- NinaOdell, on 11/12/2009, -10/+45It's a valiant attempt at humor, and I dugg it up.
Those Chuck Norrisisms all over the web are creative, but I simply can't laugh at them any more, because Chuck Norris is a giant tool.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDUQW8LUMs8 - BeerRules, on 11/12/2009, -1/+35Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.
The boogy man checks his closet every night for Chuck Norris. - kyledeb, on 11/12/2009, -1/+27I'm not a fan of Chuck Norris, but Chuck Norris jokes an still be funny.
- lead2thehead, on 11/12/2009, -1/+20Chuck Norris does not use condoms because there is no such thing as protection from Chuck Norris.
- lead2thehead, on 11/12/2009, -10/+28An illegal immigrant who is a law abiding citizen? Aren't those things mutually exclusive?
- RutgerB, on 11/12/2009, -3/+20Chuck Norris once got pulled over by the police for speeding, he let the officer off with a warning
- kyledeb, on 11/12/2009, -3/+18Chuck Norris is a tool, but Chuck Norris jokes can still be funny.
- novenator, on 11/12/2009, -3/+15Awesome. I wonder if Rivera has a chair hidden behind his?
- cajungator3, on 11/12/2009, -3/+15Chuck Norris is a migrant! He migrated from the Planet of the Immortals.
- Pimptastic, on 11/12/2009, -8/+20Its too simple of an idea for our government to use, even though it makes sense.
- BeerRules, on 11/12/2009, -2/+14Man I feel like someone's gonna get a single roundhouse kick to the face in like two seconds.
Chuck Norris is not Politically Correct. He is just Correct. Always.
Chuck Norris is the only man who has, literally, beaten the odds. With his fists. - CaptCarrot, on 11/12/2009, -4/+16Aw, somebody forgot his Happy Suppositories this morning.
- lead2thehead, on 11/12/2009, -3/+15Those are Chuck Norris FACTS.
- novenator, on 11/12/2009, -2/+13There's my favorite troll and harasser extraordinaire ! I've missed your insults peeny.
- novenator, on 11/12/2009, -3/+14The only problem with the 'vote them all out' calls is they only seem to be around suddenly when there is a Democratic majority. The same thing happened in 1994, all of the calls for term limits and ousting congress suddenly stopped after the Republicans took control. Sort of makes you wonder who is behind all the negativity that cause people to get so pissed off, doesn't it?
- andyroo316, on 11/12/2009, -2/+12I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris is still remembered due to the facts. No-one knows or cares about the right-wing stuff.
- westgate1, on 11/12/2009, -6/+16Chuck can kill two stones with one bird.
Chuck Norris can take a woman's virginity twice.

- 408train, on 11/12/2009, -2/+7haha they both have lots of good jokes
- contradictator, on 11/12/2009, -4/+8I usually don't like hearing celebrities' solutions to society's problems, but I admit, Chuck's idea seems to make sense.
- NinaOdell, on 11/12/2009, -4/+8Are you one of them? Granted, we're in a recession, but two years ago I don't think white folks were lining up for any of those jobs.
What are you doing right now? Because here in CA the artichokes need picking. C'mon down! - fakeguy, on 11/12/2009, -0/+4Chuck Norris is a douche.
- fatherdoom, on 11/12/2009, -3/+6People use this argument all the time in support of and against immigration. Im not sure which youre advocating, but yeah, the government pockets social security money from illegal immigrants; its really not that huge of a deal.
Those "pawns" as you call them get injured from time to time, and guess where they go when that happens? You guessed it...the emergency room. And with no way or reason to actually pay their exhorbitant ER bills, they apply the "dine and dash" to health care. The same goes for legal fees, auto insurance, and the ever growing cost of the futility of keeping them south of the border.
