Just read Obama's platform. Most representable to me are his redistributionist policies: i.e. punishing earners making $75,000 + for their success and redistributing that wealth (in the form of tax cuts) to those on the lower end of the spectrum. I fail to see why people think he's the second coming. You don't need to dig deep to learn he's just your typical, crummy, class warfare democrat. Cold day in hell before I vote for him. - inactive, on 07/01/2008, -1/+16Go Ron Paul!
- radiantstorm, on 07/02/2008, -0/+6I would dearly love to see Ron Paul in office, but will never be tolerated by the elites. Obama's a Bilderberg shill, unfortunately. He attended WITH Hillary this year. His tenure will be a more "light-hearted" approach to the furtherance of the NWO agenda.
- livegreenordie, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4The Clinton/Feinstein connection scares me~
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3Ron Paul's methods would work fine AFTER a much needed revolution, but with DC being full of such vicious ruthless bastards I think that we should look to history and examine the methods of the French Revolution for the only appropriate, just, and efficacious method of restoring power to the people.
Someone let me know if everyone gets ready to start (hint: if you aren't familiar with the French Revolution, it helps if you read about it, assuming you are able to do so.) - kpmoore, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2"...many will be unpersuaded that a return to the gold standard is the only or even the best answer."
As much as I love and support Ron Paul, I have always thought that this was his weakest argument. A return to the gold standard is simply not feasible and to keep insisting otherwise makes Dr.Paul seem delusional. I agree that a monetary policy based on the Federal Reserve is a flawed system, but a return to the gold standard is not a reasonable solution.
This book is fantastic by the way, I highly recommend you pick yourself up a copy. His ideas make so much sense that I frequently found myself getting frustrated at the glaring lack of common sense incorporated into our government policies. - ciaran036, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1It's unfortunate that our only other real choice is John McCain.
Who's left in the Presidential Race and what would it take to put them up there beside Obama and McCain?
