- Napoleone, on 11/07/2007, -7/+63Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel have very dissimilar policies, but all three men reek of integrity. And reek is the right word, because their respective parties find their honesty repugnant.
- rtemp, on 11/04/2007, -14/+64We have to try to actually get this guy in the White House.
- ClosedCaption, on 11/01/2007, -6/+44He layed out the pre-emption is ILLEGAL. I dare anyone to debunk it. Impeachment is the right course of action, its not about how long Bush has left in office. Its about the next president doing the same thing Bush is doing down the line and even worse. The logic will be that since Bush did not get impeached that means, ipso facto that the American people support what hes done on a wide range of issues. Lets look at the Constitution and be guided by that. Not by who we like at the moment. Can you imagine what the president 10 years from now will be doing if spying on Americans, kidnapping, secret prisons, executive priviledge assertions, unlimited power in the executive, torture, Free speech only allowed in fenced off zones, media manipulation etc. is not rejected by America? It will only get worse, no matter who the next President is.
- toddcat, on 11/01/2007, -13/+46Kucinich for Prez!!!!!!
- JohnInMT, on 11/02/2007, -4/+32You should really do a little more research on Kucinich. About the city of Cleveland (which still votes for him today)... even the city council members who were against him and wanted him to sell off the city's power company to some private corporation admitted to him being right and saving Cleveland TONS of money. The bankruptcy was an attempt by the banks to force Cleveland to sell.
The crap that you just posted is almost pulled word for word off of some slimeball republican website that is dedicated to smearing Kucinich. - Samwizen, on 11/01/2007, -9/+36Kucinich is one of the all-too-few SANE voices in our gov't.
His chances seem slim, but sure hope he wins!!
May help if he could join forces with Mike Gravel & even Ron Paul (who's more Libertarian than Repugger--not to suggest that Libertarian positions aren't problematic re: gov't oversight of big biz & such). - joegibes, on 11/01/2007, -2/+27...but what does Kucinich have in his pockets?!
- jamie06260, on 11/05/2007, -6/+31I want to know when the American people will wake up and stand up for the constitution.
- Frei, on 11/01/2007, -5/+28Some people believe there is an invisible man who resembles Wilford Brimley that made the whole universe in 7 days about five or six thousand years ago.
- whatthefu, on 11/05/2007, -3/+24Nice title you got th
- fuzzynyanko, on 11/01/2007, -4/+23Kucinich is one of the few politicians I really like. I'm really hoping that it'll be Kucinich vs Ron Paul in 2008 and not Clinton versus Guiliani.
- dafragsta, on 11/01/2007, -3/+22I call for Kucinich's amazingly hot wife. Seriously, a knockout red head WITH an english accent? That guy? He must have one massive tea bag in his pocket.
- BurnTees, on 11/01/2007, -2/+19i don't know much about the guy, but I took one of those "which candidate is right for you" tests, and he came out as my #1...guess I better start doing some research!
- Gir9000, on 11/05/2007, -5/+19I am totally for everything he stated!
- postingbh, on 11/01/2007, -2/+16People know why Kucinich doesn't register in the polls. A) The polls don't include his name; B) His campaign isn't funded by big business and everyone knows that campaign funding is directly related to election results.
His views may be fringe relative to his party and special interest groups, but they are very mainstream relative to the American people. - quakerorts, on 11/01/2007, -2/+15Goes well with your screen na
- john2kx, on 11/01/2007, -4/+17Am I the only one who finds it ironic that all the people who mention Kucinich's crazy UFO sighting probably find it perfectly acceptable that most politicians believe in God?
As if more people believing in one illogical thing makes it more valid than believing in another one.... - Frei, on 11/01/2007, -1/+13I don't think they see eye to eye on much.
- TheHydrogens, on 11/01/2007, -2/+13Yeah, and Kucinich and Paul both stomp on babies while wearing boots made in sweatshops as well.
- jbus, on 11/01/2007, -6/+16Kucinich's progressive ideas are a far cry from Paul's brand of politics that mixes radical libertarianism with cultural conservatism. Kucinich is about moving forward, Paul is about stepping back to a place that's no longer possible in this modern world. They both agree that the war is wrong, probably for slightly different reasons, but that doesn't mean that their views are compatible.
- JohnInMT, on 11/01/2007, -5/+15Typical crap from the neocon right... Can't argue with the guy's ideas without looking foolish? Well then what else is there to do? Fling personal attacks at him and make jokes about his height! Ya, that'll show people they shouldn't vote for him! "HAY GUYS!!!1 This guy is SHORT! Don't vote for the Short guy...because he's...um... SHORT! " Give me a freakin break....
- banq59, on 11/01/2007, -3/+13He saw an Unidentified Flying Object. He didn't say little green men came from mars and stuck ***** in his ass. And last time I checked George W. Bush takes his orders from an imaginary being he calls GOD.
- postingbh, on 11/01/2007, -2/+12And on the Republican side, 3 candidates don't believe evolution happened. They actually believe the world was created in 7 days, about 6,00 years ago. Our eyes can deceive us for a moment, explaining the 14% of Americans who claim to have seen UFOs. But that pales in comparison to the ignorance of believing the story of creation.
- tensider, on 11/01/2007, -4/+14When some Republicans cross the aisle and allow a 2/3 majority, thus preventing a presidential veto?
- inactive, on 11/02/2007, -7/+17"whatever the communists like, I do the polar opposite."
