- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+49Boy, you Liberals sure watch a lot of Fox News.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+34The biggest treat to the republic of the United States is not terrorism but media monopoly. Anyone following Digg and finds the really important news--news that runs counter to Murdock, Fox News or the White House, realizes that we have a controlled media. A controlled media can lead the nation to fascism.
- OldRick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18"Please let us fix our school system so we can stop producing so many uneducated people who call themselves liberal."
Amen!
Not to mention those who call themselves conservative. In fact, let's just truncate this to "Please let us fix our school system so we can stop producing so many uneducated people." - nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -10/+26"He was accusing Bush of war crimes, and subsequently saying that war criminals deserve to be "hung, tried, and shot." Not exactly the same thing as saying "the president should be hung" like its being played up as."
Isn't that exactly the same thing? If all in group "A" should have fate "B" and you are in group "A" . . . shouldn't you have fate "B." - robinator08, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20"What Will It Take for Bush-Bashing to Stop?"
Perhaps a DMCA take-down request?
Just kidding, it would really take several miracles. - drgkstep, on 10/12/2007, -18/+30i like how he thinks rage against the machine is a guy named rage.
- CurToast, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16... Digg?
- usercc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Clinton was convicted of a crime and lost his law license.
- michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14I'm sure lying to the American people in the State of the Union to justify a war is against some law or maybe falls into the "high crimes" catch all. Remember those 16 words? http://www.truthout.org/cgi-bin/artman/exec/view.cgi/59/19157
And YES he did lie and YES he knew he was lying at the time. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+18I mean threat, not treat.
The biggest threat to the republic of the United States is not terrorism but media monopoly. - Knucklecallus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13Ah jesus christ... i love how the guy at the end of the article is going on a rampage and yelling about as if the bush supporters were the majority in this country. the republicans are split right down the middle about this mofo, and this guy is saying that the "far left", more like modest - conservative left, are feasting off of bush while 70% of the country dissaproves of him. so now what, is he saying that 2/3rds of the country are far left bastards? what has happened to his america?
- earthwormzim, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9As far as I'm concerned, the so-called "leaders" of this nation can impeach each other 'till the end of time. They are all guilty of treason, bribery, and all sorts of other high crimes and misdemeanors. Nothing but a bunch of white-collar gangsta-thugs that call themselves "the government".
None of them represent me. - geekee, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11"Fox news - Still not covering impeachment movement, same 'ol tricks"
What's up with this screwed up title? No major news network is covering impeachment because there's no story. Is this some trick to get a conservative pundit's view onto Digg's front page? - markos, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13@patnolan:
So you seem to be on the fence about impeachment. Considering the case Republicans made for impeaching Clinton, I'd say Bush is overdue for impeachment, at least by their standards.
Also, how do you know the prez isn't a drunk? - lateralus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Remember this is the guy who wrote a book called "The War on Christmas". Seriously.
- fohat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This guy can't even get his own jokes right. It's Impeach Cobbler dammit, and I'll take mine with Ice Cream!
mmmm president cobbler.... - Beatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13That has to be sarcasm...right?
Right?? - snockhockster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5John Gibson is a douchebag.
- earthwormzim, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8The so-called "9-11 Truth Movement" ain't gettin' no coverage cuz there isn't any truth in it.
- AlexWills, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Fox News never would have become so popular if CNN, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, etc. weren't our alternatives...
- daisele, on 10/12/2007, -2/+624 news stations are meant for entertainment. If you just want to read the news, go online and read press releases.
- Katana314, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5"That's my word."????
Telling people not to Bush-bash is one thing...but STEALING A QUOTE FROM STEPHEN COLBERT... - michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Funny how he says something to the affect that in the past this kind of discourse was acceptable but now (meaning now that the other party has power) he doesn't think its acceptable.
You know there is real support for something when Fox decides they need to address it.
Impeachment finally got a blip on Fox's radar. - imnojezus, on 10/12/2007, -9/+13What will it take for the Bush bashing to stop? Easy. Get rid of Bush. And even then, expect it to go on for a long time. This administration is on par with the Nixon administration in terms of how horrible a presidency can get. It will hopefully be held as a measuring stick for how NOT to run the country for decades to come. So stop asking us to go into our little hole and keep out mouths shut. There's something wrong with this country, and we won't keep quiet until it's fixed.
edit: sorry robinator... this wasn't meant to be a reply. :/ - vatosplace, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"Oh by the way which one's pink?"
- gooddaysunshine, on 10/12/2007, -9/+12well he's asking for it.

- davecor, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7I guess impeaching a lame-duck president makes sense if you have no agenda or policies to advance in the next election.
The "Bush" sucks platform is self evident (and I'm a flippin conservative) but what do you do after he's gone?
The Dems will just go after each other... hell, that's already started. - PhoenixAvatar2, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10I think you're about five years out of date on that one.
- DigitalDud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Hah what is he being charged with? "4 counts of exerting legitimate executive authority in violation of the Democratic National Committee platform". The link is clear and obvious.
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Noted. Ron Paul supporters have no sense of humor...
- JoeB4ever, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Movement?
