- holesome, on 05/07/2009, -0/+2Special interests and rich corporations have been inserting loopholes into the tax code for so long I'm not sure it's possible to ever clean it up - but I'm totally in favor of trying.
Let them pay their fair share. - inactive, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1Fair share? Corporate earnings are already double taxed in the US. If anything, it's double their fair share.
- inactive, on 05/07/2009, -1/+1I like how the author makes no attempt to defend his position against the fact that this will be bad for business. The author's whole argument is "stop complaining, someone has got to pay for all our *****." He doesn't even consider that corporations already pay for most of our *****. Nor does he consider how the taxes they pay will be affected when you hinder their ability to perform by taxing shelters.
It only hurts US corporations to prevent them from off shore shelters. It will only raise their prices and make them less competitive on the global market.
