- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -9/+66FOX is the de-facto publicity apparatus of the Republican party. Democrats would be foolish to appear on FOX, furthering the myth that FOX is in the "news" business.
- sfacets, on 12/19/2007, -8/+56Fox news is the biggest tabloid crap.
- jcr10000, on 12/19/2007, -13/+44I agree, Samwizen. Fox and most major media outlets do not want their party to face Edwards in the general election, mainly, because he's a winner and has a proven track record of taking on big business and thoroughly kicking the crap out of them. He's a trial lawyer who looks out for the little guy, and doesn't buckle and cave under pressure.
- entrophize, on 12/19/2007, -9/+35Believing anything that comes from Fox News is like taking sex advice from a 3 year old.
If you're THAT stupid to listen to it, you deserve to be misled. - ghamal, on 12/19/2007, -7/+32Insults are more a reflection of the insulter than the insulted. If FOX calls someone an "terrorist," you can be sure that the real "terrorist" in the situation is the one making the insult. It works with Bush speeches too.
- ianam, on 12/19/2007, -9/+32That's ignorant nonsense. What "special interests", and how did he "sell out"?
- chupavacas, on 12/19/2007, -6/+29The word "terrorist" has become so diluted from overuse as to mean almost nothing to me anymore. Can't they come up with something more creative like "Islamo-Neo-Anarch-Vandal"?
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -9/+32Ah, so he really hasn't sold out then. Thanks for the clarification. You ***** loon.
- underburn, on 12/19/2007, -3/+25http://whoisjohnedwards.name/ is a stupid page. Theres more info on why to support Ron Paul than why edwards isnt the right choice. Dont post your Ron Paul Propaganda and disguise it as info, *****.
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -2/+24Hey Spaz, just out of morbid curiosity, who's your pick for Prez? I wonder how much scrutiny your choice will hold up to.
- Glofern, on 12/19/2007, -16/+38I don't understand ee80's comments on John Edwards. JE is one of the only candidates that takes 0 money from special interestes, corporations, lobbyists and so he is the one who represents the people. I agree with Obama and Edwards to stay off of Fox - Fox is totally controlled by the corporate ownership with Rupert Murdock and I wish all the Democrats would stay off of Fox or any media that has an agenda to tear apart Democrats without truth - but by using smears and untruths.
My vote is going to John Edwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - mrASSMAN, on 12/19/2007, -7/+28Since when is edwards a good candidate? Obama is by far the best 'top-tier' candidate.
- SupaFurry, on 01/23/2008, -3/+23Why would you expect them to appear on the central pillar of the Republican attack machine? Giving Fox any interviews gives credibility to an organisation that has, and deserves, none.
- BadseedJR, on 12/19/2007, -1/+21As far as I know, Obama, Ron Paul, and Kucinich (maybe) also don't take money from Lobbyists and special interest groups. I'm a fan of people who can't be bought
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+21People who take anything on Fox News seriously are the kind of people that would never vote for Obama anyway.
- ghamal, on 12/19/2007, -1/+18That's not what he said to Chris Mathews in a recent interview. he said without he would get out of Iraq quickly and completely, without continuing the American occupation.
- Dumbledorito, on 12/19/2007, -2/+19Uh-huh. Fox just lets people state their case, ininterruped, and then asks thoughtful questions and politely awaits a response.
Oh, wait, I was thinking of Bizarro World Fox News. - Twoje, on 12/19/2007, -4/+19Bill O'Reilly makes me sick.
- Samwizen, on 12/19/2007, -37/+51Edwards is much better than most other candidates. He's perhaps the only democrat who stands a solid chance of beating the Republican nominee.
Fox News is attacking him so vehemently because they & their Republican controllers (Murdoch, etc) are afraid of him/Edwards getting the democratic nomination. - Dumbledorito, on 12/19/2007, -4/+18If the person hosting the show talks over you and yells "cut his mic" when he begins to lose, then it doesn't matter how sound your opinions are.
- ZenMojo, on 12/19/2007, -3/+16Polls have shown that Obama and Edwards both have significant odds over ALL Republican nominees. Hillary on the other hand LOSES TO THEM ALL.
- ytsejam29, on 12/19/2007, -2/+14I love how Hannity referred to Edwards as an "intellectual lightweight" as Ann Coulter was being shown on the screen....I-RON-Y!
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -3/+15dunno why you're getting dugg down. You're right about Edwards according to opensecrets.org
- chaosium, on 12/19/2007, -3/+14CNN is fairly conservative these days as well.
