- bstory, on 05/16/2008, -1/+16if it were only true - I can't help but think that the current administration is going to pull something to postpone the election in an effort to the war funding going.
- rcnevada, on 05/16/2008, -2/+5I doubt that even a bunch as devious and dishonest as the current administration can find a way to delay the election. But if you want to know how it all ends, watch old news footage of the politicians posturing just before we bailed on Viet Nam.
- rcnevada, on 05/17/2008, -1/+3After watching Bill Moyers this evening I would like to make an adjustment to my position. I doubt that they can delay the elections, and I don't believe that a false flag operation on US soil will be necessary.
Here's a quote from VICTOR NAVASKY: "If you read Norman Podhoretz's account...where he says that we have a carrier right off the coast of Iran, and all the President has to do is say "go". And that the non-military solutions have not worked. You can't not take it seriously."
Everywhere you see McCain you see Joe Lieberman, Hillary has indicated she would attack Iran. The firepower is in place. All they need to do is create enough of an "unprovoked" military incident to neutralize Obama and a few sane politicians and they have their war.

- roosevans, on 05/17/2008, -6/+8I think in this scenario of Republicans starting to turn against the War In Iraq, we see the neo-con influence within the Republican Party weakening. Ron Paul has a lot to do with this political phenomena because Ron Paul is trying to restore the Republican party to it's true platform and convictions. Neo-cons are not true conservatives but they are far left liberals that have co-opted the Republican party. Though I am a conservative Democrat, I would love to see Ron Paul upset John McCain in the Republican convention because McCain seems to have bought into the neo-con ideology, in my opinion.
- chicofaraby, on 05/17/2008, -3/+4*****. The Republicans are responsible for the state of the nation. You guys loved George Bush two years ago and nothing has changed except that more Americans have noticed the results of right wing policies; illegal war, torture, inflation, unemployment and recession. This is the result of the GOPs right wing ***** and Ron Paul is no different. Don't try and push this off on "neocons." It was the Republicans who ***** the nation.
- Rubab, on 05/17/2008, -1/+3All the wars should end.. all house in the world should pass resolution all together that they are not going to support any war anywhere..
- madwaxer, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1They did they called it the United Nations.
but in the years since it was deliberately created with flaws it has sat by many more civil wars and invasions, playing lip service to it's permanent members. it has to go and be replaced by a ody of civil servant equally representing the needs of innocent people-NOT corporations.
- madwaxer, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1They did they called it the United Nations.
- reeder, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2The Republican base may not like, but it's better for them then when they collapse on little boys. Everyone knows they have enough of that to go around.
- JimmySpaza, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Or perhaps simply those 100 Republicans simply didn't like that appropriations bill and are waiting for a better one to vote on. Happens all the time.
- bsdboy, on 05/17/2008, -0/+4Well they didn't exactly vote against it either...
