Here's a firsthand account of the contrast between the two conventions: http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Two_Republican_C ...
and there are many accounts by Republicans of the nazi like behavior of the GOP at the RNC. It's too late for them to change this year. The question is will they change when they fail in November? - Journeywithinn, on 09/06/2008, -0/+35I loved hearing Mr. Lawson speak (first time) and I sure hope he wins. There is much at stake in this country, now. Every Congressman who runs, regardless from which state, has a chance to bring this government back to the Constitutional Principles which made this country free and great, to begin with. If you read that wonderful document, you will see there is so much already being done in opposition to it, and it scares the begeezus out of me..
- Lawofnations, on 09/07/2008, -0/+25I thought the Rally was primarily conceived to meet chicks.
Actually I was scampering around the Target building like a squirrel on crack. I went to the volunteer room, was given a badge and sent "down the hall to the last door on your right." I overshot and almost walked in on a couple of reporters interviewing a gentleman in a dark suit that looked like..oops. I got his autograph already. Back away. Go to the OTHER room on your right dumb@$$! Inside I met people from all over the country that were lovers of freedom and highly intelligent. Lot's of questions about law, strategy, how things were goin' over in other states. Above all we were truly having fun. I was sent to help a variety of people, some of whom I didn't know so I wasn't too shy around them, at the merchandise table. They autographed their books and posed for pictures. I would go back into the auditorium as things slowed down to catch different speakers or performers. Got a hug and picture with Aimee after her wonderful performance. Too cool. After playing her song "Wake Up!" about 11 million times I had truly come full circle. When Dr. Paul finally took the stage the energy level was absolutely intense. Not contrived like the chicanery across the river.
The next day at the Mall of America the Ron Paul shirts outnumbered the McCain shirts 3 to 1 but that was only because a lot of us had already left. The McCain delegates were polite and genuinely interested in the real celebration. I gently reminded them that their responsibility was to We the People. Not to a candidate. Not to a party. Not to a government. They nodded knowingly and we shook hands and wished each other godspeed.
If you missed out then I have to tell you that a popular subject was "Where shall we hold next years Rally?" - tkubic46, on 09/07/2008, -0/+19We need a Coalition of Liberty Loving Candidates and People! The Campaign for Liberty needs to organize a coalition of Liberty loving, Constitution defending candidates to help out! BJ Lawson and Linda Goldthorpe and Ron Paul are just the start!
- bucfish, on 09/07/2008, -0/+15Yeah the GOP will one day return to their principles and we Paultards as they call us will never go away. After all deep inside all men want freedom.
- HxChris91, on 09/07/2008, -0/+13Comon NC's 4th! elect this guy!
- brad3378, on 09/07/2008, -0/+11I had a really good time in Minneapolis too, but if there's one thing I learned - Next time I'm taking the whole week off from work instead of one day!

- MPOmnis, on 09/07/2008, -0/+5I believe you mean dead-on. ;)
- MooseOfReason, on 09/09/2008, -0/+4We just have to get BJ in office. Plenty of people are waiting to run, but they don't think they can do it. If there's someone who's successful, we can influence a lot of people to give it a try.
That said, BJ Lawson is strapped for cash, so please donate. Congressman Lawson! - JettaMan, on 09/11/2008, -0/+3I hope Lawson kicks some butt this November.
- MadMushroom, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3You made a great point, that most rank and file Republicans are friends of Liberty. I have talked to many fellow Republicans in my area about Ron Paul's ideas, and they are very respectful and often intrigued. We just have to keep up our dialog, and sooner or later they will see through the propaganda, hopefully before the neocons start a world war and/or wreck our economy.
Fantastic article by Mr. Lawson. He is a patriot, and I'm going to send him some financial love from up north. - baillingskater, on 09/15/2008, -0/+2ron paul 08
- Striker101, on 09/14/2008, -0/+2So who thinks we're gonna make it until November?
I assembled a bunch of Diggies on morality101.net/blog/ - muckemuck, on 09/09/2008, -0/+3haha.. yep. sigh... at least you all got what I meant.
