The Ultra Conservative Chicago tribune has endorsed a democrat for the first time in 161 years.
Next up is Colin Powell who is expected to endorse on Sunday.
The prominent Catholic Scholar and Conservative Douglas W Kmiec has endorsed Obama and has said that Obama is the real pro-life candidate.
It has drawn flak for him and he is struggling with personal attacks against him.

I haven't been as surrounded by the media coverage and such as much in Canada, but he seems like the logical choice and will hopefully put America on a better path.
The times that I see McCain, he just seems to emanate stupidity/ignorance and not know what to do. Throw that in with the "elitist" attacks and the idiots who against Obama just because he's black, and it would be a solid vote for Obama from me.

As for small business, if you even watched the debate, small business is exempt from the requirement of providing healthcare to it's employees, but they would receive a to 50% tax credit to provide it. And if you haven't noticed, McCain's policies have called for a pretty big government, including a huge and poorly devised buyout of bad mortgages at face value.

Everyone needs to check and double check that their vote has been counted.
There should be a database online where people can type in their name and a personal password to verify that their vote has registered and that it's for the correct candidate. If you can pay your bills online you should be able to verify your vote online. That would be a quick way to ensure the electronic voting machines aren't pulling a fast one. Obviously, part of it comes from having a great candidate like Obama and America's growing dissatisfaction with the current administration. But the real important piece of infrastructure driving it all is the internet.
This is the first candidate to really fully embrace the internet and its power to communicate, organize, and bring people together.
