- PrismoFillusion, on 10/21/2008, -4/+75Let me get this straight:
When a member of one party votes for a member of another party, that means that both parties are actually just one?
No. - inactive, on 10/21/2008, -9/+51What a surprise. A butthurt Right Wing racist douchebag who's consistently wrong about everything.
- bicyclethief, on 10/21/2008, -1/+43I haven't seen a guy that black since Woody Allen.
- treehugger87, on 10/21/2008, -2/+42All of you posting that race is a factor here are completely ignoring the fact that Adelman wisely turned his back on Bush's idiotic right wing policies in 2006. In 2006, Adelman joined Richard Perle and David Frum in denouncing the neocon failed policies. It's been a long time since Adelman was a purely ideological tool for Bush and Rumsfeld.
- lamiaconfitor, on 10/21/2008, -2/+37Yeah, those Jewish guys look so black... oh wait, no they don't.
You stupid, racist, son of a bitch.
http://www.bookmark2007.com/images/ken_adelman.jpg - inactive, on 10/21/2008, -0/+32Kenneth Adelman is Jewish and white.
You Right Wing nutcases are too stupid. - voxlisa999, on 10/21/2008, -8/+39Hey, Adelman was WRONG, he is not EVIL nor anti-American. If former neo-cons want to join us that is cool. That is the way Barack would want it. Besides, Adelman was the only one of the Iraq War Architects in that famous Vanity Fair story- which was supposed to come out after the 2006 elections- who didn't attack the writer as a 'liar" when a summary of it was posted on their website before the elections. All the others tried to make folks think they were taken out of context so as not to affect the elections. He emailed the reporter and backed him up. Although he was BFF with Cheney. Rummy and actually introducted Wolfie to them- he fell out with them a while ago. And he has obviously come to his senses. We can forgive.
- Edith3, on 10/20/2008, -7/+36Hopefully some more "con-cons" will take note of his Obama rationale: "two reasons, those of temperament and of judgment." Normally I wouldn't think this too important but on the heels of Powell's endorsement, it suggests the tracks laid by Powell and Adelman, both trusted republican White House associates, will be well tread by Nov. 4. Yippee!
- Nicotone, on 10/20/2008, -20/+47After seeing Obama and McCain joke at that dinner the other night, especially after the vitriolic bile spewed from the McCain camp, I find it very unsettling that these ideologues are switching teams.
Is it indicative of the fact that the Republicans have so botched this war, this economy, this country and her reputation that they, like the rats they are, are jumping ship?
Or
Is there really only one party in our country and that the only difference is that one group is gay/minority/women friendly and the other isn't? - theaceoffire, on 10/21/2008, -1/+28Both groups have gay/minority/women participants.
The Republican group however would like to tell those subsects how to live their lives, how to act in their bedroom, etc... - tiology, on 10/21/2008, -4/+28Desperate Conservatives are funny.
- dn11, on 10/21/2008, -0/+20"This is the first time in my adult life I am very afraid for My Country!!!"
Then you're an idiot. I've been afraid for the last 8 years - flashthom, on 10/21/2008, -2/+22Granted, this isn't Italy, where political parties run the entire ideological spectrum, from fascists to centrists to communists. But the fact is, there are marked differences between Democrats and Republicans -- both in policy and in political style -- and you can't say that it doesn't matter who wins. Whoever is the next POTUS will have a very real and palpable effect on the future of this nation.
PS: I understand you like to wear your cynicism on your sleeve, hence your conflation of the two major political parties in this country. Perhaps it makes you feel more circumspect, that is, it grants you a sense of satisfaction going against the grain. Well, it doesn't suit you. Cut it out. - leif777, on 10/21/2008, -2/+20maybe people just don't want another idiot up there...
- MrTarot, on 10/21/2008, -1/+18I must have missed that part in the article where he said anything about "Oh yeah, and he's black." Perhaps I'm going blind, but it seems to me he presented a logical explanation as to why he supported Barrack Obama. Maybe that doesn't sit well with you (and by that I mean, logic).
