- PistonMoaned, on 11/19/2008, -0/+21Lowe's is a nicer store anyway.
- Dantewolfe, on 11/19/2008, -0/+19The BOYCOTT is on!
- elemenopeequeue, on 11/19/2008, -0/+18Looks like I'll be shopping at Lowes now... what a douchbag.
- DanniD, on 11/19/2008, -0/+18So what he's saying is...customers who didn't support the GOP, shouldn't shop at Home Depot! That's cool, I like Ace and True Value Hardware stores better anyway!
- tinag, on 11/19/2008, -0/+16Wow, I've never really liked shopping at Home Depot as much as I like Lowes, now I don't have to worry about that anymore!
- twvance, on 11/19/2008, -1/+15Not good for Home Depot.
- jadex, on 11/20/2008, -0/+13I'm a current small business owner and I donated what I could afford to Obama.
I'm not worried about getting shot. - NoDrama, on 11/20/2008, -0/+12No room for discussion, evidently.
Damn, and here I am a former small retail business owner, disagreeing. Guess I should boycott them with the rest of you, since going in might get me shot. - DreamingInUSA, on 11/19/2008, -0/+12Whoa. This is getting ugly.
- jaymonster, on 11/19/2008, -1/+12Proof positive once again that the GOP is for the rich, by the rich (despite what they try to tell the low income suckers they fool)
- StarThrower2, on 11/20/2008, -1/+7He IS an irascible old coot, isn't he? What about all those homegrown christian values he built his business on?
- tinag, on 11/19/2008, -0/+5Definitely!
- LKnight, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4Evidently he thinks the economy is just fine, as he's willing to write off the majority of the voters in this country.
- JBmtk, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3"you can do it, we can help"... that is, shooting yourself
- Cuchanu, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2The GOP actually loves poor people. That's why they like trickle down economics; because they love poor people so much they want more of them.
- Weatherwaxx, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3When Home Despot brought Dubya in during 2004, I stopped giving them my money.
- Cuchanu, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2"That will change when the A-Rabs and minorities take over"
-Bat ***** Crazy Disgruntled McCain Supporter - Berkana, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3Well, that settles it. I will not shop at Home Depot again (unless he repents) if I can help it.
- eco57, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2I have been boycotting Home Depot almost as long as I've been boycotting WalMart. I was about to re-assess Home Depot since they fired that CEO, but as long as Bernie Marcus is associated with the store, I'm not going near it.
- progressiveEC, on 11/20/2008, -1/+2Wait a minute - Marcus is no longer part of Home Depot; he sold his ownership
Other Co -owner and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank - has given generously to Obama and other dems - granted he plays both sides, but has given a lot of money to Dems.. - orenelliott, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1home depot is the creepy creepo of the home service industry
- JenniferInMO, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I'm sure he has a little padding in his bank account to weather out this economic storm.
- Cuchanu, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Home Depot's employees avoid customers like the plague. I went in there awhile back with my uniform on (blue and red) and was asked probably ten times if I could help somebody find something, the whole time I was trying to find somebody to help me.
- Cuchanu, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I'm not going near it because it smells like chicken ***** and pesticides.
- Cuchanu, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Apparently pretending that the GOP gives a ***** about abortion is more important than knowing that the GOP wants to continue a war that has killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
And somewhere along the line greed was turned into a virtue, not a sin.
That's the Christian Coalition for you. - Joejackal, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I would feel very differently about this remark if it had occurred prior to the general election earlier this month. Choosing to broadcast this kind of partisanship well after the election results are clear is yet another example of the selfishness and shortsightedness of so many Republicans. Doesn't he give a damn about the welfare of his employees as we close in on what will probably prove to be one of the most disappointing year-end seasonal retail sales periods that we've experienced in many decades. What a bunch of sore losers and true "whiners" many Republicans have proven to be. McCain's eloquent concession speech and recent constructive meeting with the president-elect Obama are shining examples of how one ought to comport oneself with dignity and value. Enough with the sour grapes already; let's work together to achieve some broad-based solutions to our common challenges.
- bluegal, on 11/23/2008, -0/+0Home Depot paid big bucks to George W. Bush's second inaugural celebration. The Second One. Yep.
