- digg it
- Borfo, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21...buried
- rockhauler, on 10/12/2007, -17/+9Borfo ?
you buried the story because . . . . ? - Borfo, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21I didn't, actually. It just seemed like an appropriate response. The story is awfully lame though, and deserves to be buried one way or another, not just because it's just so much whining, but also for the ridiculous 'liberal' namecalling...
Speaking as somebody from outside the states, the whole kindergarden level 'us against you' thing you guys have going on down there is astonishing. It's also unbelievable how badly you guys have co-opted the meaning of the word "liberal". - tooslickvan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18I think it's rather strange whenever someone claims digg is liberal considering all the Ron Paul and libertarian stories that make the front page. Maybe it's because digg isn't liberal or conservative. Maybe digg's users have a diverse set of opinions but no one cared for your submission. Some stories get to the front page, some don't. Get over it and move on.
- pcgeek101, on 10/12/2007, -19/+7The Digg "liberals" are just teenagers being brainwashed by all the articles hitting the front page, and making informed, rational arguments like "***** you dickbag."
- orientis, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12pcgeek your comments warrant nothing more than a big juicy ***** you, dickbag.
If only for the fact that you don't respond to comments that make a point, but never fail to mock those who take the easy route and just call you a bag of penis. - RadicalRon, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3You're right, borfo, the word "liberal" has been co-opted.
It should be *neocoM*. - wageslave1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6buried as spam.... and stupidity. for ***** sakes, the site's masthead has a ***** cross in it.
Im sorry, but as you know, the world is finished with tolerating your flat earth insanity. ***** off.
As we know, reality does have a well known liberal bias. - Krymore, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Here's a thought, maybe if you told the bigots in your cult to stop instructing their members to make multiple accounts to cheat the system and spam your "kill all muslims!" ***** to the front page, you wouldn't get buried so much...
- stonebear, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Indeed, buried. Diggers by-and-large are fed up with all the Fascist spamming, and are outraged THEY are not getting paid to do it.
- saikhan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3In case you haven't grasped the concept of Digg:
Each user has a digg and a bury button that they can use at their own discretion. All people are allowed to operate freely and may bury or digg whatever they so choose. Articles which have a high number of diggs are those that appeal to the majority of digg users, indicating a common interest.
If articles are buried, this would indicate that the userbase considers the article in question to be lame, inaccurate, spam etc. It could also indicate that the article appeals to too minute of an audience to gain popularity.
Now that you know, please feel free to submit stories that may entertain, inform, or educate the digg community.
PS- Insulting the userbase with 'Diggbats' in the title and further insulting them in the article is not an ideal way to gain diggs.
- rockhauler, on 10/12/2007, -17/+9Borfo ?
- ldrager, on 10/12/2007, -9/+12If your going to just call people names and
say things that are blatantly false, then it's LAME.
Write for adults who don't agree with you and
don't share your negative sterotypes of everything
and everybody.- 1337Einstein, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I don't know... I tend to consider it more as spam, since it is in such incessant supply these days, that and just about every one of their articles seem to get a duplicate.
- Ratteler, on 10/12/2007, -10/+18Actually, I'm not going to bury you, I'm going to Digg you up. I hope you get to the front page on this one.
Because in your triad of "liberals" Vs. "conservatives" you seem to have missed something about Digg.
It's called DEMOCRACY! It's not "someone" who doesn't like your opinions, but the majority of Digg users who VOTE for your story, or against it, if they don't like it.
I know you neo-cons have gotten used to dimpled chads and hacked voting machines as the way you decide HOW you win, but some of us... like a LIBERTARIAN like me, like the idea that Majority rules and you don't get to the front page by bribing or stealing your way there.
You got to have you say, and share it with any one who chooses to listen. It's just most people voted "Nah" to your version of what's important.
Whine all you want. At least your not as bad as the Micro$oft fanatics who are actually tricking the system with multiple accounts and organized attack groups.
But I'm very thank full that Digg works the way it does. It's almost like our government was promised to work.
Oh and guess what, I got 7 Diggs on a story I submitted. I wish I would have gotten more because it for an interesting computer project that had little to do with politics, but ya know what.... that's democracy in action.- anastrophe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4i'm sick to death of hearing this 'digg is a democracy' crap. digg is not a democracy. unless you're going by the formal definition, rather than the colloquial definition. indeed, digg is a tyranny of the majority - without the restraint of 'one person, one vote'.
digg is a popularity contest. the digg system is broken, particularly when it comes to political content. until there is 'voter accountability', these 'digg wars' will continue, and will eventually trump any actual interesting political content.
i just wish there was an option to filter out the political submissions from bigspy...

- llbbl, on 10/12/2007, -10/+16Freaking-A these conservatives need to stop crying about the vast Liberal conspiracy to exclude content from LittleGreenFootballs and Hotair and your craptastic site.
I bury content from those sites because they are attacking Digg and I don't want to read their mindless neocon drivel. - Verchiel77, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Somebody better do something, Johnson-Digg Syndrome (the persecution fever) is starting to spread.
- TechknoPagan, on 10/12/2007, -9/+17Buried, as the moranic rantings of the neocon tinfoil hat club. (that really needs its own button)
- Borfo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6http://borfo.com/sa/morans.jpg
- KlayBorg, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Well, if we do disagree with an article... Shouldn't we bury it? Isn't that the whole point?
- blogagog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Is it? I thought burying was for inaccuracies or spam. I never thought it should be used to remove actual facts, or opinions you didn't agree with. Burying facts that we disagree with will leave us with a poor picture of the world, or at least an uninformed one.
- KlayBorg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Just like most of the stupid right wing articles that people digg down does? They present a very closed minded, and often moronic, view of the world. The effect of the right wingers upon the world has been so detrimental that people have every right to ignore them... Global Warming anyone?
BTW "Ok, this is lame" is for articles you think are lame... Get the idea?
- PATSCRU, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15There is no war going on on digg, you're idea was buried because of the large number of people who buried it, i'm sorry if majority rule upsets you.
- orientis, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Democracy does tend to irritate neo-cons.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9The KKK would say the same thing if everyone buried all their stories.
You Islamophobes are almost as bad. - Aeon53, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I really don't understand why they resort to childish name calling. I mean, diggerals? Come on...
Dehumanizing and mocking seems to be the new way to converse. How unfortunate.- KlayBorg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1You talk like a fag!