Im not a radical on either side of the issue. If we could magically remove every illegal immigrant from this country, our entire economy would collapse; that being said, its basically one step above slavery to keep them here without any actual rights. But the massive sum they "contribute" to the SS pool is whats keeping it from tanking at the moment. Its not as black and white as the government stealing from them, nor is it as cut and dry as every politician wanting to keep the status quo. - elliotys, on 11/12/2009, -1/+4Bruce Lee >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chuck Norris
- CaptCarrot, on 11/12/2009, -12/+15And you are who again?

- NinaOdell, on 11/12/2009, -5/+8When I see you out picking produce, building houses, or wiping someone's butt when they're ninety for below poverty level wages, you might be qualified to say something I'll hear.
- novenator, on 11/12/2009, -1/+4I'll always remember him for jumping onboard the Huckabee bandwagon early on. He was used as a prop for religious right views.
- ericcc, on 11/13/2009, -0/+3My freshman year of college we talked about this in class. Almost half the class complained that there where no jobs to be had. I guaranteed them I could find each and every single one of them a job by the end of the day if they were willing to work in the fields (it was olive season and even in 2003 you could make $15/hr). Nobody took me up on my offer but there was a lot less bitching and moaning about illegal aliens taking jobs after that.
- kyledeb, on 11/12/2009, -4/+7Not true. It is possible to be an unauthorized migrant and not commit any crimes. Most unauthorized migrants are not charged with any crime. They are in violation of civil, not criminal law.
Chuck Norris did err, technically, though, when he referred to unauthorized migrants as citizens. - tehWyman, on 11/12/2009, -1/+4First thing he's ever said I've slightly agreed with.
He's normally a bible-thumping loon. - pleaseno, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3He looks old now, even with the wig.
- kyledeb, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3Unauthorized migrants actually frequently pay taxes on income too.
- vodka357, on 11/12/2009, -4/+6Chuck Norris did get punched in the head a bunch of times by Bruce Lee so that might explain some of his problems
- lnmagic, on 11/12/2009, -2/+4One question though... if they are illegal immigrants, how are they law abiding citizens? By circumventing our immigration laws, illegal immigrants put themselves and their families at risk because the employers have no incentive to treat them fairly (aside from personal conscience). Their employers must keep them a secret, so the immigrants cannot report abuses to get help.
The people that illegal immigrants hurt most are not US citizens; rather it's the people that wait for years - sometimes 8-10 - to get into the country legally that must wait longer because there are now fewer jobs for them to fill.
If you want to start tackling the problem of illegal immigration, you have to hit the source by imposing heavier penalties on employers caught with illegal immigrants.
By the way, you might be surprised at the wide diversity found employed by INS. - lnmagic, on 11/13/2009, -0/+2That's true. Juarez is a particularly bad city at the moment. It's crime is so bad there that some of it spills into El Paso. I agree that giving positive aid to Mexico would greatly help both countries out. Most of the countries south of us are in far better shape than Mexico. Mexico badly needs a growing middle class.
- kyledeb, on 11/12/2009, -2/+4There are certain crimes relating to migration, such as improper entry by an migrant, which is a misdemeanor, or working as an unauthorized migrant. Those are referenced in the code you put forward.
That is not how migrants are generally charged, though, and a great many unauthorized migrants, like the 40% who overstay tourists visas, never commit a criminal offense.
Migrants are generally charged in immigration courts, which is a branch of civil law. I'm not saying it's simple. It's not entirely altruistic either. Migrants would actually have more rights under criminal law than civil law because they would have due process. In immigration courts migrants often do not have due process (they don't have a right to a lawyer for instance).
I'm not saying this is cut and dry simple stuff. Immigration law is very complicated, which is part of the reason folks want comprehensive immigration reform. The system is a mess. I'm a migrant advocate but not a lawyer so I can't profess to be an expert on immigration law and frequently rely on lawyers do do the work that I do.
Still I do know that immigration law is civil not criminal. - chaaree, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3Chuck Norris is so fast he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head.
- Voob, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2I'm all for a national sales tax.
That way EVERYONE would pay their fair share.....the rich and the poor.
We are almost to the point in America where 50% of Americans pay no taxes at all. - gh0st037, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3@rjey