- bbtweb, on 10/21/2008, -1/+17people like you GreyMalkin are an embarrassment to rational, moral white people.
Thanks for making us all look like racists you stupid *****. - redpickle, on 10/21/2008, -0/+14I'm glad you're afraid, because being comfortable is what got this country to this point in the first place.
- flashthom, on 10/21/2008, -2/+16(Please note that this is the crazed writing of the gentleman above, the most illustrious GreyMalkin, and NOT MY OWN.)
Diggers, I present Exhibit A, one of Grey's more recent comments:
"At least she's not an socialist muslim like Barrack HUSSEIN Obama.
Barack HUSSEIN Obama is not only an Arab, but a homosexual killer. It's bad enough he's a homosexual, but he didn't have to kill men to cover up his *****-ness. 3 known homosexuals from his congregation were mysteriously murder to prevent ties of to his homosexuality. He murdered Donald Young, a 47-year-old choir master at former Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ—the same congregation that Obama has attended for the past 20 years. Two other young black men that attended the same church—Larry Bland and Nate Spencer—were also murdered execution style with bullets to the backs of their heads—all within 40 days of each other, beginning in November 2007. All three were openly homosexual. Obama probably didn't pull the trigger, but he ordered the hits."
Exhibit B: Grey has a photo of himself on his profile. I highly suggest you take a look (raging mullet).
In conclusion, the evidence shows that GreyMalkin is a racist, mentally imbalanced homophobe who fashions himself as the bully from the 80s movie Heathers.
Grey, I seriously hope that you die soon. - leif777, on 10/21/2008, -0/+14Don't feed the trolls
- breadfred, on 10/21/2008, -3/+16Let me get this right, GreyMalkin. You support McCain, a white ***** voting for another white *****? (DISCLAIMER: I am white myself) (PS: although I have sunbathed a bit last week) (PPS: I am also available for any nice looking lass) (PPPS: Forget the last comment. This is Digg. no girls.)
- treehugger87, on 10/21/2008, -1/+14There's a long interesting writeup on Adelman here. http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/982.html It sounds like Adelman saw the light in 2006 and has been a right-wing turncoat since then. I can't really fault him for that ;)
- oldgal, on 10/21/2008, -1/+14Moderate republicans are left in a bind. The ones I know are no more willing to support the far-right wing of the republican party (to which McCain has chosen to pander) than they are the far-left wing of the democratic party. Those that see Obama as a pragmatist who will focus on resolving the problems this country faces move to his camp. Colin Powell said it as eloquently as anyone could.
- inactive, on 10/21/2008, -0/+12Any legitimate Republican/Conservative would be appalled by the reckless and bizarre choice of Palin, who is not only completely unqualified to step into the Presidency, she is literally an embarrassment to the United States and a mockery of our democratic process.
The only surprise is that the Palin choice has not caused more Republicans to oppose McCain's candidacy. That is probably only because they know he is going to lose and are therefore choosing to remain silent and let this whole thing blow over. - inactive, on 10/20/2008, -18/+29Hey Ken Adelman! Thanks for putting the "cakewalk" in "yellowcakewalk".

Cakewalk In Iraq
By Ken Adelman
Wednesday, February 13, 2002; Page A27 - Ljay90, on 10/21/2008, -1/+12I wish I hadn't.
- Anonchrist, on 10/21/2008, -0/+10Kenneth Adelman is secretly a black Muslim. /s
- SexyFarts, on 10/21/2008, -0/+10It won't be long for even McCain to end up endorsing Barack Obama. All the other conservatives are. Rats know when to leave a sinking ship.
- liuite, on 10/21/2008, -2/+12neocons for Obama!
- thomazzz021, on 10/21/2008, -1/+10Adelman is white.....
- pintomp3, on 10/21/2008, -1/+10is that why lieberman is supporting mccain?
- MikeyPow, on 10/21/2008, -0/+9"There are candidates out there that are much better than the Republican and Democrat choices."
