- emkaysmith, on 07/02/2009, -6/+21The highlight of Reagan's fourth-rate acting career was co-starring with a chimpanzee. But that's different because conservatives have declared him a saint.
What in the world does Franken's career in the entertainment industry have to do with whether or not he'll make a good senator? Oh. It's because he's a liberal. I see. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+14Says the guy who can't manage to spell his name.

http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-daily-show-wi ... - greendalek, on 07/02/2009, -1/+11Jetboy: As a Republican voter, I submit to you that our nation hasn't been any kind of greatest ANYTHING for at least three decades, possibly longer. Can't pin the blame exclusively on the so-called "lefty tools" here folks...
I usually cheer myself up by re-reading the Declaration of Independence --appropriate given the holiday we're about to mark. It does help. - musicbear, on 07/02/2009, -4/+13Yeah, I know. Good thing Stephen Colbert is frickin' awesome dude!
- emkaysmith, on 07/02/2009, -1/+10I wish that were so, but it's not, really, The Democratic "majority" includes at least a dozen Blue Dogs who are pretty conservative, socially. They're likely to break ranks on a number of issues, like gay marriage. But that's the price the Democrats pay for having a *true* "big tent, for not requiring that all members of the party sign a loyalty oath or be hounded out for heresy.
- linkesslover, on 07/02/2009, -5/+12lol @ rush limbaugh going crazy
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -4/+11Um, doughpro, do you really think it's wise to bring up election fraud? Quite a few of us "Evil Liberals" still remember what your GOP boys pulled in the 2000 election.
It's like this, if I had gotten away with murder I would probably not go around talking about murder, or accusing others of murder. I would just stay cool, lay low. - ripple123, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8jetboyterp, you have gotta be ***** kidding me. the first video shows him standing a bit close to someone, he dosent even make contact with them. physical outburst is just a weasel word you use to imply some sort of contact, or assault, when this is nothing of the sort. and the second one just shows him swearing a lot. well ***** me. you better arrest him under the people arent allowed to yell swearwords statute. but then hed prolly countersue under the idiot grasping at straws act of ninteen thirty ***** you.
- emkaysmith, on 07/02/2009, -7/+12No, jetboy, *you're* in trouble, you and your hate-frothing, anti-American, right-wing friends. When the only headliners your party can summon up are Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin, you're in no position to criticize Franken.
- mishabear, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4and in no count was Franken behind.
- ripple123, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5jet, i think the words your looking for are "most powerful nation ever"
- KJSatz, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Finally, Franken is Jesus nudged into the Senate.
- ml4rocky, on 07/02/2009, -6/+9Finally! Al Franken, comedian, what sort of politician will he be?
- ripple123, on 07/02/2009, -6/+9i really like how you slander franken, then offer no reference or further information to to back up your claim, then make a classic Reds Under The Bed statment.
- giveer, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5*ACTUAL* Canadian Mirror: (Don't be mad at that other guy, it was Canada Day yesterday, lots of us were drunk.)
http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-colbert-repor ... - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -4/+7Who are you going to bring to the 2012 election? Palin? lol...
Really. Who? and what will they have done since then to prove they deserve the office?
I come up empty, like your brain. - UselessTrivia, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3The hair is coming back pretty quickly.
- AndrewDB, on 07/02/2009, -4/+6Well, seeing as all politicians are comedians, I'm going to take a wild stab at it and say Franken will be a serious politician.
Does that sound weird to anyone else? Serious politician. It's an oxymoron for ***** sake. - emkaysmith, on 07/03/2009, -1/+3So what was the last eight years? "Liberal" Republicans? And if you haven't noticed, the top management of all those corporations begging to be bailed out are REPUBLICANS. I haven't seen them insisting the government NOT spend money on them.
The days when William F. Buckley epitomized Republican theory and policy are long gone. "Republican" today means socially conservative, financially irresponsible, and ethnically & religiously intolerant. That's who makes up 90% of the GOP. That's the "base" that has taken over the party, and their deities are Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. And their heroine is Sarah Palin.
If you're not one of that crowd, if you don't feed comfortable being associated with people like that, then you should stop calling yourself a "Republican." If you're happy in that company, on the other hand, you should just go drown yourself and get it over with. - vatosplace, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2Norm Coleman couldn't beat Jesse Vemtura then he couldn't beat Al Franken. ROFL
- wizzroom, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2Stuart Smalley (strangely the only one of him in character I could find on youtube):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvgMIerTXl4 - tm13lke, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/
Really? - emkaysmith, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2"They"? You mean "we," monkey-boy. I've been an *active* liberal Democrat for nearly 50 years.
- secrity, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1All I care about is that the government undoes DOMA and DADT -- and it can happen now that the right wing Christians are out of power.
- hanglerfig, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2Let's hope he does not reneg on any of his idealistic promises. Our president, is at the moment, disappointing from the hope we all felt making him the most dugg story of the year. "Change" is easy to say. I can't name many things in my life that are different now than under "W".
