  • rosshowell, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1America is going to lend money to Petrobras in which Soros invested 1/3 of his portfolio for Brazilian oil exploration, but we are not developing our own natural resources. Sarah Palin's August 2008 speech https://www.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis/archive/is ... pointed out the benefits to the economy, America's energy independence and therefore our national security. It seems to me to be negligence or incompentence to maintain energy dependence in a world which could use it against us for business or military purposes. Environmental concerns matter little after you can't afford to continue functioning at the level you need to or you lose the battle to maintain your freedom. Why are we funding another country when we are short on capital?
