. If you would then I think you're totally blinded by your tunnel vision and short sighted zealot like anger. It does no good and accomplishes nothing by trying to talk down to people who haven't taken the same actions as yourself just so you can feel better about yourself and be pompous. Maybe you're just angry because everyone hasn't taken the same steps and sacrifices you have.
I don't have a problem with anarchists as a whole, but I have noticed there are certain types of anarchists who adopt a condescending, smarmy attitude against anyone who isn't exactly like them even when they may be fighting for the same goal. That becomes a turn off to people and I would rather work with anarchists who are friendlier and not so snotty in their tone. Remember the art of persuasion. You just anger people more than getting them to see your message.
Oh and as for you and ponggod, my balls are just fine ;-) I'm secure enough in myself. Everything just rolls off my back.

- CaptA, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Josh,
- JDenigma, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1CaptA, you would also be better served in explaining this whole S.I. thing and describing what your life as a S.I. is like so people can get a better grasp of it and perhaps be persuaded by it rather than lecturing people about how superior it is.