- LuckyScofield, on 07/02/2009, -6/+7That was Franken hilarious
- musicbear, on 07/02/2009, -2/+3Don't forget, Goober, Gopher, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Bono and Clint Eastwood were all elected officials. Why not Al Franken?
- RedSaint, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Is it even necessary any longer? I'm watching the video just fine using the original link - and I'm currently located in Europe which used to be geofiltered - but apparantly isn't any more.
- osko2052, on 07/02/2009, -3/+4Yes, real conservative Republicans are. Look how much money has been thrown around in the last 6 months by the Obama administration.
- nkidd, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1liberal - lib⋅er⋅al /ˈlɪbərəl, ˈlɪbrəl/
–adjective A liberal (also leftist) is someone who rejects logical and biblical standards, often for self-centered reasons. There are no coherent liberal standards; often a liberal is merely someone who craves attention, and who uses many words to say nothing. - fightdebull, on 07/02/2009, -0/+0Ummmm...no. How about a real mirror?
http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-daily-show-wi ... - greendalek, on 07/02/2009, -3/+3Start by reading "Why Not Me?", his "account" of how he beat Gore for the nomination and eventually became President in 2000. Freakin' hilarious, even if he DOES pick Leiberman to be his VP... oddly prophetic in a weird sort of way...
- joeraylambert, on 07/02/2009, -3/+3Dude - wtf are you talking - things should stay gridlocked to help even things out - now they're gonna shove anything they want down our throat, on the dawn of the birth-date of our great nation no less.
<deep sigh> .. - fightdebull, on 07/02/2009, -0/+0real mirror here
http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-daily-show-wi ... - kd1s, on 07/03/2009, -1/+1Only reason I didn't listen is because it was essentially preaching to the choir.
- thinkb4utype, on 07/03/2009, -1/+1Jan 20, 2008 ... The St. Petersburg Times endorses Barack Obama for President of the United States.
Really? ... Fail - scarwars, on 07/02/2009, -2/+1uhm..
- BotchaMcCoola, on 07/02/2009, -2/+1Yes,you are in big trouble if you like either the D or the R side of the Left.
- ripple123, on 07/02/2009, -4/+3do you seriously think republicans are the more fiscally conservative? and i dont mean theoretically, but in recent memory.
- Jdban, on 07/02/2009, -3/+2Pretty sure Bush won most every recount but one, and the election was off by plenty of votes.
This election was decided by a difference of about 300 votes, EXTREMELY close - joeraylambert, on 07/03/2009, -1/+0and that makes it ok, that somehow justifies the socialistic tendencies of both parties leeching onto our govt and tax dollars as if were some sort of never ending money tree.
Seriously, wtf. - osko2052, on 07/02/2009, -4/+3Oh boy. Here comes a 20 trillion dollar debt.
- thinkb4utype, on 07/02/2009, -7/+6Nobody listened to him when he was on Air America, the same will be true of the junior senator from Minnesota.
- fabriciom, on 07/02/2009, -4/+3I'm sure he will be great, because he's good enough, he's smart enough, and, doggonit, people like him!
- OliveStreet, on 07/02/2009, -3/+1Are you truly that stupid, or did you spell his name wrong on purpose?
- doughpro, on 07/02/2009, -7/+4Wow, I think I was dugg down in record time! You guys are on the ball today!
I don't remember using the term "Evil Liberals". I do remember the 2000 election, do you? Or are you simply throwing out liberal talking points?
I don't remember ACORN minions running amok across the country, submitting fraudulent voter registrations, nor do I remember ballots and registrations found in the back seats of cars. I don't remember wives who were taking their husbands' absentee ballots, while the husband was serving overseas, and filling in for the Democrat candidate against their husbands' wishes. I don't remember people bringing disabled individuals in wheelchairs, physically putting their hand on the ballot machine, and pushing the button for Gore. I do remember those things with this past election.
You all say Bush lied about WMD's. Whatever. He was bashed his whole 2 terms in office because of it. Obama has broken nearly every campaign promise he made, but you all can't take that glaze off of your eyes long enough to see it. Where's the outrage? Will it appear when you or your parent's utility bills skyrocket? Or your cellphone bills triple? Or when you have to wait for weeks to get to see your doctor? Or when you are forced to pay the universal healthcare "tax" at every job you get? Or your aging parents/grandparents are denied healthcare and have to spend your inheritance for any procedures, prescriptions, they need to have done? - doughpro, on 07/02/2009, -5/+2@ripple123:
that was a pretty stupid statemtent you made. Slander? I bet "lefty tool" is probably nothing compared to some of the comments you have offered. Do you bother to offer references for every insult you throw out to the digg community?
Franken is famous for his physical outbursts. If you are not aware of them, then you are an uninformed (the worst kind) lefty tool yourself. Why are liberals always so angry, anyway?
A filibuster-proof senate is never a good thing, no matter which party is the majority. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I would tell you to read up on the how and why our political system was created, but I don't think you care. You choose to follow the crowd........like the rest of the sheeple. -
