Diggers busily burying Hot Air posts as SPAM?!
hotair.com — Come on, Diggocrats. Is this a "marketplace" of ideas? Or a Digital Brownshirt's paradise?
- 301 diggs
- digg it
- darwinII, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27Why bury stories? Let people read and decide for themselves. We don't need "Digital Brownshirt's".
- MohammedAlDura, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14@linkedlist -- "Meh, just a democracy, deal with it."
Aren't you the "linkedlist" who wants to get LGF kicked off Digg?
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Stop_Digg_s_Abuse_n_An_Open_Letter_to_Digg - ajcip2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Why does Digg even have a "bury" feature? Positive votes should promote the story, and that's it. "Burying" encourages tyranny of the majority -- and Digg has an obvious majority.
- sparks2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4ajcip:
Digg has a bury button for the same reason it has a digg button.
The digg community decides what's on the front page. That means digging up things it wants on the front page and burying things it doesnt.
I don't think this page should be on the front page (because its stupid) so I bury it. That's how digg works.
- MohammedAlDura, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14@linkedlist -- "Meh, just a democracy, deal with it."
- Troika37, on 10/12/2007, -9/+17Freedom of speech? Not for the right. How about that whole Fairness in broadcasting deal? Nope, doesn't apply here either. Weird... You'd think they would notice the hypocrisy.
- 4wheel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4....
- sparks2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Freedom of speech means you can submit this article. PERIOD.
The fact that the rest of the digg community doesn't want it on the front page is their problem and you can't do anything about it.
- Egfrow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Communists must always bury the truth from the public. It's how they take and maintain power.
- sparks2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Oh yes, the commies! ohhh! RUN!
- lordwyrd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Democracy is about the freedom for all voices to be heard. Stop squelching something because you fear the truth.
- SchlepRock2112, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Let all opinions be heard so people can make up their own minds.
- WarCriminal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Hey I think I might have an answer how these libs are able to stay so close to their computers......Can you say Welfare?
- sh007r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20You diggbatts are not that afraid of the conservative side are you?
Must you delete, lame, bury everything opposed to your way of thinking? Is this the way you "think"?
You don't even read the posts, you just bury them.
Are any of you over 17 years old? - yo60613, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8@ Troika: "Fairness in broadcasting deal"
Um .. it's Kocinich who's pushing for that, currently, champ.
You should read the news rather than simply try to supress it.- Troika37, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Show me a dem who doesn't want to force talk radio to host left-wing commentators to balance the right wing dominance of the arena.
- yo60613, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Troika .. I may have read your post incorrectly. My bad.
- Troika37, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Sorry, I'm relatively new and had comments out of chronological order. I appreciate your correction.
- DannoJyD, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10The Diggerals already buried this.
God forbid if there ever was a day [or a week] when the conservatives attacked every Diggeral submit. - llbbl, on 10/12/2007, -19/+3You ever think that we might consider the number of articles submitted to Digg from Hotair, LGF and Malkin as spam?
Well that and the majority people don't want your filth on Digg.- 1389, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9BustedDummy/kbkbkb, is that you again?
- Verchiel77, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Whining over buried posts while "thumbs down-ing" conflicting comments into oblivion instead of simply responding.
Then next MalKKKinite or lgf-er to be bothered by that sort of dissonance will clearly be the first.
- chapelite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13So much for "diversity" of opinion, and "tolerance" of differing points of view.
- LB1901, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12More brown shirt tactics from the democratic socialists - the 'tolerant' political party.
HA! - Troika37, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yo - sorry for the reply, i just finished reading the entire thread. I appreciate your correction and apologize again for returning fire.

[comment buried, show commenthide comment] - 4 diggs You ever think that we might consider the number of articles submitted to Digg from Hotair, LGF and Malkin as spam? Well that and the majority people don't want your filth on Digg.
Gee Wally. A brown-shirt. - djparadise, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8It looks like the truth does hurt. I guess the democrat mentality (mob rule) applies here....no need to worry, the new media is gaining strength.
- Ronin11208, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4The liberal Digg-fascists still hard at work, eh?
- Bridgetown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Silly Libs, "digg" down all you want....The Truth shall still get out there~
- lordwyrd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Sorry llbl, but you are disingenuous at best, and at worst a person that abhors the freedoms we have in America. I browsed through this site and seen every insane, Jew hating dogma around. And those are not being squelched. I have seen multiple videos posted by people who can be considered clinically insane, yet those are not spam.
But Malkin is... Strange.
You are obviously unaware of what basic freedoms are, so I will help you out.
Freedom of speech means a person can say what they want. Their is also a freedom of listening. You can walk away from a conversation you do not like. You can change the channel, and you can also ignore it. That is part of our freedom of speech. The freedom to listen or not. You do not have the freedom to bury anything that you feel is a threat to your own narrow minded ideology. If you do not like what Malkin says then disagree, pull up facts, post real data to refute what she says. If you can not find those facts then maybe you should evaluate your own belief es, it may be that you are in error. Or you can continue to put your fingers in your ears crying "nyah nyah nyah I can't hear you" and ignore the truth. That's all up to you. - CosmoAgain, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Liberal playbook:
- Tout point of view
- Engage in "debate"
- Debate goes sour, engage in name-calling
- Shout down opposition
- Repeat opinion
- Repeat opinion
- Quote opinion as fact
- Publish opinion as fact
- Lather, rinse, repeat
Just added to the playbook:
- Bury opposition on Digg in misguided attempt to create one-sided news utopia - jukin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Scratch a liberal, find a fascist.
- KCtheKat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Welcome to Digg Nation, Home of the Liberal mind set..
- mgauer5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3go Malkin, go Malkin
- shayateen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I've seen liberals actually come out and say it in interviews,, they are (verbatim) "afraid of what they (conservatives) might say".
