Good grief...I'm still laughing over that...;) - whosiwhatzit, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1Mr. Wright's sins have to do with the hate he feels and expresses towards white people and this nation in general. He's a racist and he spreads and reinforces this vile ideology in a church to his congregation. How do you try to help this type of sinner who uses the pulpit to teach hatred? Pray for him, but you must first recognize what this man is doing and expose it when possible. That is all that Anne is doing - and quite brilliantly. He and his congregation need to know the wrongness of this sort of racist philosophy. It perpetuates the divide in this country that should be healed. It won't be healed with ignorant rants from the pulpit - it must be healed with the truth.
- jdieter, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1What matters, is that Obama followed Christ teachings and didn't throw the first stone at Wright. Obama followed Christ teachings to love the sinner. Were Obama to disassociate from bad people he would be doing the exact opposite of Christ. We preach to PRISONS at my church. We don't kick people out or quit the Church when they are wrong, we love them and pray for them. You may think it is perfectly fine to throw stones at the sinner, but then, you aren't a Christian. Respect Mr. Wrights dignity, and love him, and pray for him. Don't shun him, quit the Church, or make fun of him (like Ann Loves to do). Respect the dignity of all human beings.