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -2/+13That's it, I'm investing in Reynolds. There's a fortune to be made in foil.
- Kaminky, on 12/19/2007, -3/+13Jesus was a communist...
Jesus was a pacifist. - chaosium, on 12/19/2007, -2/+12"Have you heard of the CFR? Council of Foreign Relations. Whether he understands it or not, he's sold out to the American people and the ideas of our founding fathers by joining the banking elite and their thugs."
You're the one chugging the kool-aid here, pally. - archiesteel, on 12/19/2007, -0/+9So, if you have a lot of money, you shouldn't be concerned about people that are poor? Nice thinking, there.
- offspring06, on 12/19/2007, -7/+15CNN is a non partisan news channel while Fox News is a Republican mouth piece. Is there any other news network that would even consider having Ann "Man Hands" Coulter on their channel?
- Tetraca, on 12/19/2007, -1/+9Consider: You're on digg. This is the last place you want to advertise Ron Paul. Everyone and their mother that takes care of them knows him here. Try elsewhere, where you would make a real difference, if you really want to make a difference for your candiate.
- Urusai, on 12/19/2007, -0/+7That's why the same companies who support the Republicans support Hillary. She's the Democratic candidate of the Republican Party.
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -4/+11"Dude, you just got *burned*. BURN dude, burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn."
- Pherdnut, on 12/19/2007, -0/+6I would laugh but people take them seriously. It's sad.
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+6Why would they want to go on Fox? They're heading into the Primary election. You must not be from the US or are unfamiliar with the system. During the upcoming election, the parties select their primary candidate to run for President. Obama and Edwards need to convince the Democrats to vote for them. If you haven't noticed, going on Fox news is not a reasonable strategy when trying to reach Democrats. After they win their parties nomination, then they will need to reach out to Republicans. THEN they will HAVE to go on Fox news.
- pyronik, on 12/20/2007, -1/+7your comments are totally logical, apparently the digging you down is the equivalent of cutting your mic
- rdonkey31, on 12/19/2007, -6/+12Fox News isn't nearly as much about political ideology as people claim, it is more about protecting business interests. Murdoch donated to Hillary's campaign as he sees her as more favorable to his interests than the other Dem candidates and even some of the Republicans that are running. The social conservative tone of fox news is only a consequence (in my opinion) of Murdoch looking to protect his business interests.
- GhostyBoy, on 12/19/2007, -2/+8I don't know what political agenda FAUX is trying to pursue anymore. I don't even think they know. One thing is clear, anyone with a 3rd grade education can see right through this tabloid garbage. So how is the education in America?
- k3nt, on 12/19/2007, -2/+8hey everybody! This guy's a BIG FAT PHOONNNYY!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=95RfjkGwoNU - BadseedJR, on 12/19/2007, -2/+8I'm for Ron Paul and everything, but this has nothing to do with the article at hand. At least make your comment pertinent to what this was about.
- solid12345, on 12/19/2007, -0/+6Likewise can't Muslims come up with anything better than "infidel"?
- xlogik, on 12/19/2007, -0/+6As a US citizen with choices, you really dont/shouldn't have to rely on one source for news... "Knowledge is Power" and in order to find it you have to search!
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -1/+6There is nothing wrong with socialists that a big bonfire or hanging wouldn't fix.
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -2/+7Fox Is BS - Let the candidates speak for themselves and let their issues be discussed.
- terrordome, on 12/19/2007, -0/+5Define socialist.
- ZenMojo, on 12/19/2007, -0/+5Fox rose to power in the Clinton era, you think they can't find SOMEBODY to prop their stories on or against?
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6how precisely does one look "genuine"?
- ZenMojo, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6The petition is support for Obama and Edwards to stay away from Fox and help deligitimize their position. If people want to hear about Obama and Edwards, they can go to every channel EXCEPT Fox and get a fuller picture of their candidates, and that's what should be happening.
- kronix2, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6CNN is corporatist.
- solid12345, on 12/19/2007, -2/+7Edwards IS a phony. He preaches about the "two americas" yet refuses to meet his neighbor because he lives in a shack compared to his castle across the street. Don't even get me started on the 400 dollar haircut.
- archiesteel, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6"When the government controls most things in your life, it's called socialism."
No, that's authoritarianism. Libertarian Socialism (aka Anarcho-Syndicalism), for example, doesn't seek to control people's lives. Don't confuse capitalism (where those who control the means of production alienate workers from their labor for monetary compensation) with personal freedom, because those are two distinct concepts.
I hope you got to learn something today, son. -