Your response is pretty presumptive in speaking for other people's beliefs. I personally voted for Nader in 2000 because I aligned more with Nader's thinking than Gore's. Well Nader's running again, and I can say NO WAY - NO HOW will I vote for Nader this time. I align way more with Obama than Nader. So speak for yourself. Not everyone thinks like you.
And let's face it. We're two weeks out from an election. People are being way more realistic than you are right now. - napsack, on 10/21/2008, -1/+10Did you all even bother to check this guy's posting history. He's just a troll,
- leif777, on 10/21/2008, -2/+11heheheh... he called McCain weird
- dn11, on 10/21/2008, -2/+11I guess Adelman must be voting for Obama's white half - since according to you no conservative would vote for someone for any reason besides race. ....
- poesybeater, on 10/21/2008, -6/+14Jump, rats, jump! Pretty soon it's only going to be Georgie and Johnny left on the sinking SS Republican.
- truthproduct, on 10/21/2008, -2/+10If Colin Powel & Adelman were supporting Obama only because of race wouldn't have have voted for that jerkoff, Alan Keyes (who is very conservative and was actually running on the GOP ticket). They're were also times that they could have voted for Jesse Jackson and Sharpton. They didn't because they are all terrible, terrible one dimesional candidates.
I am black I have NEVER (until now) voted for a black candidate. Frankly, there haven't been enough credible ones. We don't all vote for each other. Most blacks for example, would not vote for Alan Keyes and they'd be split on Colin Powel. Its really about social issues. I won't lie.. many ignorant fools (white or black) will vote for a candidate based sole on race or gender, but I just don't think its rational to put Colin Powel and Adelman in that group. - roctimo, on 10/21/2008, -0/+8lol, nice.
- thomazzz021, on 10/21/2008, -3/+11nails in the coffin.
- JoeMondo, on 10/21/2008, -3/+11It's a hoot to see the dwindling McCain supporters trying to disown the conservatives leaving the sinking ship.
They rationalize them as not being real conservatives - they're "elite conservatives", or "neocons", or, in the case of Powell, "black".
It's funny how these guys were Republican enough for Republican administrations, but one disagreement and now they "never where".
Keep it up kids! - thomazzz021, on 10/21/2008, -0/+8what are you talking about?
- logicbus, on 10/21/2008, -2/+9Choosing not to vote for a candidate because he's inconsistent or unqualified -- or because his running mate is inconsistent or unqualified -- isn't rash or uninformed or unwise. It's just part of the measuring stick.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+7I admire his restraint. I'd've gone with something like "ravening PTSD nutjob," but I suppose that's why I'm not a diplomat.
- FredFredrickson, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6Pandering to any extreme is a sure-fire way not to get elected.
- Sogladtobehere, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6You're obviously around enough to notice...
- bbtweb, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6after reading this i'm a little pissed that I left a reply for the jerk. He's sick... certifiably sick beyond rational comprehension.
- JoeMondo, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6McCain is at least coming through to reach across the aisle.
Only thing is, he's doing it by driving Republicans across the aisle to sit with the Democrats. - Supergliding, on 10/21/2008, -2/+8I couldn't agree more. The republican party has strayed more and more to the right since Reagan. It's finally so far right, it only encompasses macho males and wacko christians. I think it will be much easier to get the wacko leftists under control than the wacko right wingers in the long run. For starters, they're less volatile and don't have to grab a gun to feel manly. Humans are just apes with cell phones. If we can't get our emotions under control and stop waiting for imaginary people in the sky to tell us what to do, we're just apes! We can always get rid of Nancy Pelosi, but Sarah Parrott is another thing entirely !!! In case you haven't noticed, she's already running for POTUS 2012 !!! Just click on the red phone :-) http://palinaspresident.com/
- apastafarian, on 10/20/2008, -0/+6It would be nice if there was more than a the copied-by-you title and buy line in the link!
- Plastic3D, on 10/21/2008, -1/+7From the article: "I would not have hired [Sarah Palin] for even a mid-level post in the arms-control agency."
- ZenMojo, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6Don't even get me started about the Muslims in the McCain campaign that aren't allowed to talk to CNN.
