  • AlwaysAwake, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1It is a fact that this "moral hypocrisy", the double standard, is a symptom of what is "normal" (80%) within our corrupt human cultures and societies today, causing us great inner conflict and pain, as well as external conflicts, from the level of family up to nations. The underlying culprit is an all-pervasive, multi-generational, perverse intellectual concept, the idea of Authority. The corruption begins from the moment of birth into the family, where parents assume "ownership" of their "property" with the "deed" called a birth certificate. As the child grows,he/she observes the parents "do as I say, and not as I do" behavior, and since these are the most important principals adopting this corrupt idea of Authority, assumes this is both "normal" and desirable behavior. The child will attend schools, churches, and other institutions and organization meetings, where there are others adopting the idea, role, and mantle of Authority, while indulging in this same double standard, re-enforcing the perception of "acceptability" for such behavior. So, as the child grows older, "moral hypocrisy" encourages his/her own adoption of the idea of Authority, guaranteeing separation within themselves, as well as from others. Philosophies, religions, Gurus, Programs, nor Psychology can help, because they too are based on this aggressive, violent idea of Authority. It is only when the individual non-judgmentally observes the movement and structure of the thought/feelings within their own consciousness, in complete attention, choiceless awareness, that all this fear-driven conditioning and "education" effortlessly withers away.
