- inactive, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2I for one am all for the FairTax and the elimination of the IRS. Let me keep the money I earn and choose to spend it as I see fit. The money I spend goes directly to businesses who than pass the tax money to the Federal Gov.
Besides, the IRS a complete waste of time, resources and money for this country. - peacelvr, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I agree that the IRS is a waste of time, money and resources but, as teichenauer said, there are very good reasons to not support the Fair Tax.
A good pro/con list would be helpful. - teichenauer, on 12/17/2008, -0/+1I've looked at this site. You will likely learn more there about the Fair Tax than if you stick to those facts offered by Fair Tax cheerleaders. I have my favorite method to dig up the information I have found to be most devastating information about the Fair Tax.

If I was a Fair Tax booster I would write a rebuttal to Laurence Vance's article (if indeed the Fair Tax is as good as they assert it to be). Any takers? - tropikimmie, on 12/19/2008, -0/+0The books are the best way to go to learn about it. I've read them both and they are both very informative and pretty easy reads. I've also read the flat tax book by Steve Forbes. Either way would be much better than what we have now hands down.