- cherwilco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@ dave11980 for asking this question;
"I also don't know how many presidents this country can have getting impeached back to back."
there where only 2 presidents in this nations history that where impeached and they where andrew johnson and bill clinton (look it up)
Johnson, a Southern Democrat who became president after Lincoln's assassination, supported a mild policy of Reconstruction after the Civil War. The Radical Republicans in Congress were furious at his leniency toward ex-Confederates and obvious lack of concern for ex-slaves, demonstrated by his veto of civil rights bills and opposition to the Fourteenth Amendment. To protect Radical Republicans in Johnson's administration and diminish the strength of the president, Congress passed the Tenure of Office Act in 1867, which prohibited the president from dismissing office holders without the Senate's approval. A defiant Johnson tested the constitutionality of the Act by attempting to oust Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton. His violation of the Act became the basis for impeachment in 1868. But the Senate was one vote short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict, and Johnson was acquitted May 26, 1868.
for those counting thats 1 impeachment started by the political right and after you tally up bill clinton (we all know who started THAT impeachment) then we have
drumroll please.......
100% of all impeachments this country has faced where implemented by the political RIGHT! so feel free to complain about the history of impeachment in our country because ANY time we have a dem in the white house going forward I guarantee that some fascist neocons will have him/her impeached for stealing office supplies!
source = http://www.infoplease.com/spot/impeach.html - davecor, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I also love that the R's have tricked the D's into being the ones behind leaving Iraq...
Once it turns to a total ***** when we pull out the R's can say "Not our idea to leave"
Talk about a masterful strategic retreat! - nomad1109, on 10/12/2007, -10/+12This just in!
All Americans who support impeachement of the POTUS do not know what impeachment means.
We seem to have been able to get Clinton impeached with about half the support from the public. You know why that is? It is because he actually broke a law, and it could be proven in a court of law.
You cannot impeach someone on the grounds of not liking them anymore.
Please let us fix our school system so we can stop producing so many uneducated people who call themselves liberal. - rolltide1, on 10/12/2007, -7/+9I am not conservative by any means, but
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LEARN WHAT IMPEACHMENT IS BEFORE YOU REGURGITATE IT AS THOUGH YOU KNOW IT
Obviously, many have no idea what impeachment is and what implicates someone in the process.
In the executive branch, you can only be impeached for "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors". To be charged and implicated for high crimes (which I bet most didn't know was happening) is a extremely serious business. It takes a considerable amount of evidence to actually implicate someone. Impeachment has only been tried twice in our history against a high-ranked executive member (Johnson/Clinton, Johnson actually impeached then acquitted). Both times were mostly politically based (LIKE NOW) and involved many misquotes (LIKE NOW) to push a political purpose (LIKE NOW).
This impeachment trial is no more warranted (if at all) than the others. In other words, no case = no real press = why a conservative station isn't broadcasting liberal news (=which is dumb to even think they would in the first place) - PixelVision, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Too bad the the creator of the DMCA is saying it's being abused and needs to be changed. Anyone can play that partisan game
- minox, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I think the article was fairly accurate. Look at it this way. The Democrats regained the Senate and House based on an anti-Bush platform. Democrats of all shades of blue sneaked in during the last election. Once they found themselves settled into their new quarters, the leadership looked around at their compatriots and found that they had little in common. Most of the new Ds from November were moderates. They couldn't find San Francisco with both hands.
The party is now forced to ask "If we take away the Bush bashing, will there be anything left?" - daisele, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Of course, because even if Fox News is biased it's still entertaining to watch sometimes. The other stations are boring...
- Spektr4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Conservatives were still Clinton-bashing for years after he left office, so I'm guessing people will be Bush bashing beyond 2008 if liberals follow that pattern.
I mean seriously, this guy is from Fox News, which was still bashing Clinton well into 2002, 2003 and beyond--in fact, continues to do so even now when the feeling strikes. So what a retarded question for this guy to pose. The bias of this network could not possibly be any more transparent. - daisele, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7There is no story to cover...
- tekz0r, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5FTA: "The trouble begins… now! Does John's My Word make your blood boil? Click here to listen live to The John Gibson Show on FOX News Radio (weekdays, 6-9 p.m. ET). It's your chance to call in and argue with John!"
I love this part, BEFORE the story -- so we don't just read it, get pissed, and close the window, we know we have an outlet to respond... only we have to go to a fox website, or listen to a Fox News Radio show ;) .. sad isn't it?
FauxNews' blatant attempt at turning a profit by pissing people off is ridiculously absurd. I secretly believe that Fox has lots of "popular" prime time television programming to simply create a good association with the name. So when kids grow up and look for news sources they trust the name "fox news" -- sad and pathetic attempts by Mr. Murdoch, I'm not buying it.
And John Gibson is a douchebag. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7...and this is why we have the problems we do today.
Take your apathy and get the ***** out. - SharkMan, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7maybe because this issue is retarded.
clinton was impeached, what happened... oh thats right, nothing. - EntropyMan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Ron who?
- blaze4metal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Somebody over there ought to condemn this [anti-Bush] talk, but they won't"
Nice. Yet another Fox News columnist that wants to wipe his ass with the Constitution - blaze4metal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well said, but Clinton was impeached as well.
- RollFizzlebeef, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5First of all, John Gibson is a douchebag.
Second, this adminstration has done things far, far worse than lying about a blowjob - but being the practiced crooks they are, they usually cover their tracks extremely well.
Third, impeachment talk is only going to make Dubya look sympathetic. Just let the guy keep us in Iraq and keep making an ass of himself and the Dems will waltz back into the White House without even trying. A Democratic White House and Congress is the best way to reverse course here and abroad. -
