How the Democrats Created Our Present Financial Crisis

Back in 2005, Chuck Hagel and other Republicans passed a bill out of the Banking Committee to reform the two mortgage giants, a bill that could have prevented the crisis. But Senate Democrats, larded with gifts from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac execs, killed the bill, and with it any chance of reform.
