I've had submissions go popular with more then a thousand diggs, never to see those submissions make the front page. Why? Because I don't engage in PCism, nor am I green enough, liberal enough, or pro-gay. digg is akin to rigged election. Mush like the democrats who field dead voters and illegal aliens to artificially pump up the numbers, I envision the digg staff playing with the numbers of the submissions, voting the left leaning stuff up, while holding the right leaning stuff down. It's very apparent.
- Stevanoski, on 05/25/2008, -5/+17Look at how many on the Left can even threaten your life and your family and nothing ever happens to them. Make one joke about Kucinich being probed and you get kicked off.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -4/+15To provide even more proof of the Digg bias, I've seen several stories become popular with 67 diggs (or thereabouts), but none of them have ever been positive to conservatives and/or Christians. No matter how many diggs the latter stories get -- unless it's in the 1000s like with the Michael Yon article -- they never become popular. Is Digg biased? Oh yeah.
- KMye, on 05/25/2008, -0/+9This same claim/discussion of manipulation pops up any time a new fad hits digg and covers the front page, and sometimes when a smaller active group tries to promote their stories to the front page in the face of many buries from the general digg population.
Aside from a sense of ethics, which it really seems digg still works under, and the incredible extra overhead digg would incur if it actively managed which stories made it to the top, digg earns its revenue off of page views, so it makes economic sense for them to let the truly most popular stories hit the front page.
digg is obviously incredibly biased, but that bias rests with its userbase (which I assume was Beth's point), not the moderators. - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -3/+12And another brainless leftist doesn't read the article but instead trots out his anti-Christian bigotry. I'm not surprised.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -3/+10Dude... Take your meds. You'll find them in the little box in your underwear drawer. Make sure your mommy and daddy don't catch you burnin' while self medicating.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -3/+9Whoops! I guess I neg dugg another bigoted, anti-Christian idiot! What fun!
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -3/+9Digg being gamed by its owners logically has nothing to do with the outside world. The assertion rests upon evidence, which the article provided. You provided no contradiction. You just opened up your mouth and spewed a bunch of typically thoughtless liberalisms, which are funny by now.
- Stevanoski, on 05/25/2008, -3/+5Ouch, doubt he comes back for more.
- reed311, on 05/25/2008, -6/+4You could probably make a lot of money writing a book which blames Liberals for every evil in the world. Ann Coulter seems to be doing well for herself and you writing style imitates hers.
- gypsi, on 05/26/2008, -10/+2"digg bias"? if you don't understand how digg works, then go circle jerk at littlegreenfootballs, subscirbe to rush's hate magazine or simply get the hell off the internet.
- nais, on 05/25/2008, -14/+4What a load of crap, especially after the last 8 years of the increasing AMERICAN TALI BANISM, FASCISM and stolen, bought and paid for elections, losing freedoms that the founding fathers are turning over in their graves as all of this has usurped the constitution, we have been subjected to in the U. S. from people like yourself........down with the Christian coalition and forcing conservatism and FASCISM on everyone!!!!!!
- inactive, on 05/26/2008, -13/+2I see you are on a roll with undermining our troops there you anti-American scum.
Hey pal why not build your own right wing christian fundamentalist anti-American hate site. Then all you bottom feeders will have a place to chat about assenting presidential candidates, and removing liberties from American citizens.
Digg will be a much better place without you scum. - Ramble, on 05/25/2008, -17/+6No group does the repressed act like the Christians, well done.

What is Digg?