Commies love their mothers. So, naturally, you hate your mother, right? - kurtwinter, on 11/01/2007, -3/+12uhhh... His fringe views are what catapulted the democratic candidates into the House and Senate in 06. The reason their approval rating is low is because they didn't act on our mandate - impeachment + Iraq pullout. But don't expect he media industry to report on it - they make too much money selling weapons.
- clownguyx, on 11/01/2007, -2/+11So are you suggesting that he fall in line with the rest of the mainstream candidates and continue the status quo?
- pintomp3, on 11/01/2007, -3/+11and bush said god spoke to him. unless the ufo told kucinich to invade a country and kill thousands of people, let's try to stick to the issues.
- Frei, on 11/01/2007, -3/+10Apparently that's what he told Jerry Falwell. I dunno...they aren't consistent on much.
- john2kx, on 11/01/2007, -2/+9Would he be less of a "kook" if he said he believed in God?
- amoro99, on 11/01/2007, -10/+17Impeachment (Bush AND Cheney) is the only thing that will keep Bushco from bombing Iran
- TheLoneHoot, on 11/01/2007, -1/+7John Glenn reported seeing unidentified objects in space. Plenty of respected military, law enforcement and aviators have seen UFOs. Virtually none claim to have said they were aliens.
- john2kx, on 11/01/2007, -1/+7so you're voting for a candidate based on how popular he/she is with other people?? Isn't that kind of circular?
- TheLoneHoot, on 11/01/2007, -2/+8Plus his wife is HOT! Good to see one of us short guys getting the hot chick! Shows she's got a brain, unlike Thompson's "hot" girlfriend.
- john2kx, on 11/01/2007, -3/+9@theblooms, you're a fan of McCarthy, I take it?
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -6/+12Almost as big of a moron as someone who tries to represent Congressman Kucinich's platofrm as solely being about impeachment. Why would a person even say something so obviously false on these boards? Damn, the right wing is certifiable.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7If he's invisible then how do you know he looks like Wilford Brimley?
- TheLoneHoot, on 11/01/2007, -2/+7Can you provide sources? Are you completely nuts? Do you, for even a moment, believe that a person could run solely on a single issue? Has Kucinich not answered the same questions the other candidates have?
- banq59, on 11/01/2007, -3/+8proof or stfu. He seems very agreeable, and was downright funny on the Daily Show. Does George Bush or Rudy know all that much about government? You are just a retard.
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -0/+5They love their mothers eh? You seem to know rather a lot of what commies love. In fact, the finality of your statement implies there can not be a Communist who doesn't love his/her mother which stinks of commie propaganda to me. I always suspected you of being a red chico, with your commie ways and your twisted commie parody of logic.
Or maybe you are just so in the habit of dropping the context of other people's statements you've lost the ability to distinguish what's clever and what's vapid? - izzybr, on 11/01/2007, -0/+5The video cut short of showing it, but what was the audience response to Kucinich like?
- jman34, on 11/01/2007, -3/+7I hope that Dennis can make this a 3 horse race for the White House. Believe it or not there are more democratic candidates than Hilary and Barack. Kucinich in '08!
- Baelorn, on 11/01/2007, -2/+6You..don't believe in UFOs? So it is impossible to see something flying and not be sure what it is? Yeahhh.
- amoro99, on 11/01/2007, -1/+5Correction: Taliban out -- we won in Afghanistan. Hussein dead -- we won in Iraq. TIME TO COME HOME
- JohnInMT, on 11/01/2007, -4/+8Don't you guys ever get tired of bringing up this crap? As "TheLoneHoot" pointed out above, many respected military, law enforcement and aviators have reported that they've seen UFOs. UFO does NOT = Alien.. It merely means Unidentified Flying Object.
- JohnInMT, on 11/01/2007, -2/+6Um... http://www.dennis4president.com/go/issues/ Ever actually take the time to look up where he stands on issues? Impeaching Bush & Cheney is important, but Dennis has many other great ideas which were his platform in the 2004 presidential run, and are still a huge part of his platform today. Before you post OswaldKenobi, do a little research or you end up looking pretty foolish..
- Sapulator, on 11/01/2007, -4/+8I was playing with my legos as this guy was speaking. Never heard of him before- when he said we have to stand up for the constitution i looked up- surprised! I dont know anything about him, but he seems respectable, and if he is who he seems like, I might actually vote for him (third behind Ron Paul and Stephen Colbert)
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -3/+7I thought that was a completely irrelevant and pointless question for Tim Russert to raise during the debate, and unfair to Kucinich. I can understand if he had asked something so equally stupid to each one of the candidates, but he didn't. Kucinich only responded when it was asked about something that was written in a book, he didn't bring it up himself.
Besides, honestly, it would be stupid and naive to think that none of the other people on that stage or in that audience (or even you for that matter) have either seen an unidentified flying object before or had some equally bizarre moment -- Completely irrelevant to politics, either way -- at any time or day in their personal lives..
You shouldn't call him crazy for that. - banq59, on 11/01/2007, -4/+8Dennis needs your help! Spread the word, get people to his site http://www.dennis4president.com/ and have then actually read his stances on the issues. The man is everything you could want from a democratic candidate. He wants to strengthen the hurting middle class, provide health care, get us the hell out of Iraq, help the future by turning to renewable and clean energy sources, protect the Constitution, stop jobs from going overseas, end world hunger, and bring the US back as a world leader peacefully! We have a candidate liberals, his name is Dennis Kucinich. Now it is up to you to spread the word.
